Great job guys! This episode made me realize how super glad I am that Paul Bettany is getting to really shine as Vision. As he learns more and more about what Wanda is doing and also about the truth(?) of his existence, Bettany seems to be building towards a very emotional climax to this story that I am excited and also very worried to see! Whatever happens, I am in and I look forward to your next reaction! Cheers! ♥
This episode was inspired by Malcom In The Middle. It’s fantastic and if you love Bryan Cranston from Breaking Bad, he’s in it playing a VERY different character
Not gonna lie, I was baffled when I heard that he was going to be in BB as the MC. I was so used to his silly antics in MITM, that I just had a hard time seeing him in such a different role, but he proved me wrong.
Several possibilities. Perhaps she is a bit more than the background NPC in Wanda's show, or perhaps her will is strong enough to act a bit out of what is expected of her... While she was seeking Town Square, she drove out of the city and not inward. My theory is that, because of who she is ( A.H ), and if she is what she can do, she probably can resist a bit against Wanda's mind control.
I'm calling it: "Pietro" is Ralph...who is either Mephisto, Nightmare, or Grim Reaper. The fact that he seemed really "interested" in finding out HOW? she "did it" (meaning, crafted this version of Westview, NJ), proves it. He wants her reality shaping powers. I didn't pick up on it until now: Ellis Avenue...like Ellis Island -- Freedom from The Hex.
Those demons already have vast powers and should know how she did it. TH-cam has called everyone and everything Mephisto. I’m waiting for the last episode with no Mephisto.
What a spectacular series, it's getting more and more intense...I can get enough! It's always fun to see your reactions & thoughts, thank u guys! 🤩 Kat, I love your red cosy shimmer 💚
This episode was basically a mashup of 95 to 2005. The clothes, cars, camera work etc. Breaking the 4th was started in the 90s, that type of intro was 90s. Think Malcolm in the Middle, Adventures of Pete & Pete, Eerie Indiana etc
Wanda gets angry with Pietro, and hits him, because he tells him that Vision "cannot die twice", he says it in front of the children, it is also to delve deep into Wanda's wound, since she saw Vision die twice , one by herself, to prevent the disappearance of half of the living beings, and another at the hands of Thanos.
i think she tapped into the mindstone to revive vision as you mentioned...but hayword and some of sword put some sort of virus inside him...thats why she cant remember how it all startet
Oh my god, you guys are Danish!? My heart stopped when you mentioned fastelavn 🤣 Moved to Denmark from Scotland a year and a half ago and still get excited with this stuff lol Awesome reaction too!😁
This series... seriously, its probably the best written and best designed thing Marvel has done. All the little things - like the lyrics to each of the opening songs being SO on point while at the same time mimicking the themes of the era its representative of. Moreover, its basically a troll parade with the writers trolling the crap out of the hardcore fans on so many levels... Jimmy's White Board questions, "What happened to your accent?", "Unleash hell, demonspawn!" ...just freakin' brilliant.
The aerospace engineer is probably Reed Richards That is why the director said Sword doesn't go into space anymore and half his astronauts have loss their nerve
You're guessing Reed Richards but what if its Doctor Doom? Also a sorcerer with ties to so many Dark characters in the Marvel Universe. What if Nightmare, or Dormamoo, or Mephisto are feeding off her powers and the lost souls she's generating feed them and the nightmare scenarios of Dead Vision or Dead Pietro Keep her victim to their dark designs.
the commercial I think represents some of the people in town. some are stuck and can't move just like the kid on the island, and eventually if they dont eat they'll die too.. at 6:21 he says on why he looks different is because "I wouldn't want to be reminded of the past either" meaning he's the MCU quicksilver but she didn't want to see Aaron taylor Johnson's face. Which makes me think evan peters was already in the bubble and wanda "recasted" him like they've been saying in the show
Ep 1-3, 5 (1950s-1980s): Standard three-point, multi-cam sitcom setup. Ex: I Love Lucy (pioneered higher production values for tv by shooting on film and elevating cinematographic approach), Donna Reed, Leave it to Beaver, Dick van Dyke, Bewitched, Growing Pains, etc. Ep 6 (2000s): Single camera set up influenced by Brechtian theatre of the 1930s & 40s and French New Wave cinema of the 50s & 60s. Elements include: jump cuts, cutaway gags, non-diegetic sound, voiceovers, breaking the fourth wall. Ex: Malcolm in the Middle (which pioneered the shift away in tv from multi-cam). E7 (2010s): Mockumentary sitcom format. Ex: Modern Family most specifically, but also used by The Office, Parks and Rec, etc.
Oh for a second there I thought you were saying Kat's face was all red from the drinking lol. I was thinking whoa, that is quite a facial capillary reaction from the alcohol lol.
