0:25 Hi Nada! This is Bill’s wife Barb!😂. I’m 66 and have had a few of my peers get broken or strained ankles or even fall on uneven surfaces with heels. I used to wear 2 in heels or platforms all the time up until I was around 55 or so, but rarely do unless it’s for a fancy dinner that I’m doing minimal walking as my back doesn’t do well in them either.😆. Also wearing any shoes without cushion in the footbed especially those really flat sandals I have a hard time walking around in for more than just from car to table. It’s like walking barefoot. I’ve heard when you get older the feet loose their natural padding and my feet feel sore at the end of the day. So, us older gals need stable, comfortable shoes and sandals to keep us safe and happy…😉😘😆
This is Barb again…😉 I’d like to see a video for us older ladies on sandals-dress and every day-that are fashionable and wearable for walking around in…. (that are comfy and not hazardous) 😜 Thanks!
This is gonna sound weird but. I’m 15 and honestly I started wearing my grandma’s sandals. It’s like heaven. My feet are free and my ankles are thanking me. Thank you nana for the sandals! I miss ya. ❤
Thank you for the sandal ideas. I had given up on sandals this season (& last season) because I had seen some ugly styles that so many people are raving about. Ugh!!! But, now I can buy some cute ones. Yay!!!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
@Nada Manley I mean your hair is gorgeous! I just noticed that when you are seen on camera closer up, it cuts off your length so the middle part kind of loses that streamlined effect. Hope you don't mind me telling you. I am a performer and I appreciate when I get constructive criticism frommy friends!Love your videos!
I am on love with Tory Burch's miller cloud sandals for a birkenstock style shoe that looks really elevated. The sueded cork bed ones break in quickly and are so comfy, the leather covered rubber ones took a very long time to break in (might need heated up or something), but are also quite nice once they mold to your foot.
I am SO attracted to the French espadrilles. Are they a classic that you could invest in and keep forever? If so, what brands do you recommend? Thank you! I love your honest videos - and those pink bow sandals are very Nada. 💗
Thank you so much! Espadrilles are definitely having a moment right now, but they are a classic and are not going to ever go out of style in my opinion. I love a brand called Viscata that makes them in Spain. They are beautiful and so timeless but I’ve also but espadrilles from other brands. Castaner and Andre Assous are known for them. Definitely worth the investment although because these are fabric, I do not think you have to spend a ton of money to get a great pair.
I love Dr Martin’s funky style. I have several pairs of the Voss Sandals, they are amazing. I am tall and lean with long narrow feet. A chunky sandal looks so much more youthful than a delicate sandal on someone ( a senior) tall with narrow feet. Just my opinion.
Love your video as usual. Funny I know people with those Gucci sandals who think because they are expensive they are nice. They do not look like they are worth almost 500.00. I do struggle with support. I definitely have to go through my shoes, some would be considered frumpy 😂 helpful tips
I love sandals, but always struggle with finding ones that stay on my long, very narrow feet. I usually “slide” right out of slides. 😂 Yes…would love another video on Spring staple shoes. I always enjoy these videos when you show ugly compared to pretty!
Thank you for these beautiful and fun suggestions! I will be seeking out some of your recommendations. Do you have a video on work flats, or pretty/trendy shoes for work? I’m a teacher so I’m on my feet all day. I’m looking for new ideas :0) Also, teacher wardrobe ideas for a teacher over 50. I have found ideas on Pinterest, and other platforms, but they seem to focus on younger teachers. I teach high schoolers. Thank you!
Also, I like how one of your other commenters described a style as “I just gave up!” At 57, I am far from giving up, so I look forward to your suggestions!
I love pretty shoes especially dress sandals but a lot of them don't work for me. I can't wear slides, mules, thin heels, flip flops, wedges or very high heels. A low block heel no more than 3 inches works best or a flat. I can't wear a slippery sole and I don't know if it will be slippery until I have it on. I don't want to wear ugly sandals. The ankle strap doesn't work so well for me unfortunately but the one that goes across the foot that you say is dated does work. I could wear some of the comfort and braided sandals you showed but a nice dressy pair may be a problem.
Let me see what I can find for you! I have often taken shoes to a shoe repair store to have extra tread added to the bottom if they are super slippery. Happy to see if I can find you a couple of dressy pairs
I really don't like the blunt toe sandals.... sigh. A pointed or even slightly rounded style looks much more sleek, stylish and feminine. And for those of us with thick ankles and calves, ankle straps are deadly.... sigh.. Suggestions?
As a fellow Floridian...I have those embellished Vionics for running errands ( you can rip them off my cold dead feet...lol) and I have those Fallon Thong Naturalizer sandals for and upgraded moment.
Please refrain from including flashing images in your videos. While the image of the fuchsia sandals may not have been flashing at a high enough frequency to trigger epileptic seizures (I’m not sure…), it was still enough to trigger some of us who deal with severe chronic migraines. As we get older, the chances of developing neurological problems increases exponentially and sensory overload can make those symptoms much worse. When I turn on a fashion video -which should be benign- and am unexpectedly hit with a trigger that ends up robbing me of the next 3 to 8 days of my life, while I suffer through another debilitating monster migraine, I’m not happy! It doesn’t add any value to your videos and is so easily avoided.
Thank you for bringing that to my attention. It was definitely not my intention to cause any pain. I have recently started getting migraines due to menopause and I know how awful they are. I’m so sorry
@@NadaManley Thank you for being so responsive. My intention is not to criticize, but to increase awareness and to hopefully keep someone else with similar problems from being triggered in the future. Life is a minefield when so many things -bright lights, sudden loud noises, motion, heat, food triggers, and yes, hormonal fluctuations- can make us need to retreat to a darkened, quiet room for days. I hope your migraines calm down! I recently found your channel and have been enjoying binge-watching your videos. Thank you for the fun and informative content! ❤️
Stop ageist comments. Im sick of the age put downs. We arent idiots. We know how to update that is if we want to. Until you reach 55 dont speak for peo0le. Ageing serms to be the last ism that is acceptable. Change your language change your tone. Put down about aging is not helpful

