@@pixelrat18k95 yeah google it, its a way to play online on private servers, not ea, there are like 5-10 somewhat full. You need a game and a project rome patch to play.
It's nice to see the attention to detail in the new animations such as the correct single action functioning of the hammer in most of the single action pistols, watching the firing pin drop on the bolt action rifles and smaller things like removing the cutouts on the receiver for a drum magazine on the Thompson M1A1 and having the proper iron sight alignment on all the firearms. The coolest detail is how there's trigger discipline while not firing and the finger is lightly placed on the trigger after reloading!
Portal, while having quite stiff animations (AKS-74U most importantly) and sometimes weird sound design, at least they fixed a lot of the mistakes; Cocking firearm after tactical reload for some, cocking after dry reload for the other, mirrored models, corrected Beretta model And also changed the reload animations So they would be more appropriate for the time the game takes place in. Still no correct SPAS-12 reload animation though... 😒
Bad Company 2 uses the same animations as Bad Company 1, but the animations in the first game actually have cocking animations, it was apparently a design decision to remove them in 2.
Few games get the SPAS 12 reload animation right lol. But some animations look really off to me, like the M16 5:30 (you can also see there's bullets left in the mag he throws away), or the PP2000 4:07. Overall it feels like they've tried doing too many things in too little time. They had to remake a lot of gun models and animations, no wonder why they're bad/unpolished.
Man, I really can't help but notice how jank the case ejection animations are in Bad Company 2. The ADS G3 at 8:30 has the casings originating from the left side of the gun, and flying up and over the right side. With the rifles like the M21, you can see the casing fly in front of the scope for a split second immediately after firing, and not when pulling back the bolt.
Bad Company 2 had, hands down, the best sound, and more importantly, the best preceived reflective reverb in any game I have ever played. Incredible experience.
Love the sounds from BC2, for animations i prefer the 2042 because they make the soldier looks like picking out a new magazine while in BC2 it is like he is using the same mag. It also makes sense that you don't dump the non-empty mags and save it for later . And ofc having the recharging and ''one round in the chamber'' animation is a big plus. But BC2 sound effects are just superior. And while the animation is decent but i just wish they didn't ruin it by removing the recharging animations which existed back in the BC1.
Notice how in bc2 after firing it echos in the background, little touches like that just improved firing a gun so much more it's nowhere near as noticeable in 2042 which sucks

The thing is that while DICE was keeping BF5 on life support, Infinity Ward showed up and kicked them out of their niche, which was the "realistic-er mainstream military FPS". And now every FPS that tries to step into a realistic presentation will have Modern Warfare as the standard, while Battlefield will only keep embarassing itself.
I’m pretty sure when you mean the gun was “on the wrong side”, means them being mirrored, most of them were.