Absolutely. The fact that she acted differently from before and after he touched her, plus her not actually being frozen even though she's the furthest out. I'm thinking she's just a henchman though. The black guy is the real bad guy.
Agnes could have been faking it in the car. She was basically at the border of the Hex but was still able to speak and move a little. People Vision saw blocks further into the Hex weren't moving or talking at all. Also notice how Pietro made a lot of demon references in this episode. His hair was styled like horns. He said something about Westview, New Jersey being a hell of a place. And he called the twins demon spawn. He also smashed the Jack O Lanterns, which are supposed to keep bad spirits away.
It blows my mind that no one is talking about how Peter(Pietro) brought up Shangri La, it is a fictional forbidden land in the Marvel comics in the Himalayan mountains and I believe is typically in Iron Fist storylines(?!?!) idk I just think it’s weird that he said that.
Well I have noticed that too. And it is a place where you can find the secrets of life and death. Life and death, two themes of this show.
3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
I think there is a Shangri-La in Marvel (and other myths) but for Iron Fist, aren’t you thinking of K’un-Lun? That’s where the Iron Fist trained and got his powers in the tv series at least.
It exists in the comics, but it’s not a significant place. K’un Lun is the Eastern mythical city that is of great importance in Marvel that you’re thinking of which Iron Fist is closely linked to.
I agree Sonny, the episodes are too short. I guess the whole idea is to keep us wanting more and tuning in the next week. Hopefully you discuss the commercial on Katchup because I have no idea what it meant.
I think the reason she wasn't able to resurrect her brother is because she didn't have his body. What we might be seeing is Mephisto either imitating her brother or a possessed quick silver from the fox universe. He showed up right after the barrier to the hex was breached. I also think that it wasn't a coincidence that Agnes was near Ellis Ave. When the twins brought up that Wanda could bring back the dead Agnes seemed curious about it. She might have wanted to see what would happen if vision crossed the barrier so she egged him on.
I originally thought the large black man, appearing as Frankenstein, was Monica's contact within the hexagon. Now I'm thinking it is Pietro. He got in undetected. Something about him, or who he is allows him to work around Wanda, undetected. I just don't know how or why.
@@ModernRudeBoy for someone trying to claim someone else is ignorant, you’re doing an excellent job of sounding ignorant yourself. And for Gen X you should certainly be able to reply more maturely than you did. Now, grated the generation timeline isn’t exact because no one can agree on the exact years, but the first millennials were born around 1981 and the first Gen Z were born around 1995. Millennials grew up on shows like Full House, Family Ties and Growing Pains (aired between 1981-1995) which episode 5 is based on. Gen Z enjoyed shows like Malcom in the Middle (aired 2000-2006) which this latest episode is based on. That’s fact, not opinion. So unless those generations had very strict parents who didn’t allow them to watch tv until they were 10, this exactly what those generations are familiar with. Additionally, these shows didn’t disappear when they stopped airing new episodes. I’m considered a Millennial and still grew up watching The Brady Bunch even though the last new episode aired in 1974 (ten years before I was born). These popular and iconic shows aired in reruns for a very long time. Some still do on certain networks. The Brady Bunch even had a bunch of specials and movies that kept coming out into the 2000’s. So all 3 of those generations would be familiar with that show. This episode while initially formatted after Malcom in the Middle, sort of lost that format after the first transition to the Sword base. It was still in 90’s/2000’s fashion, but no longer narrated by Billy whereas Malcom in the Middle did it the entire episode.
I'm wondering if Monica's need to help Wanda is a direct result of her being changed by The Hex. People in The Hex are changed so they act in ways that make Wanda happy it is possible that Monica is still acting on that desire unconsciously.
The mind stone created scarlet witch and quicksilver, and was also a major part in creating vision. Pietro seems fully aware of the situation and Vision is becoming aware, could it be that the Mind Stones powers are weaker against things it created? like trying to push 2 magnets together.
