So incredibly grateful to have been given this opportunity. I've learned so much and come so far. Man, it's been a ride. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone. Whether you contributed, participated, watched, or shared this series, you helped make it happen.
:') Loved watching this. Thank you so much for the amazing opportunity, the great memories and most of all the immense amount of things I've learned during this relatively short period of time. Working with Chris and Mark on this has been wonderful. The coaching, guidance and support were life changing. It was great getting to meet and build great friendships with all the other Young Guns, really grateful for them. I want to thank all The Futur fans for the support and wonderful comments on our journey.
It was such an amazing experience to be a part of all this, among all these talented people. Thankyou Mark for editing it in such a way that you made us look good! Thankyou Chris for giving us your time. And, thank you to the audience for watching us fail, learn and grow.
I'm just blown away that there is a channel like this, giving out all this awesome content, advice, coaching, strats etc. As someone who grew up and went to school for art, before TH-cam happened, I think this is an amazing resource, for anyone of any age. I also love that it's not just about the mechanics, that there is a strong underlying theme running throughout, which touches on the moralities of life, self discipline, trying to be a better person, and also paying it forward. Much respect and appreciation for Chris and The Futur Team! 🙏🕉️
Seeing how Arun and Fowler got impacted it is amazing how "The Futur" is changing not just their design process and ethics but also how they think about life and give them energy and motivation... Just that, to change their FOCUS and mindset. I'm proud of you all Young Guns that represented many of us young designers who need to improve work ethics and mindset. It's inspirational and I will be on this same pursuit.
Truly awesome guys! Chris you are right, We get inspired from lot of people around the world but seeing someone from your own country/state reaching to these sort of level really pumps up with a hell lot of positivity. Thanks a lot @Arun you have inspired me a lot man.
Mark Contreras you all are my inspiration in fact. I'm also from India so seeing Arun evolving has been amazing. I'm in love with all your content also bought Ben's "complete case study" yesterday. Looking forward to up my freelance design business with it.
I enjoyed this series because these young guns are our future designers - what an exciting place to be! As an established designer and a fiercely protective person, I learned something about risk. Yes, taking certain calculated risk in design, but more than that, taking risk in life. I was fearful for Arun’s enormous leap of faith in moving away from his parents and I originally disagreed with Chris’s encouragement of it. To see Arun at the end of the series lively, joyful and in love with his new life was absolutely wonderful and a great lesson for me as well. All of the young guns should be wildly proud of their accomplishments. So much talent! Thank you #thefutur and congratulations to all of the not-so-young-anymore guns! Looking forward to season II!
Such an amazing series. It's such a great way to see others progress in their work, but also to be given the opportunity to take their feedback and incorporate it into my work as a young/ new designer. KEEP 'EM COMING.
Just found this channel ... I wish I found this years ago while starting jump into design. Great channel for young designers and highly recommended. Great job.
Congrats to this amazing series guys! You filled a huge gap with great production value. Love that it really wasn’t about who wins the comp, the accent was on the journey, the experience and creative approach. Honestly, as a graphic designer this series was really inspiring for me. Great job, keep it going, and I wish all the participants the best possible futur(e) they can imagine🙂
I genuinely relate to what Chris said by "looking yourself at the mirror". Although I theoretically knew there were young designers, it was life changing to see something tangible. The progress was raw, and real (and most importantly, it made me believe I can do it). Really can't take the futur team enough for this show (and I'm excited for YG 2!)
I'd love to do something like this someday, I don't think I'm confident enough in my abilities yet though. One day. For now, Futur, thank you so much for creating this! I've learned so much from these videos alone and I loved watching the competition unfold. Can't wait for whatever you all have coming next! *ALSO I CAN'T WAIT FOR S2!
I really enjoyed this series. As a young designer, I picked up a lot of good advice and formed some good habits from the show. I'm excited to see what the all-girls season will be like.
I would love to take Spencer's advice to heart. It isn't working as well as it used to, because of fear. My father is retiring this September and he has told me and my 6 siblings that once he did, he's gonna move out. All expenses are on us nevertheless if some of us are still in school. I want Design, cuz it will be a job I won't ever retire from. My dad's words, encourage my pessimism brain that I got no time to chase that dream.
Can't wait for season 2 and deeply hoping season 3 can be about middle aged guns, since some of us are a bit older, swapped careers or had one delayed and also feel like they could use some feedback, challenge and push. I'm 27 so I guess that is middle aged? Was just over the "young" limit :(
I wish one from the Phillipines will be part of the Season 2.There are many good designer here but lack of equipment, Money and Other and it will be a good opportunity for them if one will be participating next season 😊
I love the whole show and concept! But you know, what really bugs me off? There are so many talented young female designers. And you only had guys. Can you tell me WHY?
This is a great video, I know that it is off topic, but how do you find clients willing to pay $5,000 for a logo?! I will get a DM, one of the few DMs I get, and they will ask for a logo and brand, etc. And I will give them the pitch and at the end when I ask their budget the say $40!!!! This has happened over and over again and for someone hoping to go full time this sucks. It would he helpful to release a video talking about finding GOOD clients.
They were all at different points in their lives, having done different things, learnt differently, some self-taught, it wasn't about best, because then they'd have to be equal all things such as education level, background, age, career experience held constant. Ultimately it was about learning, a few contests here and there sure, but overarching aim was learning, sharing and exposure .
So incredibly grateful to have been given this opportunity. I've learned so much and come so far. Man, it's been a ride. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone. Whether you contributed, participated, watched, or shared this series, you helped make it happen.

Absolutely loved this series! Thanks Chris for putting all this together!
Can't believe Sean is mostly self taught. That's amazing. Wish you great success.
he has raw talent and an eye for design.
