LEFTY one of the greats . My mother told me of her and my father going to a dance in Grant's pass oregon in the 1950's with lefty Frizzell playing.. Drinking and fighting also of course...😅
Lefty…….Nashville chose to forget about you but not your fans……Ask any country singer from Merle Haggard forward who inspired them and it’s Lefty Frizzell. He died feeling no one cared about him. Thanks Porter!

I thoroughly enjoyed this. Just one question? How did a right handed guitarist acquire the nickname Lefty? This is sooooo much better than what passes for country music today. In today’s market, it’s basically commercial pop music sung with a country flavor.
Abe Mulkey looks to have a strong voice. From here he seems to be further from the mike, but still nearly drowns Lefty out. Just lucky he sounds good, but he wouldn't have been there if he didn't.
@@Gratefulman1965 Forgive my ignorance. I had just finished reading George Jones' book and what he said about the way Lefty kinda got goofed around. Nothing against Abe, I was just on the defence about Lefty at the time. He didn't need any help with this song I guess is what I meant. I will be kinder from now on. Cheers.
PORTER WAGONER SO MUCH FUN What a show loving the reruns and PRETTY LITTLE MISS NORMA JEAN BEAUTIFUL SINGER. LEFTY FRITZELL HOW SWEET IT IS TO LISTEN TO HIM AGAIN . I WATCHED Porter Wagoner when IT STARTED ON TV WHEN WE COULD AFFORD ONE AND I'm 74yrs old and enjoying the reruns . The garbage that's on T.V. is not worth watching .
Lefty was the epitome of real country music love that sound
Love Lefty. Thanks for this treasure. 😊
I used to watch the Porter Wagoneer show when I was just a kid he had some great music and guests
And???
I briefly worked at the country music hall of fame and got to meet Porter shortly before he passed...
Was that at the old Hall of Fame? I liked it a lot better than the new one it was a little more down-home feeling. You're very lucky to have met him
Wow. And???
Musicians here are crazy talented
ALWAYS watched this as a child growing up 😊 and still love watching it ❤️
Lefty Frizzell was awesome on the Porter Wagoner Show!!
This is fantastic, unbelievable,as a guitarist,I find this to be facinating
He was only around 37 years old here. Tough living. Amazing talent.

Thanks TH-cam for putting a commercial in the middle of a song, bastards.
Wow, that’s Buck Henry on guitar and banjo!
uhh... Buck TRENT. Buck Henry was a hack of a comedy writer for SNL and other un-funny stuff.
This is great. I like Lefty's songs a lot. I must have been born in the wrong generation. ha.

Mulkey? Any relation to Kim?
Back when their was real talent
Lefty left out a verse of Saginaw Michigan.
That’s why they called him Lefty.
✨💖✨ Mr. Lefty, Excellent 🙏❤️🔥✝️🌿🌹🍃🕊️✨
Man I Man. Just look at all of that Wildroot and Brylcream. Hehehehe
Good singer
❤
The past was so better..
No Dolly.
Who is the guy in the toupe?
You'd figure Lefty would play the guitar on the other side.
My iPad isn’t letting the true sound come thru ,.
Imagine that 😂🤣
That fiddle player just discovered meth!
Meth was non-existent then !!! What a lovely 🌎 !!!
Carefully scripted spontaneity.
Specks lyin through his tooth.
Get that dork outta Lefty's space
That dork is Mr. Abe Mosley. A legend in his own right. One of the greatest unknowns in country music! Now be kind.

Wow.Without Abe that song would not be as great as it is.. . Did Abe"s appearance boost his singing career ?I'm curious. I feel like it should have.
It's Abe Mulkey . ..who's the dork now?
