In what way? Thatcher was already on her way out long before he decided to challenge her for the leadership and almost everything he’s said about Brexit and it’s impact in the economy and the effect it’s had on the credibility of the Tory party has also now come to pass. They are as of August 2023 heading for an even worse defeat than 1997, this time even the blue wall rural Tory shires are abandoning them.
