I love all the Bravely Second themes, but they do all feel a little "samey". I think Tiz has the best and most fitting special music theme in Bravely Second, making his presence as a former Hero of Light proudly known, while the other characters should have had more fitting compositions. I was happy to see Bravely Default II return to the unique feeling special themes, rather than the more centralized compositions in Bravely Second.
This list was fairly expected Bravely Seconds' special themes were really underwhelming and same-y Ringabels is a beautiful MASTERPIECE My only qualm is Seths theme which imo is too good not to be second place
Right! I feel the same with my rating I personally think the theme of the B2 specials only match best with magnolia because she's the unique character of the game and her spunk and character matches the theme with electric guitar perfectly 😄
I'm glad Magnolia's theme is getting some love - even if overall the character special themes in BS were not as unique as in bravely default, Magnolia's always stood out to me
Honestly I'm pleasantly surprised with where you put Tiz's BD theme. A lot of people tend to prefer his BS one, so I'm glad to see I'm not alone in thinking the first one's better lmao. 😂
I think the themes say a whole lot about how memorable a character is, I don't really remember much about yew besides his past. But I would never in a million years forget ringabel or magnolia

I don't think any Bravely song can rival what Tiz's first theme did. I really think it's the highlight of the whole franchisee. But the other song are stellar as well. When I hear Tiz's first theme I think to myself "This is the song that started it all"
something the first game absolutely nailed was giving every character theme a striking identity of its own with a specific lead instrument you're not hearing anywhere else in the game. BS fumbled that with it the overreliance on the electric guitar (like the rest of the OST). BD II was a return to form but for some reason I didn't find them to be quite as memorable as the first game's. Maybe they just don't manage to stand out quite as much from the rest of the soundtrack.

Gloria's theme sounds like it's constantly about to turn into Ringabel's theme, it always hits those first few notes of the Love's Vagrant accordion riff before going back to its original melody.
It's been so long since I've heard the themes from BS; I never remembered the character themes being so heavy on the riffs. To me, imo, it didn't really fit the Bravely series...but holy **** do they rock, especially Tiz's! I loved all the themes from BD and BD2 because the instruments that are in each character's theme represented their identity or their personality and it stands out. That's what I love about Revo; his music almost perfectly describes each character without words.
Yeah, Revo... They are so good. (●♡∀♡) Until today the live concert of Bravely Default brings tears to my eyes. And in BD 2 every single day i hear it's soundtrack, every single day! The asterisks themes are sooooo good. I'm love!
I feel like Edea's theme in BS deserves being higher. While BS has the problem where every theme is basically hard rock, Edea's triumphant start makes me really feel like it's a Hero's return. And considering she is the only returning character that is basically just herself but better and more grown up, it feels fitting. Elvis' is the one only one I despise. Every theme song at least feels like it's a song played in the heat of battle, but Evlis' just takes away all the seriousness and adrenaline away. It de-escalates the fight. I actively avoided using his special moves just cause it felt like I was going from a hard fight into a clow show.

Like you I had some twisted emotions about Elvis theme, but is so great to me today, i kinda understand more this song. Your problem with Adelle is exactly my with Edea 2 And it become so difficult, when you like them all and want to rank, but no regrets, I wish I had at least 4 - 2nd's and 3 - 3rds. I'm glad to see Magnolia again on top, I feel like, if someone pay attention to the song "Magnolia's Theme" (Piano)and after that her Special "I'm Going all out" it become even better!!!
I really like your ranking. Im glad to see Baby Bird on #2, because its also my second place. Only decision i really disagree is Yew, his theme is the worst out of all 12 for me. But except for Ringabell, everyone has a different ranking for places 2-12, which only shows that all 12 themes are amazing :)

Holograd for sure is something! I like it's song too! To be honest i don't like just a few songs in franchise, in BS for example the cavern song: "Wandering in the Dark", not that i dislike it... i just HATE it with my soul. The "TA-RAM" thing in this song drives me crazy lol.

