Hello Respected Sir, Today I have completed my root canal treatment on my front incisors , due to an fracture, but I haven't applied a crown yet. Can you advise me on whether I can use an electric toothbrush? If yes, which one would you recommend: Sonic or Oral-B? Your quick response to this concern would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Really good video because I like how you showed research papers for each of the 3 general conclusions. Rather than just depending on your credentials. Also, I agree that you would have a hard time messing up choosing one or the other and it’s really down to preference and what you will be using often. I guess technique and frequency of brushing plays a larger role in oral hygiene than fancy Bluetooth connectivity. With proper technique you’d do really well with a simple, old manual toothbrush with all the technological improvements we take for granted in those ubiquitous dental implements. Lastly, I like how you went right to the topic being discussed.
@2:42 i bought 1 Oral-B like this model today . i put it on charge but i didn't see an LED to show me when its fully charge , there is an LED on that model o not ?
Perfect, this is exactly what I was looking for. I'm using a dirt cheap Watsons oscillating brush (MYR 35, about 600 rupees) and was wondering about the Realme N1 at the same price. Like you, I feel like the oscillating one would work better since, well, the oscillating bristles physically move further (~2mm?) than the vibrating bristles (~1mm? less?). But at this price I suppose I could just try it. Good to know that the science is split on this, didn't know they even did studies on this lol. Anyway. Thanks for the video.
Hi Michael, thank you for sharing your experiences. We don't get Watsons brushes here in India. 😅 Realme N1 is a very good starter toothbrush. Very convenient too because of having a nice design and usb C charging at such an affordable pricing ! ☺️
I have both and prefer the round oscillating one to use with non-foamy fluoride toothpaste like Parodontax. I have both the rechargeable Oral B Vitality, an older more expensive Oral B Pro and the 2 batteries operated Oral B All of them works the same way.. so the only thing you need is different heads. I personally prefer the battery operated. The oscillating ones are best for teeth at the back and yes they do feel super clean afterwards. I switch between normal toothbrushes and Oral B and can confirm that Oral B feels 500% cleaner so go ahesd buy the cheapest but get variety of replacement heads

The Xiaomi Mijia t302 is a good sonic toothbrush for reasonable price. The rotating oral b is leaking and make a mess when not above the sink. The brushead of the xiaomi does not leak, so i can sit down relaxed and brush my teeths.
@@AribDeshmukh I am quite sure it will appear in India too very soon. It includes a inductive charging stand and has no unnecessary expensive smart app functions, which I really like :D
I have an Oral B brush that looks like the one in your review. Mine was fine when new but after a few years the mechanism became rattly and the battery life diminished worse than an old iphone. I have a more expensive Oral B brush too with charging lights which lasted much longer but I think they don't represent good value for money. It would be really helpful if manufacturers of rechargable devices were forced to allow customers to replace the batteries once they are beyond their peak. It is utterly shameful that we throw away so many rechargeable items just because the batteries die. As more and more items become cordless we are going to end up with a mountain of devices that only have a problem with the battery.
In my experience, the sonic toothbrushes definitely excel at cleaning around the gumline and between teeth. The high frequency slurry that gets formed is great.
I ended up buying an Oralb Vitality along with a Sonicare 3100, the Philips one is my daily driver while the oralb is reserved for weekly deep clean, now if only I could find a solution for those tea stains. :(

Earlier i used Oral b which was amazing, but recently bought sonic one just to know that it do no cleaning. Sonic is a total waste of money. Oscillating is far too good. No comparison at all
always remember, the best one is the one you're using, oral care is better than no oral care at all, so either of the two, even if the manual ones, if you brush three times a day and floss once a day, youre good and better than those 1 time brush a day peeps, and even better for those whose lazy to even brush lol

