I don't know if this will make sense, but your family seems really different. I know everything isn't shown on video, but your kids pretty calm, focused, thoughtful, and ambitious. Also, a lot of other families with adopted kids seems more like blended families where everyone loves each other, but your family seems like they just ARE siblings. Like there's no "my brother" or "your sister" (talking about blood siblings only) that I see a lot in adopted families. Is there anything you did special to help your kids grow into the amazing people they are today, or did they just turn out this way because you guys are who you are?
I honestly think some of that might be because they homeschool, and more specifically, unschool. But also, they traveled together for more like 2 years, only a little while after bringing Daniel, Jude, and Eve home, and I think that really bonded them all together very quickly. They are such a wonderful family, I agree!
I am surprised by this message. I may just be naive but I don't know any fellow adoptive family that I feel act differently or favor "blood siblings" over another sibling. That should certainly always be the case, because they ARE REAL brothers and sisters. ❤️🤗🥰
@@all4loveand_love4all I have 4 half sisters and grew uo with one. We have the same dad but my other 2 sisters we have the same dad and different moms. As a half sibling it always comes up. Its not a bad thing its just the fact of the matter. I think it depends really on the family if its an issue. My family is very chill & doesnt take offense easily to anything.
I loved this „day in the life of“ a lot. Family skills: Beautiful corn rows, Esther. Pearl looks great. Megan finding and fixing pieces. Cooking and dining. Boys taking a bike ride. Daniel is a sweet big brother. The D&D gang meets. Eve‘s cards. Jude‘s vlogging efforts ... and much more. Loved it.
Wow I love that blue piece! Just my personal preference, I feel like the plain wood legs detract from it. If I got it I'd probably paint the legs either the same color or coordinate with the background image.
My husband came home from work without enough time before bed for a full TV show. So he said "what's our favorite family of 11 up to" expecting me to pull up a new video. But instead I gave him a full recap of the last few videos, ear cleaning included, without skipping a beat. He was shocked and said "wow, that was thorough!" haha Thanks for keeping a mom of 3.5 sane.

My husband's side of the family has generations of woodworking experience. My father-in-law built furniture for a living. There is something so satisfying about dreaming up some furniture idea and bringing it to life. Watching them do the planning and starting with a stack of wood and then ending up with some amazing looking piece is very interesting. My husband has also started teaching our 6 year old little things here and there. I think one of the pieces they were most proud of was the display case for the star trek enterprise display in the Smithsonian museum gift shop (I believe it has been changed out recently though).
Hope you get on Food Network. You have been such a delight to watch in my hectic NYC life that I know everyone would love to see a beautiful, loving, wholesome family.

I only have a very small area and a few tools that consist of a drill, skil saw and chop saw. I build items that come to my head with just those tools and it has taken me years to get those. Don't think it has to be a lot of tools and alot of money to get started with.

Our province (Nova Scotia, Canada) shut down all market place sales. It's spreading too fast here and not enough people following the quarantine rules. A lot of people just don't care, it's a sad situation, because those are the people that will cause this to last longer. I'm not a very social person, but I have a teenager that misses her normal life.
Not sure I would put a picture of braided hair as the cover photo of a video titled, “We’re getting weird”. Often black hair styles are considered weird and sometimes even policed. As a family we love watching but my kiddos all rock these “weird”styles and would likely be hurt a bit by the word choice. Just something to think about.

Just this year a few states put black hair styles into anti discrimination laws because of countless cases of children being harassed at school by the school, athletes being forced to cut off locs and many other ways in which their styles are considered undesirable. Of course they can choose not to change the title but the channel being one that many families enjoy, I hope they do.

It's a heartbreaking story since his wife couldn't even go with him to the hospital, but he was very proud of his woodworking channel and until two weeks ago hadn't missed a video in two years.

Having only 2 kids myself, (one boy and one girl) I remember when we became a 2 package pork chop family and up the pizzas to two because my growing son was eating us into bankruptcy. I noticed a few videos back that one of your boys walked in the garage and asked if it was okay to eat (I think it was a cookie). And in this video, Daniel asked how many scoops of ice cream he was allowed. Seeing the amount of meat that was being cooked tonight, it looked to me that between my husband and son, that amount of taco meat would be gone before I hit the buffet! Do you limit their food intake? I had to with my son or he would eat a whole pie before I poured the drinks!!!
Nazneen Raimalwala that is really an unfair thing to say. I never said or implied that. Having boys can eat you out of house and home and being home 24/7 finds everyone opening the fridge 20 times a day. So naturally, it would not surprise me if a parent had to pull back on the reigns of eating.

Some parents just let their kids eat whatever they want anyway, which is one reason why the US has such a high obesity rate. And some parents can't afford to let their kids eat whatever they want, and even if they can they want to make sure the kids eat healthy. I think she was asking where do the Knorpp's fall on that scale.
