@@shanehester5317 which is why you are hearing more people claiming they are supernatural. I agree. My inclination is that they are not real, and most cases I believe are made up and the rest can be chalked up to misidentification. I've been stuck in that swamp at night, and it can be isolated and very creepy, so I can see how people's imaginations would get the best of them. I do believe we would have some solid evidence by now, besides footprints and grainy pictures.

True Story: on our trip back from Florida to Texas I cannot remember exactly where we were at the time but we were just about to get on one of the looooong bridges over some swampy waters. It was late sometime past 12am. And as I’m driving I’m talking to my wife I see a huge shadow. I stayed quite for a moment as we passed it up. I remember a huge dark silhouette easily over 6ft tall, if I could give my best description of what I seen it would be Shaquille O’Neal in a dark colored Gillie Suit. This thing was walking slowly and appeared to be hunched over. After I passed it up I realized the car was silent, I looked over at my wife and she was like “did you see that?” And I was like WTH I thought I was tripping. That thing was huge. We thought about turning around and checking it out. But it was super late and we still had a 5 hour trip to get home. So we chose life. This thing was moving so if it was some person in a costume trying to scare someone at this time of day. I applaud you 👏

You are absolutely right that there are things in the woods that some would say aren’t supposed to be there. Most game wardens will tell you to your face that there is no such thing as a black panther in Mississippi. Several years back, I worked in a photo developing lab in Starkville, MS. I had a lady bring in a roll of negatives from a game camera in her back yard that had a photo of one walking behind a stone bench in her yard. It’s back cleared the bench seat by over 6”. In a previous frame, she had photographed herself walking by the same bench and that seat came to her knees. She was about 5’8. That was no kitty cat. I now live farther south and often hear stories of sightings of large cats. I have heard things, too. So awesome to see you guys in the area and I love the way your group comes in to look and the often skeptical approach you take to stay unbiased. Stay safe and enjoy our home!

He's a hermit and was teased and bullied back when in high school and later in his young adult life because of his excessive body hair. He was called a loup garou or rougarou. He would come into Picayune or Pearl River a few times a year for supplies and check his mail. It has been 15 years since his sister had contact with him.

