Honestly, Game composers have some of the trickiest jobs music wise. You effectively need to read the scene that is being paired to music to highlight the emotional and dramatic heights and lows without stealing too much of the scene
I’m sure C418 was sweating bullets trying to make music that would fit all biomes. Then there was Mick Gordon just throwing chainsaws and lawnmowers at the listener while Mongolian throat singing into the abyss with heavy modulation.
It's easy to see why video game OSTs are considered to be "good music." Video games are a form of storytelling, and each and every scene needs music to fit. Having bad or "off-topic" music would derail from the overall feeling of the scene, and the storytelling as a whole.
Underrated artists being underrated is actually quite poetic. Think about it, on a personal perspective, whenever you stumble across their songs (especially by pure chance), it really feels like you just discovered rare treasures deep undersea. Not to mention that their music being actual bangers is one thing, you can tell it is made with passion, and that's what make them so great and valuable. Moreover, some of these composers even offer their shit for free even though they, themselves, are probably starving and rely mostly on voluntarily donations/payments and other well-known content creators to give shout-outs. Absolute gigachads in this giant music industry, if you ask me.

I do attend classical music concerts occasionally, and, while there are those attendees who look like they've been in attendance for every single concert since 1945, there are a fair number of middle-aged and much younger attendees also. The nice thing about classical is that it is kind of timeless. Music fads come and go, but it's always just there.

The nice thing about classical is that it is kind of timeless. Music fads come and go, but it's always just there.
Honestly. Something that says a lot about the last few generations is how long the music remains relevant, with each generation growing shorter and shorter until today, where most pop songs remain relevant for 2 months on average, maybe 6 of they're lucky.
I'm 16 and go to classical music concerts every once in a while but where I'm from it's like 65% old people and 30% middle aged people and the rest are maybe a few younger people.
But idk I'm from a southern Balkan country and people here don't really appreciate classical music so yea