Pra mim foi uma ótima surpresa esse tema, pela escolha dos instrumentos e estilo, no meu rank só não ficou mais alto por que como expliquei nos CC eu sinto que as vezes não vai bem com batalhas, mas com o personagem em sí cabe perfeitamente, pra ser honesto o Elvis poderia unir o mundo com uns drinks, até em sua fúria ele é calmo kkkkk. Elvis song feels like something I should drink coffee while listening to Can’t say I’m a fan of yews song but yew isn’t my favorite character can’t say I care too much for Agnes, like what it’s got especially his original Seths song I’m kinda impartial to Adele’s feels like they could have gone with something else, Seths I don’t mind it’s ok but I’ve played all the games and the older cast had better stuff magnolias song is ok it’s not bad or anything but can’t say it’s my favorite the stuff tiz got was awesome I cant say I hate it with a straight face because it’s really good and ringabells theme is just the best hands down you cannot say that that song isn’t one the best thing they gave to him

What are your thoughts about the Concert versions of the Bravely Default Character Themes? As heretical as it may be to admit it, between setting Love’s Vagrant as my alarm (and therefore oversaturating myself to it) and singing the singable translation of You Are My Hope, it may have actually usurped Love’s Vagrant on my list.
I'm used to only listen the non vocalized versions, sometimes i skip the vocalized versions when i hear the concert (at least 1 time for week), they're not bad, they're great, but i preffer the instrumental ones, not only in BD series, in most games is always skip vocalized versions of themes, in general IMO they don't fit so well
Weirdly I like Elvis’s least it just feels so out of place. Shame you don’t get to hear these much in 2 as often other strategies are just better than actually using your special.
For my list which will be crazy but 1. Ringabell- no explanation it speaks for itself. 2. Elvis- i really like the song the saxophone is really good and soothing to hear like a nice night out. 3. Tiz (bs)- very bad ass very im gonna wreck shit. 4. Adelle- fun and cool and exciting to hear . 5. Edea (bd)- it sounds really good too me most would probably not agree. 6. Yew- i like it. It sounds heroic like a a knights theme. 7. Seth- i love the spanish vibe it has too it. 8. Magnolia- its great but not the best. 9. Here I'll fix it for you because your ranking is horribly wrong in my opinion Edea bs-the change and comparison to her old one make this the worse in my opinion the really dropped her old theme for this garbage Yew bs-its severely lacking and it just seems to weak to be a special theme it doesn't even stand out in it's own game and it's the first one you can hear Tiz bs-like a lot bravely second themes it's too loud and obnoxious and just like edeas very lacking to what came before Magnolia bs- same reason as the first three just a bit more memorable out of the new characters in bravely second Agnes bd- it's very pretty but it can break the flow of a combat and is kinda distracting but still very fitting Tiz bd- fitting for the character representing the player and is only really out shown by having edea and ringabels themes to compare to Gloria bd2- honestly just doesn't fit her as a character she's supposed to a powerful princess standing up for what she believes but lacks a foundation so why does it sound like a usual damsel in distress theme with a beat Gloria got done dirty Seth bd2- the fact that he's a sailor really seeps into his theme and fits quite well though it's out shown by the others Adelle- as a call back to edea and the emotion behind it this is one of my more personal favorites sadly I do admit it's lacking but it fits thematically Elvis bd2- who ever at square thought to give this guy a completely different genre as his special music and make it work your a genius not only is it a treat for the ears but the first time hearing it in game Really is a jaw dropper thematically and it fits Elvis Ringabel bd- I'm sorry but how this can't be number one when it's the most memorable and thematically fitting in the series on anyone's list is beyond me loves vagrant perfectly describes this blond haired amnesiac Casanova and it is still one of my most favorite themes in the bravely series

Gloria's theme sounds like it's constantly about to turn into Ringabel's theme, it always hits those first few notes of the Love's Vagrant accordion riff before going back to its original melody.

