    Oh Huw, you've grown so much in so many ways! I'm so glad you started these videoes and I love how this is your passion and life! I'd love to see a remake of a video about fruit trees with info about creating a guild and underplanting. Just putting it out there 💕 All of these videoes are useful too, so again thank you for your amazing channel!

    Very good and clear instructions. Unfortunately, our trees are so out of shape that I am not sure where to begin. We had so many apples on such long, downward hanging branches last year that a number of branches broke off. I will remove or shorten those, of course. Thank you for giving us some starting points.

    Best aple tree pruning video I have seen and I've trawled through quite a few. What time of tree stage is best to do this? When all the apples have come off? Or if they haven't by autumn then pull them off and cut back before winter?? What do you think?

    10% milk solutions are recommended for killing funguses on plants. It requires the action of strong sunlight to alter the milk proteins to create peroxidases etc, though it never worked for me in treating powdery mildew. I guess I'd want to stick to isopropyl alcohol to sterilise my tools. But well commented video.

    Can you explain the pros and cons of different ground cover in an orchard? Should there be mulch around the bases or is it ok to let the grass grow like in the video?

  • @telclivo7945
    @telclivo7945 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ooh. This is going to be a bit more difficult for me. I have a fully established Discovery Apple tree which is about 29 years old, also I have a cooking apple tree (unsure of what type) that is also 29 years old. These trees are rather large for the UK and will probably need trimming. However we have a use for the crops as fertalizer, food and for cider. The wood is also given to a lady whom lives close to us as she has a parrot. Apple tree bark is good for parrots.
