@Midlife Motorcycle Diaries I live in Northern Ireland and have done most of what you covered a few times. It's a beautiful part of the world and has some great biking roads. I look forward to seeing you come back and finish it. Hopefully to include Inishowen, The Causeway Coast, and the Antrim Coast. My sister has just turned fifty, passed her bike test and bought a Tiger 900 GT PRO as her first bike. Hopefully we'll be on the west coast when the weather picks up again. Happy New Year to you both.
@@xlr8drivingni253 We’re really looking forward to spending time back in Ireland next year as we do the northern half of the WAW. Your sister chose a great bike 🐯- not that I’m biased at all😉. I love my Tiger more every time I ride it! Thanks for watching our adventures and Happy 2023 🙂👍
Hi, sad that your visit to Ireland has come to an end. It's been great all the way sharing your experience, the roads, scenery and your presentation was a pleasure to watch all the way. Thank you! It was sad to finish and we really can’t wait to go back - Sue would look good on a BMW but could never tempt her away from her beloved Tiger! 😂😀👍
Really enjoyed watching all of the videos from your Irish trip 😀 as an Irish Man living in the UK it really brings back a lot of memories and made me realise that I need to plan some trips back over the next few years 🤔🏍🍺🍺👍Thanks again and looking forward to seeing some more videos 😎😎
Thanks for sharing this final video, very soothing and just what I needed after a manic Christmas and new year!! I hope you both enjoyed yours with family
Thank you both for another fantastic series of videos can't wait to see what you both bring us in 2023 so I would like to thank you both again and wish you both happiness and safe riding in 2023
Thank u both I really enjoyed ur chat through this journey fabulous. I'm originally from clonmel co tipp and u brought back great memories love ur music ,Thank u both
Thanks very much Charlie 🙏 glad it brought back some good memories for you - we had such a great time in Ireland - it’s now one of our favourite places to visit! 😀👍
Excellent trip videos. I live in Northern Ireland and am currently planning a one week bike trip to the south west of Ireland in 2023, lots of inspiring sights and tips, thanks. Looking forward to plenty of seafood chowder and Guinness!
Paris-Texas had the one thing desperately missing on most restaurants plates these days...ONIONS!!!!....so glad you enjoyed the trip, you both looks a little exhausted by the end, but obviously worth it.... looking forward to more adventures along the way....
Enjoyed your trip but you must do the northern section, the final section along the Antrim coast is breathtaking. Living in Northumberland I did the whole north west section down to Tralee in 2019 and it never rained once…
I've really enjoyed this trip - definitely one for the to-do list. Already looking forward to your next excursion, wherever that may be. Thank you both.
A great end to one of the best years for motorcycling, the Long hot and dry spring and summer we had seems a distant memory, spring is now just around the corner, so looking forward to more adventures, great video, enjoyed the music too
Another really enjoyable episode. Just confirms our desire to do a similar tour. Not sure we could book your amazing weather. Hope you both have a great 2023
Thanks Richard! The WAW is a must do tour, you’ll love it whatever the weather 😀 🌧️🌞 - we were very lucky but we did expect rain - it just didn’t materialise! Hope you both have a great New Year! 😀👍
Thanks for sharing your Irish experience with us, great to see the bikes cruising along with no grid lock, fewer traffic lights, no miles of unnecessary speed bumps to avoid and 20 mph zones everywhere as here now in South Wales, quite refreshing, thanks again ride safe.
Morning Guy's, what a beautiful way to end your stay in Ireland. Kilkenny looks so fabulous, it's added to the bucket list... As most of your trip is!!! Perfect timing to put out this video when it's currently cold and horrible outside, gives inspiration for 2023. All the best for next year and many more.

@@midlifemotorcyclediaries Back in the late 1960's, before the castle was refurbished as a tourist attraction, some "visionary" businessman tried to get planning permission to build a dog food factory on that expanse of grass in front of the castle courtyard!
