- My good friend Ebe Dancel shares some of his top tips during the recent FILSCAP Master Camp in Subic Zambales. If youre wondering about the crutches, ebe sprained his ankle the night before the camp but that didnt stop him from joining. Love him!

When artist presents his art he's also presenting himself. The audince's job is to appreciate not to just always criticize.

I've been writing songs way back in elementary, but I've never shared them with my family or my friends. I feel shy since I don't want them to say that the song I wrote sucks. It's really devastating when you work hard on something and then people around you says it's bad. But watching this vid, I realized I have to be more open and accept the judgement of other people. Either they say it's good or bad I just have to keep moving forward and continue what I love doing. Thank you for being an inspiration!

When I'm feeling down on my song writing I will go on Rico blanco's channel and watch all the episode on song writingt tips, it makes me remember my purpose on writing songs, I think I've watched all of it like 20x.
I've been writing songs since highschool. For almost 30 songs that i wrote. I only share my songs to my family. And that's it. I think money & my job is the problem to not become full time but. Atleast i try and this artist always motivates me even more.. But someday God will deliver as long as opm is alive 👌🎶

The best tips i heard from a songwriter so far. We always hear tons of dos and don'ts from a lot of songwriters mostly on song writing contests. For me there is no such thing as "wrong" or unacceptable in writing songs as long as you really preffer to write it that way. And yes, you don"t write for anyone but youself. There are only 2 kinds of songs... good and bad, but these are interchangeable opinions among different people.
rico blanco have shown us his passion about music especially about opm..im glad that he featured about ebe dancel, ebe is one of those uderrated artist on this generation..ebe deserved acknowledgement like rico does..

Sobrang daming naglalabasan ngayon na mga banda at yung mga Kanta sobrang ganda like bandang lapis, December Avenue at iba pa, di lang talaga sila mabigyan ng chance dahil dito sa Pilipinas big deal yung status mo Pero sa tulong ng social media naeexpress na nila ngayon yung song nagusto nila mashare at mapakinggan ng viewers nila.

Nag papa salamat ulit ako sayo sir Rico ng dahil dito nagkaroon ako ng lakas ng loob gumawa ng kanta at iparinig sa kaibigan ko at hindi kakilala. Feeling ko alam ko na kung bakit ako nabuhay. Hindi ako titigil gumawa ng kanta dahil masaya ako pag nakakagawa ako ng kanta. Ng dahil sayo sir na bago mo pananaw ko. Maraming salamat ulit sir Rico.

I write songs not to impress people or brag it to anyone. I write songs when I feel it. I played it to my loveones tho I want to record it for myself and loveones its just i dont know how to or where or when to start. Now i since i dont have a guitar still keep on writing songs and lay it with some beats (rap) it still makes me happh when I express mg feelings and made a beautiful songs (atleast for me) out of it. More power sir ebe and sir rico. Keep it up.

Salamat sa content na to :) ang gusto ko naman malaman sir kung pano mag arrange ng song as a band halimbawa ganto sir sa intro anu kayang gagawin ng gitarista dun pano kaya palo ng drums dun etc Yung mga ganun sir rico may banda po kasi ako may compo kami ang kaso sir pag datin na sa aregluhan pano naman siya i cconvert sa full band :( kelangan ba sir malawak kaalaman namin sa instrument? If youre putting god in between these tips, then i will never learn how to create music. This skill dont require a supernatural being because
1) its not real
2) why would u need a god to create music if he/she will make it for you anyway. Its never gonna be your original. Every bit of music that plays its absolutely a cover song. Why would you need to facilitate a big event for songwriters if a god is just making it for you anyway? Why not just wake up and ask god to play something new that you will be covering?
I am not dissing Mr. Ebe i think thats how creates his music but real talk its never a god who will grab your pen and do it for you. Most of frustrated songwriters like me, needs something substantial something that makes sense. A tip that will make me think twice pause and start writing.
