- The Ultimate Persona Compendium is a comprehensive video series analysing the Persona games, from beginning to end. This is a compilation of parts 1-4 of my Persona 3 UPC analysis videos released throughout 2023 with some new content sprinkled in. It is one of the most complete and comprehensive overviews of the original Persona 3 and its many different iterations. We start by going deep into the game's story and symbolism, before moving on to the social links, and then the new content added in FES and Portable (such as The Answer and the female MC / Kotone Shiomi route). The only thing missing here is Persona 3 Reload, but as I said, this covers only the original version of Persona 3 and its ports / remasters (vanilla, FES, Portable and the 2023 version of Portable).

Game juenalyst have to play the game for a week max, write a page long article and move on to new game, they dont have time to get in to the game story or mechanics

I literally clapped at the "I corrected it" joke about how P1's remade soundtrack was not a good match for the original's atmosphere.
Also I am of the side that P3's "only one persona" for everyone else aspect to be a thematic problem with modern persona that clouds the fundamental understanding of what personas mean as a psychological concept for the namesake. I prefer the earlier conception where people have good and bad matches with different arcana due to their core personalities. I don't think Hashino's answer really works, because that honestly doesn't really feel like it works without having to read his explanation in outside material.
I think Hashino's answer does work, because Persona 3 is so insistently and so overwhelmingly a point-of-view game. In this game more than any other, you ARE the hero, reflected also in the fact that you don't control the other party members. P4 and P5 also have silent protags that you can name, but P3 is the only game where that is inherently a part of the underlying artistic vision.

I know you mentioned Reload in the description, but do you plan on ever covering Reload in the future when done with the whole retrospective of the series? (Even if a short 10 or so min video going over the changes and your opinions on it)

Yo i just had a revelation that aigis is supposed to represent the player more than the self insert mc, she goes through the journey of discovering this world, learning to live and learning to let go while not necessarily rejecting what happened, she essentially is you learning what the game is trying to say and learning to let go of the game with the answer
