I think Saniya is perfect for the role of Chinnu. Chinnu is basically an effervescent character with a good heart.
Chinnu is also trying to enjoy her moments of life with her friends "as much as possible" while she is fighting cancer. She is the kind of girl who always wants "to be remembered" among her friends and her admirers instead of disappearing from this world as nobody.
After all, she knows the pain of loneliness and tried to stay away from loneliness as much as possible. I feel that Saniya's performance captures the depth of Chinnu brilliantly and also fits in well with the context as well.
Although somewhat off topic, I strongly oppose the film's second half (from Chinnu's death) since it totally contradicts what happened in the film's first half.
With me, the film ends at the scene where Chinnu writes on the board how she misses her friends. For me, its a perfect subtle conclusion that shows that true friendship travels beyond sickness and death and why Chinnu is a queen among her best friends (her male classmates) in Mechanical Engineering.

@@trufan100 Nazriya is a little too old (around age of 22/23) for the role and a little too serious compared to Saniya's performance.
In terms of being faithful to the structure of the film's plot, Saniya's performance was perfect. The script of Queen calls for a girl of age 18 to 19 years. But at the same time, her behavior and appearance is that of a young innocent minded teenage girl around age 14 to 15.

I didn't see Saniya as 26 in the film. But rather as a teenager.
The definition of over-acting changes from person to person.
I didn't find it overacting at all since Chinnu is supposed to be an effervescent girl with a good heart.
Like I pointed out above, Chinnu is also enjoying her moments of life as much as possible with her friends since she is fighting cancer. So Saniya's performance fits in perfectly with the context.

I mentioned this post in other videos. So I thought I should share this here as well.
I like the film's first half while I disliked the second half (from Chinnu's death) since it contradicts the film's first half.
The second half (starting from Chinnu’s death) weakened the film. It also contradicts with true friendship (shown in the film) and what happened before in the film.
Chinnu faints at the stage and she has cancer. She gets cancer treatment and she gets support from her best friends (her male classmates). While recovering from cancer, she visits her friends during Onam celebration.
After Onam celebration, she goes back to her place of dwelling “all alone” during evening and night time. This doesn’t make any sense.
After all, her best friends know that she is still recovering from cancer and she also has the tendency to become unconscious. On the top of that, they wouldn’t let her travel “all alone” especially during evening and night time. In reality, Chinnu’s best friends would have taken her to the place of dwelling instead of letting her travel alone to her place of dwelling.
As the expression goes, it is better to be safe than sorry.
If anything happens to Chinnu, then it will become the responsibility of her best friends as well. So the second half (starting from Chinnu’s death) doesn’t go along with the first half since the relationship between Chinnu and her best friends are sincere. A sincere friend will never let Chinnu travel back "alone" since it is totally unsafe for Chinnu.
So for me, the film ends at the scene where Chinnu writes on the board how she misses her friends. For me, its a subtle conclusion that shows that true friendship travels beyond sickness and death and why Chinnu is a queen among her best friends (her male classmates) in Mechanical Engineering.