Kat is looking extra beautiful and adorable and lovable and sonny is the bestest badass ever and I honestly think that mephisto has a hand in this series since its connected to dr strange part 2
Agnes' license plate is DA12BC - that's the color code for Hex. It's pink, which is the color of her outfit and powers in comics. Also notice how she still knows what's going on after vision puts her in trance again when she drives away when norm had no clue. She is dressed like and laugh like a witch, Kind of showing that she could be Agatha Harkness who is a witch Evan Peters is not quick silver. He's dead, which is why they showed his dead body like vision. Vision can't exist outside barrier since he's dead as we saw. This means the breach alarm that showed up as quick silver was at door wasn't bc he super speeded in and set off alarm, its because it's someone else disguised as him. Also he knows vision is dead even though quick silver died before him, meaning he's someone else. Wanda knows this which is why she shot him Into display bc she'd never hurt her brother like that. Also explains why he asked her how she did that, because whoever it is whether it be nightmare or mephisto, wants to learn how to do that to control everybody else themselves. Also if you noticed they skipped the 1990s as this episode was the 2 thousands. The intro was from Malcolm in the middle and the movie theatre was playing The Incredibles which was not released until 2004 . Also the fact that it was playing the parent trap when all the parents were trapped in Westview was pretty funny Hayward is tracking Vision, he works for SWORD, aka sentient weapons, which is why they had his body ripped apart. They are researching him to make weapons. He wants him back. That's what project cataract is, cataract =vision
It's possible Agnes isn't in on the whole thing, but notice that Vision tried to talk to one of the other "frozen" people and got no response. Meanwhile, Agnes was even closer to the boundary, but she was able to speak ("Town Square Scare: where is it? Took a wrong turn... got lost..."). So it's also possible she was just acting so Vision wouldn't be suspicious.
It's possible. Although only Agnes and Herb seem to have a strong awareness of Wanda doing resets, even though they both still appear to be influenced by the mind control powers.
I think Darcy Lewis can be our MCU Invisible Woman. Cause when she was soaked by the Hexagon, her body turned invisible. Who knows...Would be a new origin story for Invisible Woman. (From the Fantastic Four)
Awesome reaction! I love your channel! The into is from the the series : MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE Very popular where the title character talks to the audience - like Billy did in this episode The commercial - Clay animation : what was big in the 90s was the Levi's double stitch commercial. So is the LUNCHABLES - frozen food/quick packed lunch meal. This solidifies my firm belief of how the comicbook Wanda is showing in MCU Wanda. She was always an Omega level Mutant. In the MCU - only 3 are super powerful because of infinity stones : Carol Danvers from the Tesseract, Wanda from the Mind Stone but exhibiting Aether powers, & Doctor Strange with the Eye of Agamoto. She was always a scary, strong, & slightly off kilter when it came to her family. THANK YOU!
Maybe you are one to something: What if people who where not in the "epicenter" of the creation of the Hex but joined later from outside (Monica, presumably Agnes) have a bit more agency? I am so trilled to see how much agency Darcy will have...
I noticed one thing this QuickSilver ran around with the twins are superspeed. But they never had Whiplash. They never seem to suffer due to the speed while if Fox's version People felt sick after he ran with them at super speed.

Wandavision is getting so dang good, the Kick-Ass pun so funny. Sonny's hair seems to grow pretty fast.
Cheers! ♥
So, Stephen Strange is the only one who can handle Wanda Maximoff now.
Or one arrow to the head. Get a grip.
@@Gnossiene369 it wouldn't work, trust me
Read the comics
Well maybe, who i am to judge..
@@Gnossiene369 lol nope. You should read House of M😅😂
or Mordo who is against the mass use of magic?
Wanda said "Kick ass.." Thoughtfully after the kids say it. That's a nod to the actor who played the Marvel Quicksilver because he played Kick Ass.
Actually both Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Evan Peters were in Kick-Ass, so it's a nod to both.
@@Kai-fb1ol Yes, but this is the MCU where pop culture largely still exists, meaning she very well could have literally seen the movie.
9:15 I think she is in on it and that scene proves it. How was she still able to talk while supposedly in a "trance" when no one else could.
This show is getting better and crazy every episode! I Hope Wanda and Vision don't lose their kids.
Glad to know Kat wasn’t injured. That’s really red makeup.
I didn't pick up on it until now: Ellis Avenue...like Ellis Island -- Freedom from The Hex.
i agree that "wanda's brother" isn't really wanda's brother, not in this universe or any other.
Notice when Pietro shouts out ‘unleash hell demon spawn’ to Wandas Kids?
Ellis = Llies
Those demons already have vast powers and should know how she did it. TH-cam has called everyone and everything Mephisto. I’m waiting for the last episode with no Mephisto.
Kat's makeup looks great!
Kat is the coolest
i like the idea that agnes is the person jimmy woo was looking for.
Except Woo specifically referred to the witness as “He” when talking with Monica.
I love love 💗 💕 Kats makeup 🌷 please do more makeup with this type of style again
Will do 😘
Kat looks straight gorgeous wow.
❤️❤️
Always love your makeup, the opening is similar to Malcom in the Middle
What a spectacular series, it's getting more and more intense...I can get enough!