As an insomniac I haunt the house usually from about 2 to 5 AM. It was quite pleasant to sit on the back porch, in the dark, drinking coffee, listening to crickets and tree frogs while the dog wandered around until I started hearing things. One night there was a "Whoop!" and then a responding, "Whoop!" some way off. I knew what that was because of David Paulides. (Thank you Mr. Paulides!) At first, it occurred to me that it could be kids, but who would be out in the pitch-black, thick woods in the night, without flashlights in the mud? It's been raining here on and off for weeks.
Another time in the 4 AM hour, a quiet night, there were sounds like large branches snapping. One about every two seconds. It sounded maybe 5 to 6 times. Both this and the whoops seemed some distance away so not too concerning. But enough to warn that they might be around.
Around this time, we decided to put motion sensing flood light bulbs in all the flood light fixtures. There are 7 fixtures with 2 sockets each, thus 14 motion sensing bulbs, that work independently. It was like a disco the first couple of weeks. Lights flashing on and off all night all around the house. But if you looked out the window you saw NOTHING. That has dissipated, thankfully, to almost nothing now. Perhaps they thought it was an amusing game at first.
Another night just outside the window there was a low whistle. Like a coaches' whistle but not that loud. Of course, it was on the other side of the window so it's hard to judge the volume. One short blast. That one gave me such a start that it felt like my bones rattled.
One afternoon, removing a spider from the gazebo with a wooden tool, I tried to knock the spider off the end of it. I tapped it on the porch railing a couple of times and IMMEDIATELY sharp, staccato wood knocks started. Maybe 7 of them. That's when I remembered the website said don't do that EVER. "What have I done?"
Later, my dog and I were on the back porch in the dark (probably around 3 or 4 am) when he returned to the porch, trotting up the stairs, there was a low gurgly growl. That was enough for me. It's too close now. We don't go out after dark unless we're together (my spouse and myself) with the flood lights on. Oddly, the dog didn't respond to the growl at all. He didn't even seem to notice it.
Another time: someone threw 2 pebbles and a small rock at the window. Tick...tick...tick. They were laying there the next morning. I had hoped it was bugs hitting the window.
Fortunately, I've never: seen anything, experienced anything supernatural or felt the debilitating fear others have. It's mainly just creepy at night. Covering the windows thoroughly has helped eliminate much of the night time creep factor.
This is the second one sent 9/13/21: None too concerning but a heads-up that the Sabe are here. This is a follow-up.
We've continued to hear them making various sounds: whoop, woo, and whoo-roop with whoo-rup (in response), etc.
Since then, we've had some experiences that were much more alarming. I'll start with the least to the worst and in order of occurrence.
One morning, it was light, we heard a chorus of bloodcurdling screams coming from the wood to the east. It sounded like 3 to 5 women screaming for about 10 seconds.
About a week ago, around 10 am, while out on the deck putting a bit of seed in the bird feeder (only enough for one day so as not to draw the Sabe) I looked over into my neighbor's wood and in a small bright clearing stood a Sabe. From that distance it was impossible to say definitively if it was male or female. The chest appeared to be flat so I'll say "he." He was facing the back of my neighbor's house. He stood stock still. I got a good look at his silhouette. He was dark colored, hairy, and slim. He didn't appear to be particularly tall or stocky but was a classic shape in every other way.
I ran in the house to get binoculars but when I returned seconds later, he was gone.
This is the worst one. We just moved here a few months ago, and I love this place but this gave me thoughts of selling... My husband suggested we go out on the gazebo to have coffee, IN THE DARK, yesterday morning. I'd already had one growl at me when I was sitting out in the dark drinking coffee and had decided to never do that again. Anyway, we went. It seemed that if we were together, it would be okay. No.
We have some fairly bright flashlights so when we went out, we scanned the wood to our east, north and west (our house is to the south). We saw eyeshine in the wood to the north (about a half-acre away). BIG eyes. We held the lights there and it never moved but it closed its eyes several times. It appeared to be crouching down behind a large pile of soil we have gathered for our raised planting beds.
That's when the noise started. It made the Sierra Sounds a joke. They weren't trying to be quiet at all. They were yelling. They had us surrounded on three sides. They were signaling back and forth to each other with woo and whoop sounds. There was just about half a second of the "ninja chatter." There were more sounds but it was too much to take in. It was overwhelming.
I said, "We need to get in the house NOW!" My husband stood still in the middle of the porch (we'd left the gazebo and were moving toward the house) and said he wanted to listen to them. I said we can listen from INSIDE!
As I was at the back door I flipped on the floodlights and it went quiet, THANK GOD, and my husband said he heard at least one thumping off with heavy footsteps.
We had our phones with us but we didn't record anything because it was stunning and happened so fast. I can see why people don't catch these occurrences. Perhaps we could go out again, as bait, and have our phones recording.
It was quiet for a long time after that. This year (2023) we heard them tossing acorns or pebbles against a window then a month later banging in the woods and twice on the house. It woke us up. It was loud. That's all of it so far. Our neighborhood is being built up. I hope they go away.

WOW, thank you for this detailed report!
while others still ponder if the sabe are "elusive", "legendary" and whatnot you and me know they are real. and many other people around the world know this, too.
i am writing from germany where the wild forest people have a long history (documented in old papers and paintings, e.g.). they are here in my neck of woods, just 2km further, behind the city limits.
i have seen them, interacted with them, collected evidence (not for myself, though) and they keep building the same structures, leaving the same traces and bending trees the same way as they do in the us, canada, australia, china, russia and everywhere else.
and like everywhere else on this planet german authorities keep their existence under the carpet, for many good and bad reasons.

