- Minecraft, the best video game to ever exist. From the nether, to the end, the darkest place in Minecraft to ever exist is actually the life of a Villager. Villagers just be trying to chill but then Steve comes up looting all their chests, taking beds, you name it. Anyways, I'm also announcing my retirement as a comedian. I am now becoming a Minecraft youtuber. I will surpass Technoblade, Skeppy, and Gamerboy80. Goodbye.

This reminded me of the glitch where villagers duplicated based on the number of doors in a village, and a friend of mine found the villagers so annoying he made a retracting floor that would trigger whenever villagers went looking for a bed at night, to just drop them into a pit of lava. I had no idea villagers had trades for a long time because all the villagers were dead.

@@Brievel At the time he had been building the perimeter wall around our village and had decided to include a door about every 12 blocks to get in and out of the village. He had like 4 layers of doors to prevent monsters getting in and he just thought they looked pretty. Then our server patched and we were swamped with villagers. Didnt find out about the lava room until I walked into it myself and was very surprised.

I actually stole a bed from a village once and then when I finished I made that village a medieval town and started breeding villagers till I created a community and till today they are doing fine

I always try to be nice to my villagers. I build a wall around their village to keep zombies out, light up everything for them so no monsters can get in, build them additional houses and beds and workstations, trade with them, and generally try to make the village flourish. It's satisfying to turn the village into a large town with a dozen iron golems on patrol, and watch towers from which I can destroy any Illagers that come near.
Granted, I do a few sketchy things. Villagers that refuse to work are either buried in sand to make room for new villagers, are carted off to live lives of perpetual terror in iron golem farms. The normal villagers seem completely unaware of these horrifying activities. They are also seemingly unaware of the fact that the hero of the village is deliberately causing the illager raids, celebrating me every time with a great party. They are also apparently oblivious to the fact that when I heal them from zombification, I'm usually the reason that they got turned into a zombie in the first place. As far as I can tell, the Villagers are living happy lives in expansive and secure towns, mating, eating, sleeping, and becoming wealthy and successful.
I'd never treat a villager the way these guys do. Villagers are way too valuable of a resource for that. Villagers are your friends and the secret to great wealth. Killing villagers is just stupid. And destroying a village is just bad aesthetics. You have to live in that world too.
I'm working on a fortified city. Admittedly it might look like a prison outside, but inside is more like a set of enclosed apartments.

When I used to play Minecraft 5-6 years ago on survival, I was always looking for a village just to go and steal some diamonds and settles. Whenever I see a chest, I just break it and take it for me. Imagine if the villagers had hidden chest around their houses. That would be even better
In my first world I was roommates with a villager. I made an upstairs bed and tried to keep his house mostly the same. But he vanished one day, then when I had friends online one of them griefed the now vacant house. That "friend" has not been invited back.

Honestly though I think that is quite merciful since it still took them 3 minutes to burn down the house, the moment I see a village I would loot everything in existence then burn everything (including the iron golem and the animals)
