      @@gfbs7004 I disagree. I think 6 seaons was nearly perfect. It would be great if this show could go on for another five seasons, but they'd need another plot. Because if they kept dragging red john for any more than they did, that would be really getting old.

      I disagree with all of you.
      This show needed as many seasons as could be made.
      10 seasons? Why not, bring it on. It was enjoyable all throughout (RJ reveal was lame), and especially at the end when he starts working in FBI with Lisbon and Cho was really enjoyable to me. I wanted more of that premise.
      I missed Rigsby and Van Pelt but respected their retreat into civilian life.

The only thing he might notice is the pulse in my neck... beyond that he wouldn't be able to read me. I wouldn't be giving him any facial expressions. As a matter of fact, if it were real life, it would be kind of stupid for Jane say to say "show and tell" before asking the questions, instead of just asking them. That was just for the audiences sake.

    • @aptaylor75
      @aptaylor75 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@1091Floyd21 actually it might not be that stupid. It helps to pressure a person if they know they are being pressured. It makes them even more self-conscious. Poker players use this technique a lot when they are tanking on an important decision and staring at and verbally bating their opponent for any indication that could inform their decision. The most unbelievable thing in this scene is that the guy's hands are free, yet he does not cover his face or tilt his head back and stare at the ceiling. I would have.

Now Jane has what a NO looks like for this guy. The next follows with some YES questions and Jane then gets what he needs in terms of what a yes looks like. What you say is true...there is no universal look left/look right tell that applies to ALL people across the board, but there are visual cues each person reveals for true versus false type questions. And it's the either or questions that reveal the non-verbal cues such as you've never cheated on your GF/spouse. You've like beating suspects. You've planted evidence on suspects. You've stolen drugs from a crime scene. Boom...the answers true versus false are written all over the person's face.

      Jane asked these questions because they were irrelevant to the truth that Jane was really after. I presume they were asked to establish a baseline for the suspect, in order to see how he normally reacted when asked personal or uncomfortable questions. As you said, it was to establish what he looked like when he lied vs when he told the truth. After the first questions, Jane could examine the cop's micro expressions more efficiently.

      Yes, yes this is acting. Good as well, because it's somewhat realistic, although the cop could have been a little better
      This is coming from someone who analyses this sort of thing
