I have a few female Quail because I love the sounds. I made the mistake of buying a male Bob White. Welllll at 5am BOB WHITE BOB WHITE !!! Lol.
Yeah! That was a mistake 😫. Male Bobwhite call is much louder and annoying than California quail male’s. My ears are also very sensitive to strong and high pitched sounds, so Bobwhites, parrots, ecc, are off limits for me😬

In Korea, chicks were born by natural incubation of quail in an artificial cage.It's even more wonderful to see quails in the room. In the video, they hear a cry and respond ^^

They move their head like that because they do not have eye parallax, so they achieve depth perception by moving their head.

True the feather has always hypnotized me more than any other bird .and I am a birder otherwise known as a birdwatcher...but I am sorry .the funny sound quails make is the WEIRDEST bird call of and bird ..it's just Soo different..and also I adore the way they scold you when you interrupt their walk .and the way the fly away straight up min a diagonal line..it's not really flying they just elevate away!..I have seen hundreds but I never see one fly back down again it's so strange. They are so stand offish..how did you capture or tame this one?
I hatched his egg at home, in an incubator! I raised him from hatch, and I spent A LOT of time with him! No secrets at all😉

I make A LOT OF WORK to tame them! You have to spend a lot of time interacting with them from the hatching, at least 2h/day. The first 36 hours after hatching are crucial to “imprint” them with you, otherwise they’ll be scaried of you forever🐥
@@martinquails3395 I see the wild ones outside on rare sightings and I can never get close to them! I want to enjoy their presence but they're off to the races once they see you. They're funny little creatures.
@@dougyeefresh87 Yeah! They can be extremely hard to approach in the wild! Good for them!😅 That’s one of the reasons I love so much having them as pet, I feel that as a privilege!

Actually they live MUCH longer than 1.5 years😜. It all depends on the breed/species, and how much care do you give them. My per quails should live up to about 7 years, hopefully.
