I was happy you mentioned the harvest time is February to March. This is a big mistake people make. They are orange in December but taste bad.

Yep, I have a few soft fruits right now but normally by February a lot of them are at their prime.

So much work. Here in Florida I assume it is going to rain pretty much every day for about half the year. Our fruit trees like that.

i live in the san gabriel valley here in so cal. i in my experience planting citrus trees in the ground, i have had several trees not grow for the first 10-15 months. those varieties are Dekopon, Tango, Lee x nova, washington navel. I also have experience with varieties that started taking off almost immediately after planting like Gold nugget, shasta gold, yosemite gold and clemenules. i think two determining factors are, season in which they are planted, and the vigor of the variety.

I am sooo happy you let yours be bushes. I'm faitly new to AZ and haven't followed the typical way ppl near me do, bc i feel they need shade on their trunks, bush style must help them not dry out the soil under them. We wre hotter here, - Yuma srra-and mine has evening shade. I've been binge watching you and am so glad you popped up in my feed tonight! Leaf curl, yellow leaves, and i wemt out and watered them all deeply. I think ill try your 48 hour drip! Thank you!!

I had a project at school here in southern Arizona and took over in February. It’s the second year in the ground and all the flowers dropped even though it produced last year… assuming it’s because they didn’t water enough or fertilize enough during the fall/winter, hoping I can make it bounce back for the future interns next year!

Will the minneola tangelo produce fruits without being cross pollinated from another tree? It sounds like it will?

I have some tangelo seeds that I started with wet paper towel and are now in a pot and about 3 inches tall, Can this plant ever have fruit and how long and is it worth trying to do this. I will try to grow anything but a reward is always good as well, thanks

I actually have a seedling from this tangelo I let grow and fruited within 3 years. Fruits look like an orange and taste sour. I feel so bad about cutting it, I'm at a loss lol.

Check nurseries in the IE riverside or chino.
It’s hard to find them in LACO or orange co due to citrus restrictions.
