They signed the Everly Bros. as Johnny's summer replacement show for 1971. I think they only made 8 or 9 shows, but you never see those shows on TH-cam or available on DVD.
This song is included in their album Songs our father tought us. Daddy Ike was a great finger style guitar picker in the style of Kennedy Jones, Mose Rager and Merle Travis, not to mention Chet Atkins.
Quite interesting how far that fingerpicking style meandered around. Arnold Shultz taught Ike Everly, Ike Everly taught Merle Travis, Merle Travis taught Chet Atkins, Chet Atkins taught Scotty Moore and so on. It´s so cool how things travel through generations.
Schöööööön.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Besonders Phil.💘
I'm so grateful that these video clips of the Everlys are available on TH-cam. What an amazing tallents they were 💕
Being a Kentuckian, I LOVE this song and those voices!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!
So, so gorgeous.
No man nor super computer could reproduce this.
Just beautiful ❤

Another new one I’ve not seen before loved those Brothers .what year was this?
1970
Don’t think the brothers on any worse terms than usual, but Don was going through a painful divorce at this time.
