Nike decided to rebrand the shoe to the GT Hustle so it wasn't confused as a running shoe... Then with the Hustle 2 they decided to take inspiration from the Zoom Talaria...a running shoe LOL

Chris, I picked up a pair of these in Australia a month ago - I'm a big guy, and wear a size 18 in Nikes. It is "*amazing* and one of the most comfortable shoes I own. Great cushion, great support.
These are giving me the Air Trainer vibes. The toe box, the eyelets at the top, the back heel portion... if you squint you know what I mean. I love these.
Curious to try this. Low to the ground is music to my ears.

I think I said this in a different review of yours, but I love Nike putting some time in on bringing together bball tech and coming back to a more lifestyle design touches again w/ these, Dbook, Ja, Sabrina, Freak, and Lebron. Felt like adidas and puma were the only ones interested in from court to street recently.
I agree with you Chris, these joints look way better on than in hand. As far as looks. They look kinda funky, but at the same time I really like them. Even the color way is interesting. Thanks guys for another great review!

I’ve been saving unlaced for when I have a chance to watch, but I didn’t realize it was a podcast, I thought it was a vlog! It might help attract new viewers if it literally has ‘podcast’ in the title or thumbnail. All love from Canada for the Wings, I’ll be tuning in as usual
These shoes are great, I just played in them this morning, they definitely feel like a running/basketball hybrid shoe, definitely felt good and the traction was on point
Are they as narrow as they look?

I loved the GT Run except for the thin outsole. They are still my go to for outdoor hoop, crazy bouncy, no knee pain, run all day. I hope these are as good.
I need these, definitely reminds me of the Zoom BB and other full length zoom low profile basketball sneakers from the mid to late 2000s.
I think these might put my LeBron 20s in early retirement lol.
I dig the shoe…it also reminds me of the Air Max 1 for some reason. The traction reminds me of the J Kidd Zoom Flight 5….but I wish they used the traction pattern for that shoe…it was AWESOME!! Track spike inspired.

Love the Jordan 11 sole inspiration
When I seen the bottom of the shoes it immediately reminded me of the Nike huarache 2008 sole with those same pods in the bottom of them
The upper reminds me of an AJ1 with the 2-lacing holes of the AJ3 and midsole gives off AJ11s. But I love the looks of these 😮
So far, I like the idea. Some of my favorites shoes to hoop in are trail runners. The grip and lightness of trail runners are crazy underrated as hoopwear. This looks like it incorporates the trail runner benefits with a more durable upper. Nice.
Shoe definitely has a 90's vibe. The whole silhouette, the toebox paneling, very 90s. I didn't dig them until they were on feet though, they look so much better on feet. That outsole is really sus looking to me tho. I don't know why Nike insists on trying to reinvent their traction "systems" this drastically for what's supposed to be a solid on-court performer. Like, we know what works. They know what works. Full length Herringbone or Radial patterns, multi-directional. Doesn't have to be complicated. The traction looks like the bottom of a shower mat, like a bunch of suction cups. Maybe that sounds cool on paper but idk.
These actually remind me of a mix of the air max 1 toe, the original Etnies Mike Vallely shoe and the sole (from a side profile) of the Jordan 11 and a little bit of Jordan 1 / dunks overall aesthetic as well. Super cool shoes that are up my alley. Just got a pair and I hope they come out with more cool color ways. I wish they would actually make these a Nike iD customizable because there is a lot you could do to it because of its simplicity. I’d love these as a baseball cleat as well…

just tried them in store 20mins ago. Liked the look and feel but they run small. I am US8.5 always but my toes were squeezed in these. Cushioning is not as much as gt cut 2 but good enough.

those midsoles looks exactly like the Jordan Superfly 2017! along with Blake Griffin's JB PE shoe. although it didnt have zoom but instead it was the firmer react type of foam that was too firm that took forever to break-in lol

I don’t like the look, material, nor the too low to ground court feel, however I already ordered a pair in the “Community of Hoop” off white and hyper pink colourway, since there have been some very high praise from reviewers so far
To assess whether a shoe is original, matching the UPC code is sufficient

Maybe a helpful insight. Tried to use the Move insoles on these and similar ones like the KDs and they feel weird. Like a bit of rocking motion. Just a tip for someone who’s planning to do so.
I wouldn't recommend replacing nikes insoles on zoom strobel the plastic on the moves can pop it

Actually there was a Nike Hustle basketball shoe. It’s a big kid/little kid basketball shoe. You can find them in the other shoe stores like Rack Room etc.
It’d have to be named GT Hustle to be considered it’s predecessor since it’s the GT Series or line of footwear.
