Thank you! I’ve been looking all day trying to find the issue! I attempted (dumbly) to replace my handgrips yesterday and couldn’t figure out why my brakes weren’t working! They work now! Much appreciated!!!
THANK YOU! I followed exactly what you said and re-searching my problem with my brake lights and sure enough I have my brake handle installed incorrectly. Thanks for the tip. I got you saved in my library.
If your brake light stays on all you need to do is unplug both positive and negative connections and if the light stays on then you are good with the rear brake and you move up to the front brake sensor. All in all, it was a very informative video thank you for making it.
@kencalip6129 If all your fuses are good, no codes, and the switches are good, you might have a short in the wires. I would check for continuity on wires. Check your plugs under the seat.

@@kencalip6129 if you haven't messed around with the front brake lever at all, most likely the rear switch. Check to see if your bike has any diagnostic codes.
I noticed on my 2008 Harley Davidson St. glide I had a rear bulb out so I bought a new bulb and the bulb still didn’t work but when I step on the break the brake light came on the turn signals came on on the right side and left side but the bulb would not turn on for the running lights. How do I fix that?
Hey bro i changed the light bulb on my softail but my brake light dont flash sometimes it does with the rear but with lever it doesnt what could be the problem?
Check the button switch behind the lever. When you press the front brake lever, it suppose to release the pressure on the switch which turns the brake light on. When you let the lever go, it puts pressure on the switch, shutting the light off. You may have a problem with that.
@@GlidingOnTwos yes it did very much so my brake light was on all the time and I just unplugged the rear brake light switch and it fixed it now brake lights work for front brake
@chrisramirez8977 You don't if you already know it's the rear or the front. But if you're not sure, then it's always good to double-check before throwing money at it.

Why does my switch started leaking oil and my break pedal goes all the way down and if I press the pedal it leaks oil?

On my old 2013 SG I had the same issue and it was the pressure switch
Yup, normally that's the issue. That's what prompted me to make this video. Hopefully it can save someone big money.

First check your fuse for the rear lights. If that is not the problem, check your diagnostic code because you might have a break in the wire.

I'm confused my rear brake light won't light up and the front is it a possible relay or a ground fault?
Could be the relay for the rear wire. That's where I would start.

Yessir! Got the first HD back in 2012. Been thru like 5 of them. Got 2 in the garage now.
Ok thanks I’m going to just have to do it my self
Sometimes you have to! 🤘🏾👍🏽
or just unplug the rear brake switch leads and turn key on. if brake light goes out it would mean that rear switch is stuck closed. Thus faulty

You more than likely have a short in your running light wire. Try tracing that wire from the light to the plug under the seat.
