Ahh man, its a good day when there is a Evan Rant BTS!! Especially in NYC .. so inspiring and makes me wanna go out and make photos. Thank you Evan and always appreciate your work and nice to see you had a awesome trip in NYC! I cannot wait til I can go there to do some street photography
This is my every weekend! It's crazy. The city never, ever disappoints. I shoot upper west side every day and walkabout on the weekends. Always find fresh new spots every single time. Great video. I think people unsure of how to just walk out and get into it will get SO MUCH out of this. Totally agree about sunlight in NYC. My whole style is built around this city 👍
Yea blue sky days in NY are my least favorite. Maybe it's because I grew up around it and it's boring to me, but it feels so stale when conditions are too perfect, I need some drama! Really cool seeing your perspective on all the locations you shot at.
Hey. I hope you enjoyed your visit to New York. I love going there for street photography. I appreciate the time you put into the video. Thanks for the content and hard work.
The man in the subway is standing under a Fulton street sign which is cool considering Atlanta is in Fulton county. Cool little connection between Evans hometown and NYC.
Never been to NY, LA born and raised; hope to make it out there to capture some shots. My favorite was at 4:55 with the green sticker arrow and half reflection shot. It’s really dope 🔥👌🏽
All of them were bangers!! Glad to see you got some good light while in NYC. It's been super dreary this past week but your video def inspired me to go back out there and shoot!
Just myself got back to london from NYC! Saw your story from Times Square, tried to find you to say hi but couldn’t see yall😂 great video dude! We sure got some great weather for creating🙏🏼
Nice one Evan! Loved the photo of the man in the subway. It feels like NYC underground has a unique vibe to it that you can't find it anywhere else! Would love to shoot there one day! Cheers for the inspiration!
Total beginner here. I'm just about to go to downtown Mexico City (Condesa) with my sony a6000 and a kit lens. Wish me luck! Thank you for the inspiration 🤘
Gets a 5/5 for me man. What is there to criticize? I live in Oz Evan but went to NY in 2018 late December. Man what a place! I know its easy for me I don't have to live there or make a living there but there's something about it. My self control was magnificent and I kept the photo count to 3900 in 2 weeks. I know! Self control right! People back home ask me what about NY that made me love it and it's not one thing. It's just NY man, the whole `deal.'
Hey Evan, wanted to say hello!! I just found your channel as I was searching up “product photography”. I’m really enjoying the content! Funny that you’re based in Atl, maybe I’ll see you strolling around ! B ble5sed!
Between you Roman Foxand Northern Borders going to NYC recently makes feel like I need to try harder to shot photos in NYC since I live less then an hour away from Manhattan. Great Video!!!
Dope pics, You should definitely try shooting around the Roosevelt island tram next time, you can get great views there. Can explore a little more uptown around Washington heights and peek the george Washington bridge and the parks underneath it, lots of opportunities for great pics.
Partial to subway pictures having ridden them most of my life and listened to them run behind my house. Hoping you have more with some of the street art (graffiti to some) Might want some tips for where to take my camera when I hit Georgia in March
I may refine that one some and fix some thing with a color balance in PS, but idk at the time I’m posting this that’s how I liked it! Also could look different depending on screens
I am visiting New York in March and I’m looking for good places to take pictures do you know the location you were at around the sixth minute of the video
Appreciate y’all watching! This one took a while to put together so hope you get some inspiration from it 💯
Definitely makes me wanna go back to downtown LA and take photos man, thanks 👍🏽
First 30 seconds is probably my favorite sequence you've done sir. Everything about it felt perfect!
New York is a vibe no matter the day, time, or season
That first 20 seconds with the news in the background was straight heat!!! 🔥🔥🔥
That’s it, you win. Dude your photos and your edits are going down in history. So sick, so nostalgic vibes
Oh and the song, perfect!
They are soooo sick😍😍😍😍🔥 absolutely love it
Thank you!!!
Love the OG Evan Ranft video!
Having your videos in the background while I'm deep into my thoughts and doing my stuff over here, its just therapeutic. Thanks once again Evan!
Loved watching this while having my Saturday morning coffee. Thanks for sharing.
More motivation to do street photography
Great Intro. That's also the best part of the video.
my favorite photos are the one with the construction worker and the man on his phone in the subway. so many incredible shots!!
The cool thing about NYC is that you'll always have a subject in your photo. No long waits for someone to walk into the frame.
Watching this inspired me to go out on my own to shoot again..

