I can still hum the tune in my head! Consider there were not many wrestling games for the C64 this was a classic! I really enjoyed this game when I was a kid.
I remember me and my cousin out town seeing this game for sale at Hills Department store. We used to watch wrestling all the time and couldn't believe they made a wrestling game for c64. Couldn't wait to get home to play it. Many..many hours of play. Great memories!
I loved this game, My friends and I would make up names for the wrestlers. Such as the gambler was the guy with the grey bowler hat. Indian Joe was obvious. But the player you controlled was called golden boy. Classic game
Heh, played this one tons of times. I think I still even remember the basic controls like hold button, push towards your char's front then pull back to grab etc. This clip made me feel all giddy. XD
This was my first wrestling game, and I can still remember the music, that I must have heard about 10,000 times in permanent repitition. I think I broke two joysticks on this game alone. Later, I actually ran a fantasy wrestling league by myself, using the wrestling match demos that ran when you weren't actively playing. Yes, I was a loser, thanks for asking. :-(
It's classic that captured our youth, growing up as a kid in 80s we loved computer games and wrestling, this was one of best, tag team wrestling was okis but RnW a masterpiece
Spent a lot of hours playing this game!! When I bought it the name was Bop N Wrestling. There was a surprising amount of wrestling moves in the game for that period of time.
i used to own this game and thought it was okay ...but it really bugged me that all it usually took to pin someone was one move. it was pretty much impossible to kick out.
I loved this game as a kid. And I was pretty good at it too. Clotheslines, dropkicks, press slams, aiiplane spins...great stuff! One problem though: I had no idea of how to kick out of a pin. I coudl simply lose a match because the bastard jumped on top of me after only missing a dropkick!
You had to have high health to do it, and if you got hit with a piledriver , you rarely kicked out of that... I got so good at the game I used to do a Hulk Hogan-style Axe Bomber clothesline a a finisher... one time I actually hit a running opponent with the splash off the top for a pin... ah the memories..
I bought it .. I thought it was ok, Way of The Exploding First / International Karate + were better though. This was going to be titled Big Daddies Rock n Roll Wrestle but Melbourne House or someone lost the rights.
Wow, I'd give you a millions dollars for posting this if I had it! I loved this game even if it did result in my older brother doing a piledriver on me on a hardwood floor! They should have said, "Please don't try this at home"
Wow, the animation on this game was a thousand times better than Championship Wrestling or the crap Tag Team Wrestling!! Can't believe I never owned this game back in the day.
Yeah skipped maaaannnnnny a day of school wit my older bro wresting on c64 which always result in him tryin the latest finisher on my in our living room,I was grounded for a week cuz my bro says "I'm tellin mom u broke the glass coffee table....."what do u mean??I said its fine and then a pile driver off the couch head first thru said coffee table....!ahhh thanx for the memories I think...
What about the greatest Bop N' Wrestle finisher of all time...The Bleeding Heart Liberal. Your opponenet is down on the mat at the top of the ring. Take your guy and have him at the bottom of the ring facing the bottom ropes and press down and the button. Your guy will go flying backwards and land on the opponent. Another wonderful BNW glitch.
hi guys yeh this was great look at it now lol..ok im trying to find a game comm 64 where a cowboy shoots geese out the sky to start then think next level was riding his horse into town over the tumbleweeds then when he was in town shot the white bad guys popping up in the buildings..anyone play or remember this thanks?
Opponent 1: Hillbilly Jim Opponent 2: Goldberg Opponent 3: Iron Sheik Opponent 4: Hado Gay Opponent 5: Cowboy Bob Orton Opponent 6: Some punk Opponent 7: Tatanka Opponent 8: The Destroyer Final Opponent: Some stupid guy with a stupid hat
When you haven’t heard a song in three decades… and finally itch that scratch. Many thanks!
My friends and I played this game for hours after school! Memories...
It was almost the Village People Wrestling Federation....

