- This is a compilation of Van Halen references that have appeared in movies over the years. Hope fans of the band enjoy it! I know there are other vh movie references out their that I did not include. I do not own any of the footage or music that appears in this video. I made the video for the band and their fans. I hope the movie and music companies see it as free advertising but understand if it gets pulled. Here's to Van Halen!!!! Rest in Peace Eddie.......The Greatest Guitar Player of All Time.
I'd love to see a movie about Van Halen. They did movies about Def Leppard and Motley Crue. Time for a Van Halen film!
i guess I'm pretty randomly asking but does anyone know of a good site to watch new series online?
@Landen Dominick i watch on flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
@Phillip Jaxton Definitely, I've been using flixzone for years myself =)
@Phillip Jaxton Thanks, I signed up and it seems like a nice service =) Appreciate it!
@Landen Dominick You are welcome :D
RIP Eddie Van Halen (Edward Lodewijk Van Halen; January 26, 1955 - October 6, 2020).. your legacy will always be remembered.
#vanhalen
R.I.P. Eddie Van Halen
I simply could not turn away from this video... great job pulling it together! =VH= forever!
I simply could not turn away from this video... great job pulling it together! =VH= forever!
Thanks man, that means a lot!
Brian Bernhardt Cool video bro
Brian Bernhardt I think the only movie worth a shit was. over the edge. cuz in the early 80s we we're as hardcore as try that. but that chicks a skank and needed her. stoopid. ass kicked for swinging a gun around. actually we we're the coolest cuz when the movie fast times came. out. we we're already into the. misfits and agnostic front.... no posers
I was watching this for the Halen stuff but man the whole would win in a wrestling match Lemmy or God really killed me lol
@@oiyabastard5360 Accept Restless and Wild, Angelwitch, Blitzkrieg, Motorhead, Celtic Frost
Just one band, the Mighty Van Halen, the swagger and attitude. No band can beat them.
I totally agree. I loved watching DLR walking into San Bernardino for the US Festival in ‘83, he looked like he was saying “we’re here and ready to kick some ass”. 🤟🤟🤟
EDDIE Van Halen did his job and he did it well. He blew everyone away with his guitar playing talent and his smoke rings. He gave us songs to remember and songs to sing with friends. Thank you EDDIE Van Halen. RIP you guitar God
My favorite is still the burger playing "Everybody Wants Some!!" in "Better off Dead." That was just crazy and demented. Weirdest John Cusack movie ever. I want my two dollars!
the best guitar player EVER
This was SO COOL!!!! Van Halen touched everyones life somehow, someway, mind blowing. Whoever made this, fist bump, you did an awesome job.
I grew up in the Over The Edge(movie) era. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Any party we went to was usually blasting Van Halen on the stereo. Every party that had bands jamming at them were always playing Van Halen. Keep your flying cars future cause I grew up in the coolest era ever, and that was because we had Eddie Van Halen through it all. Van Halen was the soundtrack of our lives. Thank you for making this video. It was awesome. The original TV series 21 Jump Street, season 1 episode 4 mentioned Van Halen 4 or 5 times with Johnny Depp. What's hysterical in the episode is Johnny Depp says he's never listened to Van Halen. But in actuality Johnny Depp is an enormous Eddie Van Halen fan. Stay cool everyone.
There will NEVER be another Eddie Van Halen. He truly was the best there ever was, and ever will be. Jeff Spicoli was a Chad though ... hiring Van Halen to play his birthday party 😎🤘 Rest in Peace Rockstar
After Eddie passed I started wondering how many movies they were mentioned in... You nailed it bro what an amazing video!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this fantastic tribute!
We celebrate Eddie’s greatness.
His legacy will remain FOREVER!! Eddie Van Halen the greatest innovator!!
So inspired tribute!! Congrats!!♥️
From a true VH fan from the beginning: thank you.
Awesome Video. Thanks for the Van Halen Tribute. RIP Eddie Van Halen thanks for the music.
Looks like this took a lot of time to put this together. Well done and thank you! Eddie was a big influence on all of us
This was awesome. I was born in '73, so I got to enjoy VH as the soundtrack of my youth. I just missed the Roth era, but had older buddies that told me some unbelievable stories......I wouldn't trade my youth for anything. I got to grow up during the heyday of hard rock and heavy metal.
Eddie was a genius. He is one of God’s supreme talents, a step above the rest of us and mortal man and women. Mozart, Beethoven, Davinci, Babe Ruth, Einstein, Michael Jordan and Eddie Van Halen are on a page all of their own.
Awsome tribute to Van Halen and those great classic films. 🎥
Anyone notice Mike Damone, the concert ticket-selling guy from 'Fast Times At Ridgemont High' looks a bit like Alex Van Halen?
🤣🤣
👍 just for remembering Damon's first name...lol
I was gonna say, the shorter of the two kids who's buying the tickets looks like Wolfie.
Damone still owes me 60 bucks for quiet roit tickets .You see him tellem am looking for him!!!!!
I thought the same
Glad someone put these clips together! Thank you! VH made America Great!! 🤟🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
So good!!! Thanks God for Eddie and the boys!!! RIP EVH!!!❤❤❤
AWESOME JOB!!! I LOVED almost everything about this clip! EXCEPT the "All music written by Edward Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, & David Lee Roth"! Based on the songs used for these particular movies Mikey's name should have NEVER been removed by the guys!!! His back up vocals were ALL AWESOME on these songs!
This is exactly why I really do LOVE TH-cam! What is not to be found here, without every emotion possible being felt?
Great video and a great tribute to Eddie Van Halen. 👍🤘
Thoroughly enjoyed!
Van Halen ROCKS!
Great job! Essential viewing for Van Halen fans!
The movie "SLC Punk" has the song "Atomic Punk." This is the best TH-cam video I've ever seen. This video is just one of the many reasons the mighty Van Halen is the greatest rock and roll band of all-time. I am surprised this video doesn't have over 300 million views.
Man, I wish could've grown up going to parties that played Van Halen rather than rap and country.
No shit right!! They happened sometimes but it was rare
@@justen7994 I hope you guys like to drink and party, cuz those VH parties were for real in the early 80's. If the cops didn't break it up, it ran all night.
Throw a party Dude
I did but I don't remember any of them. Either I'm getting old and my memory is bad or it was the massive amounts of drugs and alcohol.
Unless you mean the backyard parties in Pasadena in the early 70s you can still throw a party and play whatever the fuck you want.
Extremely nice work on this piece!!
Let's face it people, Eddie Van Halen changed the face of Rock n Roll. He was on a league of his own.
R.I.P Eddie! Thanks for the awesome brown sound.........
Wadda ya mean by 'brown' sound?
that was awesome,it really is amazing how much Van Halens music is still alive and kicking and i'll give a small crumb to the pop sugar rock sensation ballad singing van hagar too.
That was pretty awesome man....it's pretty cool that Adam Sandler is actually a Van Halen Fan.
Incredible, Amazing, Excelent,Perfect..... Good Job.....
Love all of it! Thanks for all the happy all American music. You'll be so missed! RIP EVH!
Brian these clips brought back so many memories growing up in the 80 and 90s. The 80s was the best decade of my life!... Ty for sharing this!🤘✌🤘
What a mastermind runnin with the devil how do u come up with such riffs my what talent that boy had
I know. He was ridiculously talented.
THANK YOU for this video. Well done! Was so nice to see my fave Van Halen "moment" from "Better Off Dead". I have not seen that in ages.
One other thing to suggest is the piece "Ripley" (aka. "Blood And Fire" from "A Different Kind Of Truth") which is used in "The Wild Life".
This was brilliant! Thanks a lot for taking the time to create this tribute!! 🤟🏻😉🎸🔝👍🏻 Forever rocking in heaven now, thanks for a lifetime of music on earth Eddie! 💖🎶🎸
The animated hamburger from “Better Off Dead” never gets old!!
GOD that first van halen album was unbelievable, every roth era album was amazing.after 1984 along with those 3 videos grandmothers knew who van halen was.
OMG thank you - this made me laugh and smile for the first time this week! I was there in '78 - RIP EVH
Very cool! Awesome job putting all of these together! VH forever LEGENDARY!!!

