Another great video, some things I'd like to point out/suggest for you and anyone else watching. 17:00 - If you weren't aware, you can paint over the bush with grass/dirty/whatever and it'll remove it for you. 18:40 - You can remove any building but trees and custom pastures and get 100% of your money back so long as you DO NOT leave the construction menu. 29:52 - This seeder for some reason has the incorrect working width for auto, it should be 4.6 M, not 4.4 (You can check this by looking at the stats in the vehicle tab). It's not a very huge difference, but it can easily add up to doing extra unnecessary laps in larger fields. 37:25 - While you can get away with this setup on that tractor, it's important to keep in mind that you are over the HP needed by a small bit, thus the obvious reduced speed, but the biggest issue with doing this is that it will lower your tractors durability a lot faster due to overworking the engine and this is compounded even more given the age and running hours the starting tractor already has.
I love the song part in the top right corner, it's amazing, thank you for that As for the contracts, no I don't think it's cheating or anything, you can add them even in RP, like start with zero money in the bank and zero equipment and say that you need to "get hired" at the beginning to make some money, and later on after you get your first equipments don't do them anymore, and eventually at the end of the RP make one more contract for that person as a form of respect for helping you out at the beginning when you didn't had any money, but in a let's play style of playing it's acceptable, if you need money fast, I think that's the easiest way to make them, when I play I take usually 3 contracts (that's the maximum allowed) on two of them I hire a worker and the third one I make it or hire a worker on all 3 of them and I work on my farm. (I said maximum of 3 because I'm still on FS22, I have FS25 too but I'm afraid to start to play, I know it sounds weird)
I feel pretty bad whenever I do anything remotely cheaty, and doing the contracts with a worker does not feel that way to me. To me it's just having a contracting side business and hiring out help. You pay the worker and take a hit on the total income of the contract, and you pay the flat rate for borrowing the equipment, and you wait and check on the contracted worker making sure it's getting done. It's still work, I don't think it's cheesing at all. far from it, even.
I agree. I feel like some of the jobs should pay better for the AI workers tho. But I picture it was a couple kids (17-23ish) working for me for funds for them to get started, like a summer job
One of my most fun playthroughs on 22 was when I did a rags to riches as a high school kid who just graduated and had nothing to his name. I had to do contracts till I could buy a little plot of land and set up a homestead. Still did them until I got my own operation up and running more. So even with a start from $0 type of challenge I think they can still be a part of a fun and enjoyable story.
The lime selling station next to the farm also has an option to also purchase solid fertiliser. It's nice to just be able to buy what you need rather than the full bags. Loving the series bro, this is such a beautiful game
You could set a limit on, lets say one contract per month, just to not make thousands upon thousands of dollars each month. Its not very accurate to be paid 50k a month for doing contracts. Then you have to choose a contract that pays well, if you only have a one limit. Or set a cap, you can do contracts up to 10 och 15k for one month. But on the other hand, its a lets play, so not really any challenges you have to do, if you need money, then do them, for more realism, set a limit :)
Finders fee lol no I don’t think doing contracts is cheating think it will speed up the game play so that’ll be up to you you could try to buy all the land later depending on how long it takes for mods I guess lol
I agree it's apart of the game and it seems people love using it. But i feel turning off seasonal growth feels cheaty to me. I feel like it takes away the management side of the game.
I think for a more realistic lets play contracts are okay only if you can do it with your own equipment. The borrowing equipment essentially allows you to do any contracts from day 1, for a very minimal cost. I think if you have the equipment to do the work, then why not? People do odd jobs all the time in real life if they have the equipment.
They put the contracts in for a reason. This type of play through there's no problem unless they bug out like mine did. I couldn't complete them last night. The menu wouldn't switch to the contracts I've accepted.
My opinion contracts are not cheating cause in real life ppl take contracts make extra money. Just how i feel about lumber jack mod me thats not cheat cause any true farmer or anyone has had clear tree land in real life knows u cant always afford 50k piece of a equipment. So me personaly it isnt cheating close to real life ordeal

If it's in the game, it's not cheating 😉

100% agree as long as you don’t time cheese it’s fair

As far as worker's on contacts that's how businesses work lol you take the job and hire someone to do it love the videos man keep it up
Nothing wrong with using contracts or AI ....... keep'em coming!
Use all the contracts you like! It's your playthrough!
And just a head's up the raised ground on the edge of the rice field is adjustable when you make the field (up/down) to level the ground
You can also create a small rice pattie. If you never plant it, you can flood it. Especially for me since I am on console, so limited mods.
The contracts are my favorite part of the videos
Lots of small or starter farmers work for others IRL to supplement their operations as they build them up
To me doing contracts is fine bc other farmers do go help other farmers out irl so in my opinion it's fine
Can't wait. These videos are awesome Chris!
It is your game, so if you wanna do Contracts, it is totaly fine. For me, the importent thing, is to see you are having fun. 🙂
Contracts are welcomed for A Let's Play.
OMG u did the music visual so happy to see it come from an idea to a reality Chris!! Loving it all ! :)
Maybe make the visual abit smaller and start it only once the music is more audible over ur voice ?
YEA, Year 2 Starts now!
My guy, contracts are life.😂
Hello from Sweden I ordered the game today contracts are in the game use it
No contracts are just the game. This is a let’s play and not a challenge run
When you start you need to do contracts otherwise you wont get anywhere, thats my opinion

Not bad at all. I like it.

That’s the main reason I do them. We could get by without them but the farm won’t change much or as fast without them.
I agree it's apart of the game and it seems people love using it. But i feel turning off seasonal growth feels cheaty to me. I feel like it takes away the management side of the game.
That being said as long as people are having a good time, who cares how they play.
Million dollar rice field only challenge!
I like contracts but maybe to make it more realistic you could only do the ones that you can use your own equipment
question can i have your playlist that you use for the songs in the vids. i think i can farm to them :)
I use an app called epidemic sound. It is not free unfortunately
No worries i am a new farmer and learning alot from your vids. Will copy the songs in a playlist

Dude, play how you want to play. Just don't forget to flood your rice field.
They do have a store delivery mod out for fs25

What happens if you take a contact and use the equipment to do your fields as well?
I'm not really sure why people call it cheating to do contracts when they are in the game for us to make money
Is it possible to start a contract and use the machines to cultivate your fields?
does your AI still work with new fields? mine are not, anyone know how to fix? thanks