It's always fun to see your reactions & thoughts, thank u guys! 🤩 Kat, I love your red cosy shimmer 💚
❤️
Kat's makeup on point as usual! Love it!
i think she tapped into the mindstone to revive vision as you mentioned...but hayword and some of sword put some sort of virus inside him...thats why she cant remember how it all startet
Oh my god, you guys are Danish!? My heart stopped when you mentioned fastelavn 🤣
Moved to Denmark from Scotland a year and a half ago and still get excited with this stuff lol
Awesome reaction too!😁
Aww, thank you! Great ear/knowledge.
I hope you find Denmark to be all right and not too mean/aloof ♥️
I don't usually simp for people but I gatta say, cat's different makeups are always beautiful
MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE EPISODE...LOL
This series... seriously, its probably the best written and best designed thing Marvel has done. All the little things - like the lyrics to each of the opening songs being SO on point while at the same time mimicking the themes of the era its representative of. Moreover, its basically a troll parade with the writers trolling the crap out of the hardcore fans on so many levels... Jimmy's White Board questions, "What happened to your accent?", "Unleash hell, demonspawn!" ...just freakin' brilliant.
Cheers to the both of you. Hope you have a nice V-day!
Kat's makeup game is on clutch lol LOVE IT girl !!!!
Cheers you guys you 2 are lovely!
There were flat screens in the 90s, at least here in the US anyway. I had one in high school and I graduated in '98.
The aerospace engineer is probably Reed Richards That is why the director said Sword doesn't go into space anymore and half his astronauts have loss their nerve
Only Kat can pull off a look like that. Love it!
"How much is she expanding it?"
"That's what SHE said."
I will need to binge watch this again when it's over.
also love the makeup!
Agnes was SOOO FAKING!
Another great reaction & review, Kat & Sonny. Enjoy your bubbly beverages.
That intro was the first one where I really got the reference. It's definately 90's: "Malcolm in the middle"
Don’t apologize for not catching things I think you guys are doing fantastic! Great reaction you 2 🥰
❤️
It blows my mind that no one is talking about how Peter(Pietro) brought up Shangri La, it is a fictional forbidden land in the Marvel comics in the Himalayan mountains and I believe is typically in Iron Fist storylines(?!?!) idk I just think it’s weird that he said that.
Well I have noticed that too. And it is a place where you can find the secrets of life and death. Life and death, two themes of this show.
KAT LOOKS AMAZING!
Ok i just started watching but i have to comment this: I love the makup, the nose blush is just
Eeek 🙈♥️
I agree Sonny, the episodes are too short. I guess the whole idea is to keep us wanting more and tuning in the next week. Hopefully you discuss the commercial on Katchup because I have no idea what it meant.
😂😅Wanda's energy made Darcy say fudge instead of f-+(%😅😂.
You both have a nice tone setting for watching this series reaction👍
KAT....IS....A....GODDESS!!!!!
CHEERS YALL!!!!
You two are fun - thank you
I just wanted to say that I always look forward to Kat's make-up!!! I LOVE IT!
❤️
Can we talk about her makeup!? It’s gorgeous! ❤️❤️
I am in the Hank (Beast from X-Men) as Monica's contact and Aerospace Engineer.
Great stuff you two!!!! 🤗❤✌
Malcolm in the Middle intro
@@ModernRudeBoy I don’t understand what you mean. Everything from the 80’s and beyond is what millennials and Gen Z grew up on.
Kat looking fabulous!
loveeeeee your reactions...and love this show!!! i hope everyone knows quicksilver is def a demon...now which demon is the question!
She is dressed like and laugh like a witch, Kind of showing that she could be Agatha Harkness who is a witch
Evan Peters is not quick silver.
Also the fact that it was playing the parent trap when all the parents were trapped in Westview was pretty funny
Hayward is tracking Vision, he works for SWORD, aka sentient weapons, which is why they had his body ripped apart.
Love you guys and Kat your makeup game is on point 👌 Meget smuk!
Kat's makeup is giving Harley Quinn! luv it!
At least the scurrying agents weren't transformed into Jack in the Box. Best. Leo.
Awesome reaction! I love your channel!
The into is from the the series : MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE
Very popular where the title character talks to the audience - like Billy did in this episode
The commercial - Clay animation : what was big in the 90s was the Levi's double stitch commercial.
THANK YOU!
Oh no Kat has tried to enter the reality field! lol
that lady is an artist, I love it ,❤️♥️❤️♥️
Malcom in the Middle is the reference in the intro
Maybe you are one to something: What if people who where not in the "epicenter" of the creation of the Hex but joined later from outside (Monica, presumably Agnes) have a bit more agency? I am so trilled to see how much agency Darcy will have...
I noticed one thing this QuickSilver ran around with the twins are superspeed. But they never had Whiplash. They never seem to suffer due to the speed while if Fox's version People felt sick after he ran with them at super speed.