This is great! Its amazing how long Van Halen has been around and how many times their music has been used in movies.
Its sad I didn't get into Van Halen while Eddie was alive, it's like when Eddie passed I started paying attention to them. Boy I like them! Thanks for the great video.

Robert Romanus (Mike on "Fast times at Ridgemont High) looked a little like Alex Van Halen, to me... With his hair style.
Couldn't agree more!! "Young and dumb" GREAT TRIBUTE!!!!!
I was one of those people😁
Had posters of him all over my bedroom walls....loved him...He was the best rock guitarist there ever was...His legacy will live on..I bet you are "rockin in heaven" RIP Eddie 💔💔💔.
I was working in a record store during those days .... those were good times, crazy good time
Brilliant. You deserve an Oscar.
That was awesome. Thanks for the memories. 👍
Thanks for the years of rock and roll. To much to even say. Eddie and the group will always be a major part of rock history. Thanks again
1st time watching this. Been over a month since Edward's Passing, and the tears come again. I've been a fan since the mammoth days. I know Edward has touched a lot of people, but now know part of my soul left to. Hendrix went to 11, Edward went to 15.... R.I.P Edward you spirit, lives in music with inference.
Great man!
Nicely done! I have on good authority that Eddie has seen this video and he liked it!
The nuns singing Running With the Devil was awesome .😈
That.... was AWESOME!
Very nice. Awesome deep cut with Over the Edge.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane, just watched Better Off Dead last week and almost cried knowing the era is over... I am in tears knowing my hero has passed... in Memory of "Eddie" I blasted Romeo Delight over and over in my van for a week straight... btw the van has a 6000.00 stereo so EVERYONE within a block heard it too...

A few more deep cuts:
The Wild Life (1984): Eddie Van Halen scored this forgotten Cameron Crowe flick
Night Shift (1982) "You Really Got Me"
Help Wanted: Kids (1982) "Jump"
Jump
Performed by David Morgan vh jump came out a couple years later
The Wild Life is great! Basically Eddie solos and riffs all the way thru it. You can hear parts of future songs when you rewatch it.
Great video! Also they did some songs in the movie twister with Sammy.
