  • Britney Spears vocal range video for her magnum opus, Blackout. This is Britney's best album and its a return to vocals for her while on the previous two albums she fully adopted her nasally high pitched vocals, this is the album were she found a balance between her natural voice and her fake voice, blending them together to create her fourth best album vocally. Sidenote I think this album might have more F#3's then any other pop album in recent history.
    Low Notes: E2-A3
    Belted Notes: G4-E5
    Falsetto Notes: Bb4-F#6

I feel Blackout got a lot of undeserved criticism for the vocals back in the day, but to me Britney sounds fully engaged and committed to every track. Her voice really shines in the unreleased tracks, too. My favorite vocals from the album itself are Outta This World.

I agree with this a lot! Her voice shines way more here than in Circus, Femme Fatale, BJ and dare I say Britney. Britney and Keri Hilson harmonizing in Outta This World and Break the Ice will always be a favorite Britney vocal moment of mine. Her best vocals in the unreleased stuff. All the "she sounds like a robot" comments don't hold up, and when you listen to FF and BJ it makes you definitely miss the warmth in her Blackout vocals.

don't shoot Femme Fatale is so devoid of her personality and signature sound that I don’t consider it a true “Britney” album-her voice was in really bad shape back then. It did have some great moments, though. Britney Jean.. it’s so clear to me whenever Myah comes in and the songs are all basically rejected demos save for a few good tracks.

@@jasonthomas4872 I don't even think her voice was in bad shape for FF, she did sound incredible in Don't Keep Me Waiting and the verses in He About to Lose Me. But the production sought to drown her voice in melodyne and even behind the backing vocals like in hatlm, so she just sounds like a robot the whole album.

don't shoot the vocal production didn’t help, for sure. To me she just sounded more nasally than ever on a lot of the songs, and especially the S+M remix and prerecorded vocals on FFT. Makes me appreciate what we got with Glory even more.

Dávid Müller you’ve obviously never heard of mixed notes 🙄

@@ladysasha90 I know what is mixed voice, but these are clearly falsettos, mix voice is Jennifer Hudson's B5 in And I am telling you or Jessie J's A5s, Ariana's G#5s etc.

Dávid Müller no they’re not. They’re head dominant mixed notes. That’s not difficult to understand. The difference is quite obvious.
