Tried that button. My dome lights are not wanting to turn off anymore ! Hope my battery doesn't die 😭😠
Damn literally no video was showing how to turn that off it bothers me when some one opens the door at night and it iluminates all the inside or even when you take your key out of the ignition it helped me a lot thanks

I have a 2001 Yukon XL and the dome lights stay on no matter what I have to unplug the BCM then plug it back up and hurry to close the door before they turn back on what could be keeping the lights on
what if when you try to shut it off, it kicks back on about 2 seconds after override? I typically have it turned off all the time. this issues just started happening.. is this a fuse or button issue?

Working on a new-to-me square body Suburban and I can't get over the fact that there is no off switch on dome lihts and not even a master "off" switch like this "dome light override". As this is my 1st US-made car I have a question: Is it typical for US cars to not have switches in dome lights, other than for map lights?

The Square button with the \ backward slash through the 1/2 light bulb symbol. Another attitude check failure for me moving from a 71' Oldsmobile to an 07' Yukon.
Hey bro how can I make my dome lights turn on automatically Everytime I open the door , I have a 2002 chevy tahoe
do they come on if you push the button while in the cab? If they do then just make sure your override is off. If that doesn't work then there is a fault somewhere which could either be a fuse or a grounding/wire issue.
What happens if you press the dimmer control under it.
What is the button underneath of it??
My dome lights wont turn on when i open my driverside door but will on all the other doors.

You need to replace the door switch. It will depend on the exact model as some GM's used a switch that was combined with the door latch if I remember correctly. Not bad to change but more work and more expensive.
Also it might be a wiring issue related to that part
There's a little stick that pops out right under that button he pushed that let's you dial the interrior lights.

My dome light button won’t turn on when I push their individual buttons, instead the buttons turn on/off my dashboard light. HOW CAN I FIX THAT ISSUE
