Hi, good question! You could choose "Wood" but try to higher up the power and depth of the default settings or another better choice try the recommend settings but with multiply passes, which'll achieve cleaner effects.
Yes, it is possible. You can transfer G-code pictures and then open the Gcode mode(it's in the setting on the right corner) , when you preview you can press Gcode, then you can see it's previewing the object shape but not the square.

Is it possible to have it preview not just the outer box of the work space but the actual path it's taking. Providing image preview?

Cut settings I used on wood not quite 3mm thick. Power 100 D 10 passes 30.
Can this cut acrylic sheet too? If so, how thick and how do I operate?
Hi yes, but colored acrylic < 5mm would be better. You could use this setting in our APP: power 100% depth 50% passes: 6-7