@@felice9907 Thank you for your reply and I'm sorry for my late one. For some this platform turns off my "answers to comments" toggle so I don't know anyone has replied.
We found a blind in our little wood behind our house. They'd bent a tree over and placed dead brush up against it like a picket fence. It was perfect for viewing the house. I tore it apart in blind fury thinking someone was watching us. I wish I'd taken a photo.
I did take photos of footprints and later tree structures though. They recently had pulled a bunch of yaupon hollies together in a dome shape. I cut them down, chipped them and now they're mulch in my garden.
I have no ill will against these creatures but creeping around watching us at night is horrifying and unacceptable.
Why do all these governments try to hide these creatures? What's the point? Millions of people have seen and reported them. At this point it's ridiculous.
Our government, the US, is so corrupt I wouldn't put anything past them now.

    • @felice9907
      @felice9907 ปีที่แล้ว

@@obelus5985 how interesting all this! I can imagine why the governments are hiding their existence: it would cause a huge loss in several fields like logging, camping, hiking etc. but what counts even more, imo, is the fact that these beings are the closest relatives that we as humans have.
official recognition would imply question of special protection, human rights and other social and even religious issues that might cause turmoil and panic.
so, in a way, it´s good for these forest folks to be rather safe by "non-existing", on the other hand some of them are aggressive and a pain in the neck but that doesn´t really make them different from us "normal" people, does it?

18:53 where the alligator is. Zoom in to the tree in the back near is last hump out of the water. You’ll see an entity smiling or showing his teeth with eyes nose mouth. This isn’t pareidolia. You can even see the pupils in his eyes. It’s not a different color. It doesn’t stand out. You have to zoom in on this timestamp. It’s on the tree so I would say the being could possibly be in front of the tree behind the alligator

The place is so dense it's like one minute you're driving through scattered pine trees on both sides of the interstate and the next you got swamps all around you. And then the surrounding open up and you in Slidell.... creepy.... you don't want to have a flat by yourself going through there.

This is wild. My dad grew up in Franklinton, LA and I spent weeks there every summer during childhood. My grandmother who grew up in Bogalusa always told me to look out for “boogers” whenever we’d go out in the woods or to the river. I just assumed she meant bad people until literally in the last 5 years when I learned that folks in that part of the country called Sasquatch, wood boogers. Never thought I’d see Franklinton, LA in a BTT episode. Shocked TBH but very cool. Anyone planning a visit should go in October when the Washington Parish Free Fair is going on. Weather will also be nicer for going Squatchin’. Great episode! Nice work as always.

Also, my grandmother lived to be 99 (less than 3 months from 100). She was born in 1916, so the stories of Boogers or Wood Boogers in the area go back at least 100 years.

Great job of doing the historical background on Louisiana and the swamps! You’re doing a great job, Brother!
I cannot believe that a few years back, I’d messaged you and was being super critical of your voice. What’s so awesome about you, you didn’t take my criticism negatively and you’ve only excelled beyond that. It says so much about you as a person and a serious researcher. I really feel that you’ve pinnacled above other Sasquatch investigative groups. I feel you’ve even excelled over several that are on tv.
There’s a rise in sightings in the southeast area of Colorado. There’s a really good researcher close to where I live and he’s documenting as many encounters as possible. But, we also have a guy here that is, in my opinion, an idiot. Seeing things that aren’t verifiable, thinking he can speak to the beings by whistling, showing legitimate traveling corridors through brush and lower covering plants, ( yes, they’re legitimate but not for a large bipedal creature but actually predators like bears and mountain lions ). He’s showing these and he’s giving people a false knowledge of the predators which, I feel, is going to get someone seriously injured or even worse.
I think what he’s doing is comical in many ways but giving false facts are eventually going to be very harmful. He’s the kind of person that gives legitimate researchers, like yourself, a bad name and actually delegitimize the facts showing a real creature.
    Keep up your great work!

