Oh my god, you posted this literally a day after I finished SMT I! Perfect timing. This video is really well made, my favorite part of SMT I was definitely the world, and the NPCs are definitely a big part of it.

Honestly, the npcs are what give SMT the charm it's known for. Sure, not everything say will make sense if you really stop to think about it, but it does still immerse you in the world of SMT. It made the grind to the next story beat worth it. Also, the combat is really easy to exploit, given guns have an ATK stat independent of any character, and have status inflicting ammo that can keep demons from taking turns lol Sure, the encounter rate can get annoying, but auto battle with status inflicting guns makes the game almost effortless.
Be it 15 seconds or an hour and 20 min, Mike consistently produces top content. A long journey to reach the release of this video, and all worth it. Never stop Mike

I would have recommend just playing the game normally. It’s the easier game in the franchise not to mention. Zio and guns are super op, it doesn’t matter if you have max stats. Just using guns you can stream roll through the game

If I remember correctly, in order to make Jack Frost appear and say his signature dialogue, you have to take the game cart and shoot it with a silenced pistol. JUST KIDDING, HAPPY HALLOWEEN.

One of the things I disliked about SMT V was the lack of NPCs & dialog. There were small sections of V where you could talk to them and school NPCs, but they were so lacking. But just a few games ago, SMT 4 and SMT 4 Apocalypse had tons of NPCs with amazing dialog. With SMT 4, you could find out that time passes by slower in Tokyo than Mikado very early on, there's a few NPCs who commented on how long Samurai K lived and you as a new samurai know that he is one of the few characters to go to Tokyo. I seriously miss all the lore details the NPCs would give! Nocturne had really great NPC dialog too, even though everyone is just spirits or demons, they give both lore and gameplay hints! Oh, the spinoffs like Devil Summoner and Soul Hackers have great NPCs too. Devil Summoner has the most amazing NPCs because you start off as a normal student, and all NPCs are like "whatever man we're closed," then as part of the plot your spirit gets absorbed into a gangster and all NPCs take you seriously and show you secret shops!
Never heard of this game outside of this video, but this was still a treat to watch! I have a feeling that watching this video is probably the ideal way to experience the game. 😋.
I'll come up with a name for it later 😅 I'm working on releasing these songs together as an album - for now I'm just calling them by the city name (Kichijoji)
