We were only able to provide external access to our buildings because the residential units are occupied by their private owners. However, all the completed projects displayed in this video are projects we worked on, some with our external partners. This gives you an idea of what our finished work looks like. The interior at 0:57 to 1:09 gives you an idea of our grade C finished interior, this was a partnered library project with our team.

Excellent! Reintroducing an old building technique. Our ancestors were eco-friendly long before someone coined the term. It's great to see us coming full circle trying to undo all the damage 'modern' humans did and are still doing to the environment. Well done Brother!

Rammed earth is healthier air quality, there is better insulation and less need to use air conditioning. In California only the rich can afford to build rammed earth homes. This is how I'm building my home.

Why only the rich can build rammed earth homes in California? Is the soil too expensive or where does the cost come from?

Thank you for saying what I'm feeling. In US living in toxic environments with elements such as Carpets, pet dander, wooden floors, smoke damaged wood not processed correctly or not at all being used for them, as well as painted walls with unknown elements in them are not doing anything but elevating headaches and Allergies. So yes, these homes are more of what I'm interested in. Looking forward. Bless you all.

This is brilliant! I have often wondered why this method is not more popular in Africa, concrete buildings are hot in summer and cold in winter so you need to spend a lot in electricity all year around to be comfortable at home. There are beautiful example of beautiful architecture homes made with earth bags also. I hope that Africans will stop to follow blindly the west and do what is more appropriate for their own weather and resources.
Congratulations, this is very hopeful to see. ❤️🇧🇷

Sounds great. Housing costs here in America are very wasteful and deceptive. The key is starting with a good plan that orients the house to the sun. Water and solar energy harvesting should be added to that list for heating, cooling and growing food. A quarter to a half an acre extra for growing food, flowers and fruit trees can start to make your life pleasurable. Enjoy life. Another thing, you don't really need a lot of space. This becomes obvious when you have to clean that space regularly. Rather, we need to learn how to use space more effectively for multiple purposes.

Living in an area with good, fairly regular weather helps a ton as well! I've lived in Japan a very long time, so I'm used to living in very small spaces. So, I started thinking about building a tiny house in the States, but because it's become so popular, the prices have gone up prohibitively, never mind about the deceptive costs of land. So, I'd love something like this.

The big cement companies such as Ghacem, diamond, dangote, etc have hijacked the building industry with cement buildings for profit reasons. Most Houses in Europe and America are over centuries old so Africa has no option but to change course.Cost of houses in Ghana for example is so expensive due to all the cement factor from blocks, to concrete to plastering.

Hi, ❤️ from India , I think the reason that this isn't a widely used technique is scalability and time of construction. In India there r programs in which old earthen homes r getting reconstructed in villages with modern technology but ramped earth isn't used widely, for that reson. Though one thing is sure, that it can pass test of time unlike any other things.

This is such an amazing and affordable housing that allows me to go Green 💚.
It is so cost effective and a quicker than usual way to get started on building. So many ideas are in my head right now.
Ex. Can I attach a solar panel roof. Is it possible to build up the foundation of 6" (inches) before the actual structure is constructed?
Is it possible to add a backup generator, other selective energy switches to avoid brown out or destruction of sensitive equipment and refrigeration, etc.
Is the bore hole and septic system cost different and do you have your own people?
And lastly, if I started a 2 bedroom flat and later want to add-on a two story structure, is it possible?

I absolutely love your programming.. Your questions are always so relevant. And the men and women that you feature are brilliant in their building processes. It sometimes sometimes it is difficult to understand the accent but using close captioning Doesn't help because words are mispelled misspelled. Like this process was misspelled about 4 different times so I have no idea what the proper one is.. Do you have control over correcting the close captioning. Thank you for the letting the world see this wonderful people.

Okay my brother I salute you. Your Construction is very close to the poor people who have no floors, in Africa who have no running water, in their little huts now we're getting close to them being able to afford a $2,500 eco-friendly house I salute you my brother. AND I better not hear about you going up on the price🙂 I hope you got a sense of humor my brother!!! SHALOM

mmmn. I like the idea but I really need to see the aesthetics. The ones built in South Africa and north america use machinary and so look really neat and smooth. As someone pointed out they need an example or show home.

I would put in an underground pipe (20 to 30cm 8 to 12 inch) about 3 meters eight foot down to provide cool air to the house. Painting the house white will cool it down.

This is great! Looks strong and durable. I live in USA and we overbuilt, contaminated the environment and overpriced everything. Young kids here can’t afford houses.