In 1996 my wife and I along with about 12 other people went on a camping and canoeing trip on the Bogue Chitta river inear Mt Hermon , Louisiana which is near the Mississippi , Louisiana Border , our tents were about 30 yards away from the river bank and at bout 11:00 o clock that night my best friend and two other men in our group were sitting at the camp fire drinking a few beers and we heard something huge running across the river and as I looked in the direction of the the noise I could see a dark silhouette running up the river bank across from where we were camped , I remember looking at the guys and saying that wasn’t a man ! We were totally shocked at the speed of this thing as it ran up the river bank into the woods. The campground we stayed at was called “ Canoe and trail outpost “ it’s really in a remote area and is a beautiful place to canoe and camp , all I can say is that many other people have experienced sightings in that same area . I truly believe we saw a Sasquatch that night and that memory is etched in my mind.

I live in North Louisiana and we have known for years that there are many hot spots in the state to get Bigfoot activities 1st the North West corner of the state thin mid North of Louisiana has always had significant sighting and Honey Island and Mississippi also, Atchafalaya River Basin also the Calfax area in mid state. If you want Bigfoot action in Louisiana you don't have to go far to get it.

  • @AndreasScout
    @AndreasScout ปีที่แล้ว +1

This is how i approach these things:
    1) people see something that isn't normal. You then have different catagories of those people, which you can figure out yourselves
    2) you ALWAYS have people who want to hoax things. I met a guy in appalachia that actually tried to hoax bigfoot tracks but when out there in the middle of the night he got confronted and since then he point blank refuses to even go into forests ( despite being hunting since his 7th birthday.. geezer is 65 now and that event happened when he was 22.). I do not know why people want to hoax things.
    3) people that want to scare their friends. It is possible that some tracks ( especially with the shoe thing) are faked but that doesn't necessarily mean that the ones hoaxing it is the guy that found them. It could well be one of their friends trying to scare the living daylights out of the guy camping.
    4) some people have had a real encounter and then think that no one believes them unless they bring some evidence of said encounter. so they fabricate something. this is what i call faction. Part fact ( the encounter) rest fiction ( like some of the tracks actually are).
Thing is, just because you find a shoe with that print doesn't mean its recent. It should have been decently checked out to say one way or another. In the animal world a lot of animals have scars or even crooked limbs ( from fights). If we put that to the "bigfoot" creature its possible that some of them, because they are reckless or had a bear encounter/ other cryptid encounter they may have damage ( maybe on their foot) especially bayou country when it comes to aligators ... snap and roll though i believe that aligators probably stay away from bigfeet.
Great video have found your documentaries on Itunes. Bought them all.

I used to live in Picayune and Pass Christian Mississippi and still spend a lot of time down there. We hunt the Honey Island Swamp and the Pearl River wildlife management area. There is definitely something in those swamps, strange whistles and hoots. Feelings of being watched, we had our dogs refuse to run. These dogs track and capture wild hogs they are fearless but yet have refused to unload from the truck. We've been shadowed while hunting, we could hear footsteps in step with us and stop when we stopped. There is no doubt there is something big, ancient, strong, and smart in that primitive wetland. Plenty of room to hide and thrive. 🐒🙉🙈🙊🐒

I love how STM does their work. Alex and Eli are also so analytical and honestly there for the Sasquatch. I mean if you truly think about it. They really are trying to bring light to them. In a positive direction and I would say getting them protected. We all have a purpose everyone of us. That purpose is sometimes not defined until later on in life. And all those forks and tragedies lead us in a direction that at that point in time we just didn’t understand. I really feel this is their purpose. They need to be protected. I don’t think it will happen in my lifetime, yet maybe my children’s. Sasquatch is truly amazing they really are!

I've always thought that power line rights-of-way could be used for traveling on foot but I never thought that a Bigfoot would use one. Also the Pearl River alluvial plain provides a virtually uninterrupted stretch of forest from the Gulf to NE Mississippi where you could easily switch to a similar plain of a different waterway and head into Alabama. These manmade and natural corridors could be used to migrate over hundreds of miles while going largely unnoticed.
