    Dang... it's crazy how easier my life would've been if I just always had a TH-cam video showing me how to do stuff... my back window looks like @$$ with bubbles, hair stuck on it & everything. It was my 2nd attempt & I went through so much trouble I just said "screw it, good enough" since I only wanted it to keep the sun out of my toddler daughter's eyes

      Takes the static out doesn’t stick to cling to your hands

    • @tommielee8
      @tommielee8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      i guessing ..but the softener in the sheets give the glass less "cling".
      Allows for a smooth surface where tearing and air pockets are sometimes problematic.

    Paying someone who knows what they’re doing to tint your windows is always worth it. Yeah you could do it yourself, but at the same time it’s an annoying skill that you’re never going to use again or at least not for a long time. Coming from a guy whose tinted at least 7 of his cars himself as a teen.

    • @Breese147

      Probably be cause the cheap shop you used didn’t clean the exterior of the glass afterwards😂 or crappy adhesive which means crappy film.

    We never did this in the 80s. We held the sheet up to the window and cut it with a razor blade (not a box cutter). We then sprayed the poop out of the window with Windex. We then peeled the clear part off and started from top using a credit card. Anything that was over We trimmed up with the razor blade. Our tint stayed on for years. 😂 I did my own windows for $19.00

    When I was in my early 20's (40+ years ago) I worked at an Arizona screen company and did everything except tinting. There was another guy who did that and he would slice & cut the film on the outside of the window just like you do here, then install it inside. I'd have to say I prefer your method over his.