Brilliant episodes, enjoyed all of those, thank you. Looking forward to your next series over there, looks gorgeous and a great place to ride. Stay safe, and Happy New Year to you both
Hello. Nice vlog. We like all your vlogs on TH-cam. Feel good tv. Good reviews, nice scenery etc. Like both of your bikes. I own a 2023 Bonneville T100 and a 2024 Ktm 790 Adventure. We would like to go to England also with motorhome and one of my bikes to travel. Thanks for the beautiful vlogs. We enjoy them👌🏼 Eric an Belinda from Holland
I've thoroughly enjoyed this series thank you guys. It's given me the taster I needed to get a trip to Ireland organized. Thank you for all your content this year and wishing you all the very best for 2023.
Thoroughly enjoyed this series, very well presented and inspiring! Accommodation reviews very honest and fair. Happy new year both . Looking forward to further adventures!
Thanks for another great episode. I especially liked the narrow roads with the tunnel-of-trees effect, and the historical sites. I’m sorry to see the series end but hope the new one won’t be too far in the future. Thanks again.
Thank you Marco! Yes we love those narrow , single track roads - sadly, when you leave the WAW and cut across country the landscape isn’t quite as good but nevertheless, we had a great tour! We appreciate your comments and thanks for watching! 😀👍
What a fitting end to another wonderful year with Brian and Sue! Thank you so much for all the hard work this year providing us with cultural highlights, beautiful landscapes from above and below, the good humour and all that to the perfect soundtrack. That said, I wish you a happy and healthy new year and look forward to the coming year. Greetings from Berlin, Jim. Oh, it’s 🍻o’clock! ( time for my medicine!)
Thanks very much Jim! We really appreciate your support for the channel and we’re glad you have enjoyed the tours this year 👍 hope you have a great New Year and go easy on that medicine! 😀👍
Fantastic series! Really enjoyed the sights and sounds you experienced and shared with us from the Wild Atlantic Way! Happy New Year to both of you and wish health and good fortune in 2023!
Places to visit is a personal preference - we loved all the route - but we particularly enjoyed riding the Healy Pass ( not strictly on the WAW) well worth a detour - as far as advice is concerned we would always say don’t rush it! Take your time and enjoy the journey - we aim to get to our destination by 3.00 pm so we can enjoy the location, lots of people ride all day and get up the next day and repeat 🤷♂️ We loved Ireland, - the people are really friendly, the food is excellent and the Guinness exquisite! 😀 👍
Thank you both for a wonderful series. I appreciate the work that has gone into the production and editing. It has been really entertaining and informative. Nice one MMD!
Was there any traffic in Ireland it looks like it was just you two! So mad only just seen this vlog today! I'm usually one of your first comments. Stay safe out there, sending much love for 2023.
Thank you Sue! No we definitely had Ireland to ourselves 😂 - what a great place! Thanks again for supporting the channel this year and hope you have a great 2023! 😀👍
Nice one again you 2. Good memories from when I did IRELAND. I didn't drink as much GUINNESS as you though Brian.😭😭😭10 out of 10 for the effort you both put into your vids. LOOK FORWARD to your next travels, CHARLIE. 👍👍👍You must have had one too many when you both got MUSHY. 🤮🤮🤮Only kidding. TAKE CARE, RIDE SAFE.
Thanks Charlie! As you know Ireland is a fantastic place to tour - especially with the Guinness 😂 - what do you mean “mushy”?? Surely you do that with your misses all the time! 😀👍
This as been a fantastic series of rides and really makes me want to do it, the way you plan it and the video editing is second to none, because of the amount of touring you do could I ask which tyres you have found best
Thanks very much Robert, we’re glad you enjoyed the tour! Not really a tyre expert but when I got my 1200 I had Michelin Anakee’s and didn’t like them - since then I’ve used Metzler Roadtec 01’s and had no problem with them at all! 😀👍
Thank you for the wonderful series of films. We're planning a very similar trip next year and your adventures are inspiring. What time of year did you make the film? - it looked so quiet! My Tiger 800XRT is ready to go. Happy new year to you and safe riding in 2023.
