For me, I loved their first two records, and then Ultra Mono and Crawler almost blended into one another. I was simultaneously tired of their one "thing" and a bit unconvinced by their attempts to try new sounds. Tangk, for me, worked really well. I'd had a long enough break from them to enjoy their thing again, and they break new ground with a bit more clarity and confidence than before. That said, your ranking of Ultra Mono here makes me want to give it another look.
I can see the merging of Mono and Crawler there was next to no gap between them really and it all swirled together in that weird pandemic era! TANGK is definitely growing on me the more time passes, it definitely gives me confidence that they have a lot of great music ahead of them! Thanks for watching 🤙
