Thx for sharing. One of the drawbacks of a rear cam mounted outside is if someone rear ends your car, chances are the cam will be wrecked as well from the direct impact. I guess placing it underneath the spoiler is not as bad compared to mounting it above the number plate.
Looking to buying wolf box. How did you wire you truck. Hardwire? It 12v? I’ve seen some harnesses that you can use the mirror to hardwire into instead of the firebox. Like this set up.
I used the hardwire and tapped into 2 fuses- however, Wolfbox sells an OBD2 port tap that I recommend- it’s plug and play with voltage cutoff options for not much more than the hardwire fuse kit.
It comes with rubber bands. You can buy the Oem mount from there that replaced the mirror (preferred). I used a custom bracket I printed since their oem mount came out after I wanted it to be mounted cleanly.
@@reneehuang180 already have a backup cam- didn’t replace it. added a separate one as this one is positioned higher and higher quality. Check out my other videos, I replaced a backup cam on a RAV4 for better quality.
Best video for what its like at night. Thx

At the height of where it is on the 4Runner, it would only be destroyed by a big rig

Does it mount with a strap over the original mirror? or is there an accessory to cleanly mount it to the windshield?

can you turn it off from recording all the time? I just want it only for the rear view camera mirror thing.
Just don’t put a SD card inside, then it won’t record into anything
Take my money, how much
I do for you free