Thanks very much David! Hope you have a great trip 👍 - you’ll love it! We went in mid September - lovely time to go. The Tiger is a great bike to do it on - happy new year! 😀👍
Excellent travel series and now put me in the mood for an Ireland trip! Many thanks! Question - Do you have to supply your own tie down gear for the ferry? I'm used to going to Spain where it's all done for you.
Thank you Don! Glad you enjoyed it and we can really recommend the WAW 👍 all the tie down gear is supplied just like the Spanish ferry, they do it for you so no worries! 😀👍
There once were two cats of Kilkenny, Each thought that was one cat too many, So they scratched and they fit, And they thought and they bit, 'til instead of two cats they weren't any. Anon.
Thanks Steve! We’re glad you enjoyed it 👍 we tend not to do big mileage days anymore - old bones need regular breaks and also we like to take our time, have plenty of stops for coffee and photo, etc! Our routine is usually set off after breakfast 9.30ish and get to our destination by 3.00/4.00pm. So on single track country roads that might not be many miles for example our ride from Portmagee to Dingle was about 80 miles and Kilkee Bay to Galway was about the same. We love the WAW and hope you have a brilliant time! 😀👍
watching with close captioning. Intrigued when you say "interesting dip into Irish history but now we're back on the road to kill Kenny" Poor Kenny, what ever did he do to you? 8:46
Hi guys. Hope you are well and I'm looking forward to seeing your next adventure, when summer eventually gets here. If I may ask your advice, I am planning a France, Spain and Portugal trip in September and note that you use 'Relive' to record your trips. Is the app easy to use? (Phone or laptop) Is there a subscription cost? Data limits? Thank you and safe travels.
Hi Les, Bri looks after most of the tech but I’m ‘in charge’ of Relive so hope the info helps. I have the app on my iPhone as I set it every morning before we set off for the day. It is actually very easy to use, edit, save etc. I had it free for a year - which was actually fine and many people just stay with the free version - but the subscription c£40 per year - allows us to edit more and add more photos etc. I’m not sure about data limits but if you search for relive and relive plus in the App Store, it should tell you. Have a fantastic trip. We can’t wait to get back on tour. Thanks for watching our adventures. Sue ☺️👍🏍️🏍️
@midlifemotorcyclediaries thank you for the info Sue. I like your videos (watched them all) and the Relive format with music and photos look so professional. Ride safe.
Have you Had Guiness o Clock Since you got back Home & Did it Taste the Same? The Landlord in My Local Says Guiness tastes just the same as in Ireland But I am not so sure !
Great series, but the best of the WAW is ahead of Ye......well I have to say that, I'm in the North West of Ireland.......😁😁 I see in the comments someone recommended Adventure Bike Pilot TH-cam channel, His WAW videos are very detailed and definitely worth a look. If You want to see a bit of "hardship" have a look at "RobLittleUK", to celebrate His 70th birthday Rob did a full loop of Ireland anti clockwise from Rosslare Port. He did this on a little Yamaha YB 100 last June, the trip took about three weeks and weather wise Rob got only a few good days. In fact on several days He encountered torrential rain and severe gales, a real test of endurance. All the best for 2023 and safe riding.
Thanks very much! We’re glad you enjoyed it 👍 if the best is yet to come we can’t wait! 👏 we loved it and are really looking forward to coming back for the second half. Just checked out Adventure Bike Pilot - really useful 😀 will definitely have a look at RoblittleUK - thanks for the tip. Thanks for watching and hope you have a great 2023! 😀👍
Great job, as always. I recently discovered an Irish vlogger, Adventure Bike Pilot. He has an extensive series circumnavigating Ireland where he bring us to these obscure and beautiful out of the way places. He might be worth checking out if you’re planning on a return. If you do, please click like for him for he’s not accumulating many. Thanks
thanks so much I really enjoyed all the trip videos .Have never been to your part of the world the views and history and music really made the trip enjoyable...so much different from Florida...was wondering how to view your trip on Relive app..what is user name

Thank you both for a wonderful series. I appreciate the work that has gone into the production and editing. It has been really entertaining and informative. Nice one MMD!
