I found a large seed in a fruit from my moms tangelo tree last year, as far as I remember it's pretty rare to find seeds in the fruits from her tree. So I planted it, low and behold the tree is only 1.5 years old and has already set like 16 fruit. Not only that but since then while it's fruit grows it grew new branches and 2 of the new branches even decided to make new flowers which I'm not sure if they will take or not. Seriously the most rewarding seed planting experiment ever that's far surpassed anything I could have asked for.

Had a tangelo tree when I was younger we planted it at a house that we lived at. It never produced tabgelos like that. Wow.
Ate one from the market. I think 'Sumo' variety? Planted its seeds. Years later, enjoying very juicy fruit, just like yours. Skin not as dark orange but fruit wonderful.
They are delicious, yours are so much more colourful than shop crap
I was meant to be getting scions of tangelo, yuzu, ruby red lemonade and tangerine off a mates tree but in lockdown as you know and he’s just over border in queanbeyan nsw so will have to do in autumn instead
Lockdowns end soon, maybe try then.
Haven't found a tangelo plant over here yet but time will tell.....

@@RealLifeFruitopia That's nice! I've started eating more vegetarian meals in my diet plan. I like taking days off meat and eat only fruits and vegetables during the week! I do apologise if I caused any offence as I didn't know 🙃

Not yet, although a tiny citrus, it's also very sweet.
After tasting Tangelo, Dancy, and Owari fruits I decided to get rid of my 5 year Tangelo tree in my front yard and replace it with Owari.
