    You nail it bro
    Our people are not demanding at all and we are not serious as a region . The western region holds about 60% natural resources in the country and we don't see anything .

    Jokes aside, you are included in that list you mentioned which reinforces the idiom "the best comes from the west", mindful that is some feat because Ghana is up there so the west[ern region] is the best of the best.
    Also pink is fine in the sunshine, light colours reflect sun and keep you cool.
    If you are comfortable with what you wear that is all that matters.
    You ask a pertinent question about OUR resources and it is not just a problem for the Western Region but simply those in charge have given OUR resources away !
    Change is needed & fast !!!

Im a Jamaican living in the UK at the moment but i can see why Ghana is becoming more and more popular with the diaspora. I hope that the government doesn't make any foolish agreements with China.

    The place is beautiful. I did not know that is where all the goal is that the goverment is using to trade, but if Ghana has oil why is the government buying oil from another country.
    So are the muzungus living in Takoradi? I hope Ghana government and develop by products industries from oil and gas. Also use some of the money to fund universities research and development projects. Africa have the resources but dont know what to do with it because they dont do research and development project to create uses for what they have. As we learn in college, people don't know that they need something until it is produced. Africa should invest heavily in research or partner with those doing the research so that they can get bigger shares of the profit for products that are being developed.

    Thank you for showcasing this beautiful resort. Regarding development, companies pay the government of Ghana for development impact fees and permits. In addition, they pay more than enough VAT, fire, environmental, and ongoing fees to cover the cost of developing and maintaining infrastructure. Despite these payments, there seems to be a mismanagement of funds, which is the likely cause of the lack of infrastructural development throughout Ghana. ✌🏾

    • @kwawkwansah2452
      @kwawkwansah2452 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is not just a mismanagement of funds it is mismanagement of the resources due to weak leaders.
      Any mining and extraction of resources should remain under the state for and on behalf of the people.
      Have a look at Aramco and who is effectively the only stakeholder in that enterprise.
      Governments are given a mandate to represent the people, something which in Ghana and Africa they abysmally fail to do !

    The government is disrespectful to its people by making them live like closer to animals than HUMAN beings who have dignity and respect. How can you look at what Dubai and Qatar have done for their own people within their riches and then look at Ghana’s decision makers with ANY RESPECT. We can’t! We respect WODE MAYA, but we see the government and political leaders for the negligent NON-leaders that they are. Shame on you all for making your people live such undignified lives.

      It is an affectionate term used in Ghana for a particular region which has massive resources.
      Tourism is only a tiny part of what this region of around 14,000km² provides it has many resources and sources of revenue.