Thank you Bonny! We’re glad you enjoyed it and thanks for your comments! 😀👍
Great series thanks for sharing, but maybe should have had a Kilkenny in Kilkenny 🤓just saying 🤓😎🏍💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦🍻
Thank you! Not a big fan of Kilkenny 🤔 and nothing would tempt me away from Guinness in Ireland 😂 it’s just too good! Thanks for watching! 😀👍
Happy travels for 2023 🥂🥃☕ any plans for 2023 🏍🏍?.....im in the mind for northen spain again...🤔 last visited 2018 ...atb folks...👍
Thank you Carol & Dave! Hope you have a brilliant 2023 - we’re hoping to get to France 🤞😀👍
You should visit Northern Ireland sometime
Thanks Steve! We intend to when we go back and finish The WAW!
enjojed every min, great vid, editing ,b&b appraisal evan the music was ok.
Thank you Reg! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching!
There once were two cats of Kilkenny,
Each thought that was one cat too many,
So they scratched and they fit,
And they thought and they bit,
'til instead of two cats they weren't any.
Anon.
Thank you for the literary input! 😀 I guess that’s why we didn’t see any there! 😂😀👍
Hi….brilliant….really enjoyed that
Thinking of doin same this September with my son
Do you know the mileages you did on each days ride?
Regards Steve
Intrigued when you say "interesting dip into Irish history but now we're back on the road to kill Kenny"
Poor Kenny, what ever did he do to you?
8:46
You’re absolutely right! Kenny didn’t deserve it! 😂😀👍
Just watched this series again getting withdrawal symptoms 🤣 just wondering if anything new on the horizon x
Thanks very much Mark! A lot of domestic stuff going on at the moment - next big tour is France in May! 😀👍
Thank you watching your Scottish tour atm can't wait hope you both OK 👌
Hi guys. Hope you are well and I'm looking forward to seeing your next adventure, when summer eventually gets here.
If I may ask your advice, I am planning a France, Spain and Portugal trip in September and note that you use 'Relive' to record your trips.
Is the app easy to use? (Phone or laptop)
Is there a subscription cost?
Ride safe.
Hi, just subscribed, do you let anyone ride with you at all ? Regards Tony.
Thank you Tony! To be honest we never ride with anyone - we’re not fans of ride outs and much prefer to do our own thing at a very slow pace! 😀👍
Have you Had Guiness o Clock
Since you got back Home
& Did it Taste the Same?
The Landlord in My Local
Says Guiness tastes just the same as in Ireland
But I am not so sure !
Hi Jeff, no “Guinness O’Clock” since Ireland ☹️ - tasted lots of Guinness in England over the years - no comparison to the real stuff! 😀👍
Thanks
Thank you Bob! We’ll certainly check him out for future reference - thanks for the tip! 😀👍
More coming soon I hope!
As soon as we can Joseph! Thanks for watching! 😀👍
Great tour but finish off in Kilkenny and don't get a pint of Kilkenny.
Thank you Margaret! I’ve tasted Kilkenny before but couldn’t break my addiction to Guinness! 😂😀👍
thanks so much I really enjoyed all the trip videos .Have never been to your part of the world the views and history and music really made the trip enjoyable...so much different from Florida...was wondering how to view your trip on Relive app..what is user name
Thanks very much Patrick! Glad you enjoyed following our adventures 😀 sadly don’t think we can share our relive route - thanks for watching! 😀👍