Mera budget 1000 ka he. Konsa toothbrush Lena chahiye?
best realme n1 hai lekin uske brush head replacements mein issues aa rahe hai so caresmith spark or mi t100 !!
The Xiaomi Mijia t302 is a good sonic toothbrush for reasonable price. The rotating oral b is leaking and make a mess when not above the sink. The brushead of the xiaomi does not leak, so i can sit down relaxed and brush my teeths.
Nice..sadly we don’t get that model here in India !
Hmmm that true.. but I guess few companies are making efforts for better recycling of the products 👍🏼
In my experience, the sonic toothbrushes definitely excel at cleaning around the gumline and between teeth. The high frequency slurry that gets formed is great.
Absolutely agree, it's much better than rotating oscillating for me too!
Which is best sonic or oscillation one
Not an easy option.. but sonics ones are more value for money and oscillation one clean just a little better!!
I have a Phylian electric toothbrush and the battery charge has lasted over 6 months lasted over 6 months
In one single charge ?
I just bought that Oral B same color today and I used it an hour ago.
How’s the experience so far ??
How is 6,000 oscillation per minute better than 30,000+ oscillation per minute? Sonic should have more cleaning power because of more oscillation
It’s the rotational oscillating mechanism along with the bristle design !
I ended up buying an Oralb Vitality along with a Sonicare 3100, the Philips one is my daily driver while the oralb is reserved for weekly deep clean, now if only I could find a solution for those tea stains. :(
Damn those are two good choices you have made !
Get a professional cleaning done once with you dentist and then maintain it with these electric toothbrushes 😌
You recommend buying oral b for receding gums?
@itzikalma9959 a sonic one would be better 👍🏼
I felt like the sonic toothbrush did nothing! Also it was more expensive than my oral b rotating one 🤷♀️
Hmmm it’s quite subjective Mary..which sonic toothbrush are you using ?
@@AribDeshmukh
Well I agree , but I used the Hum toothbrush from Colgate which is a sonic toothbrush .I like the Oral b rotating one better it seems to clean better.
Well I looked it up ..hum looks like an interesting toothbrush but expensive..it’s not available here in India yet ! How has been your experience with it though ?
Yup even I felt rotating ones to clean a tad better 😅
@MISSIS5150 that's because you're using a cheap ass sonic toothbrush. Get a Phillips Sonicare 9900
Philips sonicare. Is the one you should go for.
What does that tell me? That the conclusions of those studies are depending on who payed for them :))
Maybe..everyone goes back home happy 🤗
Earlier i used Oral b which was amazing, but recently bought sonic one just to know that it do no cleaning. Sonic is a total waste of money. Oscillating is far too good. No comparison at all
Which one were you using?
i have electric oral-B.
Now I,'ll buy Sonic technology 👍😎
Yuppp both are great…I personally use sonic technology tho 😎
What is you impression?
You need to compare sonicare vs io. This is dumb like comparing a Tesls vs a tracktor...😂
It’s an explanation about their mechanism..hopefully will make sonicare vs io soon 🦾
thankyou ♥
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
always remember, the best one is the one you're using, oral care is better than no oral care at all, so either of the two, even if the manual ones, if you brush three times a day and floss once a day, youre good and better than those 1 time brush a day peeps, and even better for those whose lazy to even brush lol
Yeah no kidding Sherlock 😂
Absolutely..very well put 👍🏼
Hlo
What is the average lifespan of these electric toothbrushes?
I know a person whose using one since last 5 years.. I’m myself using one since last 3 years Doc✌🏻
@@AribDeshmukh Sounds good. Thanks for the stat reply!
🦾🦾🦾
I personally found my suri sonic toothbrush made my teeth feel less clean than my oral b and also made my teeth feel a bit more sensitive over time 🤷🏻♀️
Which one are you using now ?
@@AribDeshmukh oral b!
Which model ?
Ah sorry, pro 3 I think. Does the job!
I personally like the oral b toothbrush as it cleans our teeth better and sonic brush is cheap but it is not worth it so oral b is better
Awesome.. which oral b are you using ?
Vitility 100
How’s the experience so far ?
Very good
Awesome to hear that 🤘🏼
nice
✌🏻✌🏻
Bad breath and Acid Reflux almost destroyed my life, l was so depressed to a point that i don't want to live anymore. After countless of trials I was able to get total rid of it bye Dr ohanon🌳🌳
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
My doctor suggested me to get a sonic one
I personally use a sonic one too !