It's been so long since I've heard the themes from BS; I never remembered the character themes being so heavy on the riffs. To me, imo, it didn't really fit the Bravely series...but holy **** do they rock, especially Tiz's! I loved all the themes from BD and BD2 because the instruments that are in each character's theme represented their identity or their personality and it stands out. That's what I love about Revo; his music almost perfectly describes each character without words.

Until today the live concert of Bravely Default brings tears to my eyes.
And in BD 2 every single day i hear it's soundtrack, every single day! The asterisks themes are sooooo good. I'm love!

I feel like Edea's theme in BS deserves being higher. While BS has the problem where every theme is basically hard rock, Edea's triumphant start makes me really feel like it's a Hero's return. And considering she is the only returning character that is basically just herself but better and more grown up, it feels fitting. Elvis' is the one only one I despise. Every theme song at least feels like it's a song played in the heat of battle, but Evlis' just takes away all the seriousness and adrenaline away. It de-escalates the fight. I actively avoided using his special moves just cause it felt like I was going from a hard fight into a clow show.
They could call the next title Bravely Default: Sun & Moon so it would be abbreviated as BDSM

In my opinion Baby Bird is underrated, it just fits Edeas character so well.
1-9 are master class themes in my opinion, but i really love all 12 themes :)

Here's my list
12 Elvis - Mother Earth's Toast of Toasts After the Battles! (First time I heard it I thought it was out of place and trash. I like it now though!)
11 Edea - Don't Underestimate Me! (Edea and Tiz have the same problem their themes sound like special attacks not character themes. every other song reflects the character its for. the ranks can swap for these two.)
10 Tiz - I'll Finish Them Off!
9 Adelle - And Thus, The Wandering Flame Rises Higher (The biggest problem going for Adelle's imo is despite having trumpets it fails to hype me up.)
8 Agnes - Windward (The 1st theme that doesn't have any problems it's just beaten by the others.)
7 Gloria - The Princess's Pride Blossoms in the Rain of Sorrow (Windward+. Honestly Gloria is just Agnes+ which is wild because I LOVE Agnes.)
6 Seth - The Seafarer's Skills Tame the Storm! (HYPEST SPECIAL THEME IN BD2)
5 Tiz - You Are My Hope (The classic that started it all. Once this song hit I was slammed with an avalanche of good music from the game.)
4 Magnolia - I'm Going All Out! ( Magnolia and Yew are interchangeable in rank. Despite sharing the guitar they sound distinctly different and SUPER GOOD.)
3 Yew - I'm Getting Serious!
2 Edea - Baby Bird (like everything else on the list i love this song and it reflects Edea so well its like a musical mirror image of her)
1 Ringabel - Love's Vagrant (You know I had to do it.)

Like you I had some twisted emotions about Elvis theme, but is so great to me today, i kinda understand more this song.

And it become so difficult, when you like them all and want to rank, but no regrets, I wish I had at least 4 - 2nd's and 3 - 3rds.
I'm glad to see Magnolia again on top, I feel like, if someone pay attention to the song "Magnolia's Theme" (Piano)and after that her Special "I'm Going all out" it become even better!!!

I really like your ranking. Im glad to see Baby Bird on #2, because its also my second place. Only decision i really disagree is Yew, his theme is the worst out of all 12 for me. But except for Ringabell, everyone has a different ranking for places 2-12, which only shows that all 12 themes are amazing :)

