I’ve had my 30t press maxed trying to straighten a rod and it would not budge, just shows how much force is in the combustion to send a rod like this!
Few know just how extensive Sam’s knowledge of engineering and performance engines is. He’s a very serious gearhead /racer from way back. He’s a very capable machinists and engine builder that few know about… Of course his knowledge of chemistry is unsurpassed as he developed all those car products himself….

Taylor Ray's working on his new comp.drift Vette now, fitting out a front mount tranny, driveshaft & rear diff. and i'll bet watching Brent and Garrett pull the OG setup out of Leroy over and over at RMRW helped push him in that direction. Leroy getting a whole new drive-train will make it so much easier to race/repair him. It'll be well worth it to see him "hold" the next 61 lbs of boost! : )

7 bend rods goes to show how well built that engine was. It literally held the boost. Rods simply were not designed for that boost number.
The neighbor just hard chillin and buffing all your cars is the best addition to the team in a while. I'm sure he loves it too, really nice of you guys to let him hang around and get some fulfillment at his age, even if it's just simple things like cleaning/buffing cars. Not many people his age still get to do things that make them happy like this, really cool stuff.
Eventually would be cool to have a shirt for him too, you could have a cartoon picture of 1 of those bent rods and have him standing there with his machine saying "that'll buff out" or something. lol

Man I'm sure I don't got to tell you, but that was the BEST case scenario result of feeding that many onions. Way more carnage could have happened. Hats off to the builders. Not too many engines could handle that much abuse that well.

For sure! Also the fact that 7 bent rods, none of them broke and windowed the block. Not sure if the bores of the block survived but having that kind of carnage and still having a good crank, block, and heads is pretty remarkable!

The motors we run for our latemodels run $30k - $40k range for pretty much race ready minus carb and we’re only at most 900hp N/A, so I’d assume it wasn’t cheap for most hahha

@@mergru6371 I mean it could be because all are motors are aluminum block, heads. The dodge motor we have is a 410 ci small blocks with crazy high compression roller rockers, we run at 8,500 to 10,000 rpm for a whole race.

I’m so happy to see some down-n-dirty Leroy content. Makes it even better that there are some big changes coming! Leroy is why I started watching the channel. I’ve been watching since Cleet bought Leroy and I’ve seen every version of the car since then. I just hope one day you guys bring him all the way out to a drag strip near me in the PNW!
ill tell you what. the first video i watched which i didnt think was just a joke video was "we bought an auction corvette" and i have watched every video since that one within 24 hours of its release. ruby is still my favorite cletus car, but james 240 and the nova are my top 2 favs from the channel. and then ruby and then leroy. i got to see leroy and the nova in person at LS fest west, leroy is still a bad motherfucker. its getting hard to not call them all my favorite now. and now george and the blazer! oh man i been wanting to see a fast truck(its close enough for my likes) out of these guys. best race team on youtube. i just wish they would get some steve morris engines for a few of them. i think ruby needs one!

Until I started the old tractor pipe bitch up and smoked out the pumps, anyways.
This actually a thing in the USA? every pump here in the uk does diesel and petrol(gas) more than half the cars on the road are diesel and commercial vehicles are all diesel.
@@denisohbrien Most stations in my area now have 25-50% dual pumps now, but 15-20 years ago it was usually one pump per station. Commercial vehicles use commercial stations.
@@-tr0n interesting, I guess europe/uk adopted small diesels and the USA did not, if the demand was there all stations would have mixed pumps. Cant speak for the rest of europe but the main driver here in the UK was fuel prices. even a "big" sedan gets over 40mpg as a diesel. Unfortunately while your fuel prices are still laughably cheap, you guys are heading down this road too..
It is crazy to think that when I started watching this channel it was just a white C7 with exhaust whistles, and it has grown into this.
