Cheaper (TFT) is so docile being picked up. But Peeper (TF)is always so feisty 😂 This camera has been so amazing, watching them grow! I love that NZ really has invested in saving these beautiful majestic birds. Thank you for streaming this for everyone to watch 🙏
How beautiful. That's a BIG baby! 😁It just sat there? Awhhh. I hate watching them being stressed. But I guess it needs to be done. I hope this beautiful baby lives a long life. ❤
I’m concerned that the scientists take for granted the benefits of what they’re doing and the way they go about it without having given appropriate consideration for the costs. Stress, after all, can have a profound impact on the health of certain animals. Not to mention that ornithologists are known to have engaged in what I’d argue are unethical practices, like trapping and killing of newly discovered species to add to their institutions’ collections. IMO, skepticism is warranted.
I would love to ask Ranger Julia what it feels like to hold these big bois! What their bill/beak feels like, their feet, their feathers, the weight, their strength… she is a zen master!
Putting the IDrings + data is a very delicat task. Needs concentration and luckily TFT was calm 😊. I was a bit worried with TF because he was quite feasty 😮. But the Rangers are experts 💪🙌
Thank you for helping them. I also enjoy the Cornell Merlin app on my phone! I'm well aware I'm not close to being even a novice, however, may I suggest not putting your fingers over their nostrils when holding their beak? I love all your videos. ❤
177 / 5 000 Well, we weigh them, etc. etc. and if we left these birds alone for a bit? We've understood for a while now...we're not going to do the same thing for 10 years either?
Such a big bird ,thanks for all you do for them😊❤

Beautiful baby 🥰 What a treat this video is!
Thank you! It has been such a joy to watch TFT and TF grow! Their parents are as amazing and loving as them! 🥰❤🙏🏼🙌🏼
It's been amazing to watch these babies grow, how mom and dad took care of them and how great the rangers are! Thank you!
It looks gigantic!

Such amazing birds, absolutely huge, and perfectly designed to travel the oceans.

@@theck672 I wonder what the fluffy baby feathers feel like
Appreciable enforced care for such tolerant big sweethearts.

After they're done. And walk away. He flaps his wings and says, what the hell was that about? Poking and probing me. Bastards! 😆😆😆
How old is it now looking beautiful
THATS A CHICK??? How big are these birds?? And why isn’t mom swooping down to get you?
Albatrosses were not exposed to humans throughout their genetic history, so they don't see humans as a threat. You can Google their size.
This Juvenile I counted is 193 days old. Parents still come to feed them. The young Albies will fledge mid-september.
Mum's away shopping.
Where are the parents?

Pose the badge/ring faster please : its annoying !
Imagine if the Moa was still around, and the Haast Eagle. We humans are responsible for mass genocide of native animals.