All the leather slide sandals were my preference. Love the Tory Burch flip flops!
Yes video for spring and summer shoes!!
Your hair looks beautiful here, love the side part on you!

Yes. I would love a video on shoe staples to have, along with the top 10 sandals :0))
I will do that for sure!
Another excellent video. Yes, would love a top 10 sandal video.
Thank you!! I will do that for sure!
So glad Birkenstocks are on the good list! I love mine!
How do you stop your mules from sliding off?

Great video. Yes to your idea of showing staple shoe styles.
Great information! Thank you… I love to wear mules, flips and ankle straps….this was all great!

You should look at Vivaia for comfortable and pretty shoes. They are so nice
I’d like to see some narrow size choices.

It’s hard to find nice sandals when you have wide width feet. Most are frumpy

Like your videos. They should be half the time length, hard for people to get into these super long videos.
Thanks for the comment! This probably could’ve been a two-part video 🤣
Do you have any questions about sandals? Let me know in the comments! And shop some of my faves here. liketk.it/46on6

@@christinekellyrose9435 so funny that you have two of the styles! I think everyone in Florida has those Vionics!
Ankle straps are a hard pass for me no matter what the sandal style. I would luv to see more thong style. I enjoy your take on the bad and the ugly 😊
When I see thick elastic straps on a sandal instead of some actual leather, fabric or woven straps it burns my eyes.
😂 that's such a great description of what is going on with those types of shoes!
Cute or not cute is just your opinion, you know.
Well it is my channel lol. Also basing it on trends and flattery and yes my opinion :)
To pronounce the WEIRD NAME SANDALS to sound it out phonetically. PA NINA TORNAY I watch say yes to the dress and she does their bridal gowns as well.
These are all so dressy. I wear casual sandals 99.9% of the time.
Me too! I have some casual styles coming up in a future video. I love the flat slide sandals right now

All those ankle straps! That isn’t good for short women.
Birkenstocks are ugly.