Me and my friends shared the same scenario. Played this constantly for months on end.
The noise when you kick, hit or knee your opponent is priceless. (As well as the voice of the referee). ^^
I LOVED this game as a kid! I still remember all the moves lol
Great game! I played it as kid in the 80s on our C64, amazing gaming times! The music is pure nostalgia!
I loved this game, My friends and I would make up names for the wrestlers. Such as the gambler was the guy with the grey bowler hat. Indian Joe was obvious. But the player you controlled was called golden boy.
Classic game
I used to love this game !
Gee whiz, talk about a blast from the past! This takes me back 20 years to my early teenage years. C64, some of the best games ever.
this brings back a few memories
Oh my god this game! Lol
I played this one all the time.
Heh, played this one tons of times. I think I still even remember the basic controls like hold button, push towards your char's front then pull back to grab etc. This clip made me feel all giddy. XD
You’ll never forget those moves. Do you recall how to do the headbutt though? My personal favourite on this game as you could repeat it ad Infinitum.
Great game. Superb gameplay! Very addictive and very fun. Simple and still versatile.
This was my first wrestling game, and I can still remember the music, that I must have heard about 10,000 times in permanent repitition. I think I broke two joysticks on this game alone. It's classic that captured our youth, growing up as a kid in 80s we loved computer games and wrestling, this was one of best, tag team wrestling was okis but RnW a masterpiece
I remember this game. The 1st wrestler was Farmer Bill. Then 1 eyed Jack. I used to use that pile driver move on them all.
What a fun game that was. My favourite move was the headbutt
i remember this game as Bop N Wrestle...i saw it in K mart and couldnt wait to get it...
This game brings me back since I was 8 years. That was some 20 + years ago. Thank you for posting this. Great video, music sounds good, Memories.
I loved this game when I was a kid!
This game ruled.... i loved it... Commodore Till I Die! Thanks daddy for buying me my first computer and computer game! :)
This game would make a great Christmas present alternative to a PS5
the crunches were louder from last I remember it... them elbow drop and kicks were like somebody eating carrot
me and three friends played this game for 18 hours straight when we were kids
Louis Lestat The game you are thinking of there is called Kane.... I spent many hours playing it.
Spent a lot of hours playing this game!! When I bought it the name was Bop N Wrestling. There was a surprising amount of wrestling moves in the game for that period of time.
I spent THOUSANDS OF HOURS on this mindless fun on my C64!!
AWESOME! cant believe someone else bought that game
I’ve still got it 😮 alas I haven’t played it for about 25 years though.
i used to own this game and thought it was okay ...but it really bugged me that all it usually took to pin someone was one move.
it was pretty much impossible to kick out.

IIRC, you had to jiggle back and forth on the controller as fast as you could. That was the only way to kick out.
Exactly!! I think I once kicked out doing just that out of desparation. I was never able ti pull it off again haha. Fun times though!

I beat this game easily as a kid and i did love wrestling back in the good old 80's
The C64 games mag, Zzap!, actually gave this about 60% in their review 25 years ago.
How wrong they were. This game was brill.
This is a 90% game if I ever played one! 😮
Too bad you couldn't get any moves from the backside. That back suplex was really hard to pull off!
Kane. Classic game.
Wow, I'd give you a millions dollars for posting this if I had it! I loved this game even if it did result in my older brother doing a piledriver on me on a hardwood floor! They should have said, "Please don't try this at home"
Looks cool, really arcade. I've never seen this before! So I know what to do tonight on my C64 :). Thanks for add!
I remember this game.
WOW! Add me to the list of people that had this game. I always used the Ironhead Viking guy.
the guy in black suit is King Kong Bundy.
lol, i played this game wigging my joystick left right as fast i i could to avoid countdown hahaha, got this music in my head forever....:(
Pretty sure it was down/left to up/right. I spent so long figuring that out.
The music in this game sounds like the Road Rovers theme....complete with occasional barks.
This game was great.
I remember the first time I beat Lord Tuff...
"3-2-1"
...
I was ecstatic :D
Ahh... good times.
Played this as a kid. Awesome.

The match that begins at 0:22 is better than any match the WWE has put out there in the past year.
Great, my favorite too!
