Those war horns remind me so much of Warhammer 40000 that I keep wanting to hear them come out with something like 'For the Emperor' or similar phrases.
Anybody else feeling awkward when Baradul is playing matches on HPG and we don't know if he shot the Lucky Eye in the beginning? Just look at the damage score in the second match :D ...
4:20 - I’ve been seeing a lot of interesting builds with LRMs since they changed the mechanics during the last patch. I think people are just trying to figure out what works with the new direct-fire angles. A 2x LB10X / 2x LRM20 King Crab isn’t necessarily a bad build... but I’d personally go for a couple of big MRM launchers instead.
"okay it's lost you noobs, they have the top" score is 1 to 1. Yep, no need to shoot anymore, might as well recycle the mechs into an agromech and go play Farmville. (final score 12-3).
I may have to try this. I bought one a week ago and have been trying to figure out what to do with it. I have mostly been running it with 1xERPPC, 5xMG, 2xERuL. I am also running the fastest engine it can have as well as almost the entire Mobility Tree and all the Radar Dep nodes.
O well, you can't win them all. It's a shame because I thought I was doing fairly well until you rolled over me :). (I was the Vapor Eagle in the second match)
Both are good in their own right. Piranhas are great for late game mop up when everyone is already open and wounded. It's a tough early and mid game mech. I always find it hard to be a battle buddy in a piranha because when the enemy sees a fishy, they tend to shoot the fishy :)
may I suggest trying my favorite build currently, direwolf-uv clan, load out, 3x clan uac5, and up to 4x clan er large lasers skills fire power matched accordingly, full armour/skel dens. and the rest of skill points, where ever one may like.
were you inspired by ttb's recent build vid? this looks similar. but sometimes you think about machine gun builds and realise you should just go back to the piranha. so many times i look at a thing and think hmm... but then i realise i could do it better with the same old mech i was already running. but i suppose you gotta try new things in case you find something better.
probably not, Baradul makes his vids well in advance of the date of release. You can tell on this one bc there is a "down for maintenance" notification from PGI for March 19th. So that means this video was made on or before March 19th.

Wow what a monster damage in the second round! I remember only twice having 900+ dmg in a light mech
GG! Great video as usual!
@Baradul may I ask what gear you are using for gameplay? Keyboard/Mouse or a Controller or Joysticks?
He uses keyboard + mouse, like every sensible person.
Which one better an Incubus or a Piranha???

You would have had 1000 damage if that teammate of yours had not walked in front of you while you were shooting.
there should be a system that punishes fools. If a blind teammate walks into my fire, how about dont screw me over, but teach them a lesson instead?