Brilliant. Thanks
I love seeing the scene and your choices. I often would make completely different compositions but yours are excellent as well! Nice stuff as usual.
Amazing!!! Love this type of videos!! Thanks Evan, this is the reason I started following you back in the day! Love it!
So happy to hear it!!

Yo always appreciate your support!
Loved part one! Can’t wait for the next one. Awesome pics (as always) Evan😄
real nice shots man, I take harsh light for granted sometimes so this makes me wanna go out and shoot in those conditions!
Really love this one man. Your harsh sunlight photography is always a treat.
Means a lot man thank you!

🔥 🔥🔥
🙏🙏🙏🙏
those shots were great. Makes me really want to make the trip to NYC and shoot street for a full weekend
Great editing, Evan.
Really dig the vibes in the studio, the blue hues looks very moody and chill. Also the content is 🔥
Thanks! I was feeling it too when I edited the video. Has a nice vibe!

The best shot 2:40, I love how the person is a bit out of focus. The framing, composition, colors, everything spot on.
insane work mate! loving it

Incredible photos Evan! It makes me want to go back to NY!!
Do it!!
Oh man you just gave me another reason to visit New York City 🔥
Make it happen!
Man these are fire fire fire, I really wish I could get these looks in capture one. You are a huge inspiration man.
Really well done. Love the vibes in all the photos.
Means a lot thank you!
@@RanftEvan did you use a pro mist filter for these
shooting in NYC is so different, no other city is near as good for street in the USA
Total beginner here. I'm just about to go to downtown Mexico City (Condesa) with my sony a6000 and a kit lens. Wish me luck! Thank you for the inspiration 🤘
you got this man!
Gets a 5/5 for me man. What is there to criticize? I live in Oz Evan but went to NY in 2018 late December. Man what a place! Photos came out sick! I loved shooting photos so much the last couple of times I went to nyc, I’m in the process of trying to move there 😂
Nice presentation Evan and yes, I always take something positive away from your videos.
Between you Roman Foxand Northern Borders going to NYC recently makes feel like I need to try harder to shot photos in NYC since I live less then an hour away from Manhattan. Great Video!!!
Hey thank you so much!
So sad I missed the chance to connect while you were in NYC.
0:50 you have succeeded at that!
Saw when you posted these images on instagram 🔥🔥
Aye appreciate it!
Love this video! I'm headed to NYC soon and was wondering if you have recommendations on safe places to shoot at night?
Dope pics, You should definitely try shooting around the Roosevelt island tram next time, you can get great views there.
Can explore a little more uptown around Washington heights and peek the george Washington bridge and the parks underneath it, lots of opportunities for great pics.
Yeah I want to get up that way eventually!
🤙🔥🔥
great vibes! do you attach your phone or a gopro on top of your camera? how do you get this great video shots?
Good stuff ! What was used for the street pics?
These are great, you should visit Washington, D.C. next
I’ve heard it’s really cool!
@@RanftEvan yeah man it is you should go. I went once and git some cool photos and it also has a good vibe cool bars and restaurants.
Partial to subway pictures having ridden them most of my life and listened to them run behind my house. Hoping you have more with some of the street art (graffiti to some) Might want some tips for where to take my camera when I hit Georgia in March
Do it! Georgia starts to get nice around the end of march and into may, it’s best here in the spring and early summer for photos!
Have any pictures gotten a 5 yet? Could be a cool video of all your 5’s and why they’re 5’s
Yo that woman in red squeezing thru that door in front of you. 😂
Haha I noticed that during editing, assuming she was in a hurry!
5:58 The Gopro captured some real nice chilly cold feeling blues and rusty orange accents, how come you chose to make it green hazy summer vibes?
I may refine that one some and fix some thing with a color balance in PS, but idk at the time I’m posting this that’s how I liked it! Also could look different depending on screens
@@RanftEvan True. That's fair, I thought maybe it was a part of a larger project you were working on.
What lens were you using?
16-35 f4
I miss you're voice overs as you took the photos that you used to do. Gave the videos more story and purpose.
I’ve noticed it is common for TH-camrs to go back after uploading a video and change the title and the thumbnail.
I am visiting New York in March and I’m looking for good places to take pictures do you know the location you were at around the sixth minute of the video
Yeah that’s the Manhattan bridge!
saludos desde venezuela, se puede vivir de la street photography. quien las compran?
Have you ever rated a photo 5/5?
Hey
Real MVP!
What’s with the Donald Duck sound track…..🙉🙉 for me POV’S are so much more interesting without music, just so distracting.Great shots though…👍🏻
make money money, make money money ;)
