Love the channel somehow when looking at top tier knives i always find my way to u without even trying thusly i subbed i hope u get more views and subs as your topics are quite unique or provide more insight in a niche topic and are well done.
I designed my channel to stay small, and whenever I experience growth, I purposely sabotage it so I can remain small. This isn't a business for me, it's a hobby.
I have the Scarab II as well, actually a number of customs and production ones as well. Great knife. I also have three Cleric II's and three Combat Troodons and the Recon-040. I also have the Glykon and Dirac Delta. I also have the Hera II as well and its slightly longer blade than the CT, only by 0.02" but hey... LOL I just ordered the new CT Gen III Interceptor in Natural Clear finish. I really like that finish as it really hides scratches between that finish and the apocalyptic finish on the hardware/blade.
One other "larger" knife is the Maxace Neptune and Maxace Medusa. The Neptune is only about 1/4" shorter than the CT at 9.25" and about 3/4" shorter than the Cleric II. However the Neptune with SLD-Magic steel is only $108 and has great action and is made from 7075 aluminum instead of the 6061 that MT likes.
I didn't have either of those at the time, I wasn't a huge fan of the Manticore though and the traction inlays microtech uses have always annoyed me and the scarb is basically one big inlay.
I have had otf's from most of the companies that make decent ones. Guardian tactical 035 was by far the best overall. Ultratech was my least favorite. To be fair I did have the double edged one. IMHO guardian tactical has the best dagger style blades. They do a hollow grind that makes it cut like crazy. The Benchmade autocrat was surprisingly good, they made the blade really thin and also did a chisel edge. Don't know if it's called something different when it's just the cutting edge.

The microtech Scarab 2 is larger than the combat troodon. Love mine we have the same large hands!
I did not know that, well now I need to get one and have someone put brass inlays to replace the grip tape. 😁
