At the bottom right you will see a multi-coloured + sign - Hover over itand there will be 2 options, click the top smaller Choose Template button and you will get there.

The templates are useful if you want to make your site in just a few minutes, but they are pretty cookie cutter and bland to be honest.
Agree that they are a good start but not perfect. We can now also add our own templates.
