- Vernier Caliper- Zero Error | Introduction to Physics
A vernier caliper is used to measure an object with dimensions up to 120 mm with an accuracy of 0.1 mm.
An instrument which does not register a zero reading when the actual reading is zero has a zero error.

Omg thankiew so much. it’s the day of my physics exam at midnight and I’m Secondary 4 and I FINALLY understood how to read a negative zero error in ur 5 min video. Amazing what a 5 min video can teach me that 4 years in sch can’t.
Thank you so much, you taught me more than my teacher has reached me for 7 months, in 5 MINS
You're very welcome!
Your a live saver bro, you really made me understand in less than 5mins, when i struggled to understand when i studying the topic

Thank you so much sir😊❤
Your video was absolutely wonderful
thanks for the video. Very helpful
Tnx! I have my practicals tomorrow! Very helpful😁😁
At first l thought l am not getting you.bit at last when you asked the questions about zero error believe me l answered within no time isn't that great 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Very well exlained. Thanks
very good explanation. thank you.
thanks for the video it was real helpful BUT i need to know how to give the true /actual reading of the vernier calliper
Thank you so much sir...it's the best channel for practical experiments...
Btw one ques- where do you live sir??
Thank you very much sir its helped me a lot may god bless you
Thanks a lot for this!
Very helpful.....Thankyou soo much... It's really great
"You made it a cakewalk for me. I appreciate your efforts, sir."
Thank you kindly
thank you so much for saving my life 2hrs before my pba paper
happy to help :D
Finally understand how the heck I count zero error, my teacher never teach and just give the exercise
thanku sir u deserve more then 1 million
Thank you, sir!
Thx.. It really help me to do my homeworks..
what do you do with the zero error once you know it?
THANKS ,,,it's, really help full to us.
Will we read from the vernier scale or main scale
Thank you really helped me a lot................
thank you so much you clarified my doubt about reading from the back :)
You’re welcome 😊
It's 8 years old from now
And proves "old is gold "
Thankyou Sir, Very helpful video.
Sir your good excellent nice video and also your way of explaing is so nice thank you so much.

It was very helpful! Thanksssss
😊😊
i finally understood! thanks mr
Glad it helped!
Wow very helpfull..thank you soo much
Very help full video
Hello sir,
Can you please tell me that why we do (total div - coinciding div of VS ) × L.C.
PLEASE TELL me that from this formula came?
Did u got the answer?
Explained well.
This helped me a lot thank you very much!
:)
Glad it helped!
Thanks a lot....thank u very much Sir....😊
What is the least count 0.01 or 0.02
Thank you so much this was a huge help.
You're welcome!
Nice one sir
Sir I wanna know about least count error and wht does it actually mean
it helps a lot!!! THANK YOU!! 😊
You are most welcome :)
Thank you vv.much you solved my problem
This video taught me more in 1minute than the 1 hour lesson
glad to help :D
Sir u are telling us in the case of negative zero error that we should take the reading from the back but in my book it is written that we should subtract the coinciding division from 10 and the answer which come will be the negative zero error
Thank you! This helps a lot.
You're welcome!
thank u i had a great confusion in this now cleared thank u a lot !!!!!!!!!🤗🤗🤗
You are welcome :)
it was so helpful..really very thankful to the concerned
You are welcome :)
I am from India your video is helpful for me thank you for making this video
It's my pleasure
Why 2 zeroes are there on vernier scale??plz someone answer me
Hi OP, thank you for the explanation
My pleasure!
Thank you sir
Then what’s the difference with positive zero error and vernal scale reading?
Thanks alot sir very useful nd informativeGod bless U

How the zero error equal 0.02 didn’t understand how did you get that number??
Thank u ! I finally understand
Glad it helped!
Is vernier scale reading and zero error same because vernier scale reading=vernier coinciding division×least count and zero error=vernier coinciding division×least count??
Thank you so much
Thank u so much for this lesson I was like 😢 but now am like 😊
glad it helped :D
Thankx man ❤
Thanks it is was very helpful good explanation!!!
You are most welcome :)
Thankyou sir. It is really helpful😄
Keep watching
Plz..share video of taking readings in vernier callipers ......
u got a new subscriber
So should I write "sources of error " in my notebook. I'm confused 😅
great explaination
thanks :D
Tq very clear idea this vernier callipers
Nice!
Thanks bro you helped me a lot 🙏👍
Glad I could help
Tysm
thank you! helped a lot!!
You are welcome, Shaunak Ramesh
can anyone tell me why negative zero error must be read from back and not from starting of vernier scale
U can read from front and substract ur answer from 10 because it is negative 😮
Really helpfulll thanks a lot!! 💕
You're so welcome!
Very helpful👍
Thnk u so much
Very helpful, Thanks!
You are welcome :)
Thank you sir, it was awesome.....
you are welcome, @Deepak Sangwan :)
Amazing explanation 😭
Glad you liked it
Thank youuuu 💯
Very helpful
In negative error we don't always read from back we need to observe if it is increasing ir decreasing
thank you very much sir it helped me lot
you are most welcome :)
Amazingly taught for cbse students…my teachers couldn’t explain it
I am not really sure but shouldn't the readings be to 1 decimal place (cm)? Like in 4:33, it should have been -0.6 cm and not -0.06cm. however, it could be -0.06 mm. Please correct me if I am wrong
Nah bro the least count of vernier caliper is 0.1mm/0.01 cm.you can write it as 0.6 mm or 0.06cm its your choice.
nice one sir
where are you from, sir.. :}
Thanks sir it helped a lot🙏😀
Most welcome 😊
Helped me a lot thanks saved me lol
You're welcome!