Holograd for sure is something! I like it's song too! To be honest i don't like just a few songs in franchise, in BS for example the cavern song: "Wandering in the Dark", not that i dislike it... i just HATE it with my soul. The "TA-RAM" thing in this song drives me crazy lol.
O tema do Ringabel é o meu favorito tbm. Afinal, o próprio Revo canta a versão vocalizada dele. Acho que em segundo lugar vem o do Elvis... Eu amo quando o Revo faz música no estilo jazz, e essa não foi exceção. Obs: Acho que o tema do Elvis vai ser cantado pelo Revo tbm. Se for, vai subir na minha lista pro primeiro lugar qq
Pra mim foi uma ótima surpresa esse tema, pela escolha dos instrumentos e estilo, no meu rank só não ficou mais alto por que como expliquei nos CC eu sinto que as vezes não vai bem com batalhas, mas com o personagem em sí cabe perfeitamente, pra ser honesto o Elvis poderia unir o mundo com uns drinks, até em sua fúria ele é calmo kkkkk. Mas é um tema maravilhoso, indiscutível!

What are your thoughts about the Concert versions of the Bravely Default Character Themes? As heretical as it may be to admit it, between setting Love’s Vagrant as my alarm (and therefore oversaturating myself to it) and singing the singable translation of You Are My Hope, it may have actually usurped Love’s Vagrant on my list.
I'm used to only listen the non vocalized versions, sometimes i skip the vocalized versions when i hear the concert (at least 1 time for week), they're not bad, they're great, but i preffer the instrumental ones, not only in BD series, in most games is always skip vocalized versions of themes, in general IMO they don't fit so well
Weirdly I like Elvis’s least it just feels so out of place. Shame you don’t get to hear these much in 2 as often other strategies are just better than actually using your special.

For my list which will be crazy but
1. Ringabell- no explanation it speaks for itself.
2. Elvis- i really like the song the saxophone is really good and soothing to hear like a nice night out.
3. Tiz (bs)- very bad ass very im gonna wreck shit.
4. Adelle- fun and cool and exciting to hear .
5. Edea (bd)- it sounds really good too me most would probably not agree.
6. Yew- i like it. It sounds heroic like a a knights theme.
7. Seth- i love the spanish vibe it has too it.
8. Magnolia- its great but not the best.
9. Edea( bs) sounds pretty good but not as good as her first one too me.
10. Gloria- it sounds like a lullaby with a little upity too itself i like more epic songs it doesn't do it for me.
11. Agnes- its sweet and nice but regular
12. Tiz (bd)-sorry his is really high pitch i cant like it but i love when tiz and agnes them is mic together its really beautiful would be up there.

Here I'll fix it for you because your ranking is horribly wrong in my opinion
Edea bs-the change and comparison to her old one make this the worse in my opinion the really dropped her old theme for this garbage
Yew bs-its severely lacking and it just seems to weak to be a special theme it doesn't even stand out in it's own game and it's the first one you can hear
Tiz bs-like a lot bravely second themes it's too loud and obnoxious and just like edeas very lacking to what came before
Magnolia bs- same reason as the first three just a bit more memorable out of the new characters in bravely second
Agnes bd- it's very pretty but it can break the flow of a combat and is kinda distracting but still very fitting
Tiz bd- fitting for the character representing the player and is only really out shown by having edea and ringabels themes to compare to
Gloria bd2- honestly just doesn't fit her as a character she's supposed to a powerful princess standing up for what she believes but lacks a foundation so why does it sound like a usual damsel in distress theme with a beat Gloria got done dirty
Seth bd2- the fact that he's a sailor really seeps into his theme and fits quite well though it's out shown by the others
Adelle- as a call back to edea and the emotion behind it this is one of my more personal favorites sadly I do admit it's lacking but it fits thematically
Elvis bd2- who ever at square thought to give this guy a completely different genre as his special music and make it work your a genius not only is it a treat for the ears but the first time hearing it in game Really is a jaw dropper thematically and it fits Elvis
Ringabel bd- I'm sorry but how this can't be number one when it's the most memorable and thematically fitting in the series on anyone's list is beyond me loves vagrant perfectly describes this blond haired amnesiac Casanova and it is still one of my most favorite themes in the bravely series
