      Air in Delhi is actually fine. But there's a lot of dust in Delhi. The dust also falls under pollutants or it adds to pollution.

  • @rajivtewari6643
    @rajivtewari6643 5 ปีที่แล้ว +36

    People commenting on air pollution should know this. The air pollution in delhi is not the same year round. This video must be during monsoons when the air is much clearer. The peak pollution months are from november after diwali and onset of winter till end of january. The rest of the months have lesser air pollution and the air quality is pretty similar to mumbai or any other city for that matter. Air pollution in Delhi is exacerbated by its geography which is landlocked and becomes a thoroughfare for not only vehicles but smoke and dust from neighbouring regions unlike other metro cities which have a seaside to aid the air quality. Trees cant help reduce air pollution which is basically suspended particles in air. Activities like bad construction practices, matter burning and waste incineration, uncovered and loose soil cause bad ait quality and it is not the city but us citizens and our nations neglect of environment policies that is subjecting our cities to toxicity. We should rise above and stop comparing cities because we all are in the same boat.

    I saw the description of this video. It needs some corrections. It is Delhi NCT whose area is 1,484 sq km and it's total population according to 2011 census is 16.8 million. You should have mentioned this figure. The 11 million figure is only for city proper of Delhi which is distinct from even New Delhi (NDMC area) and lies within the limits of the then MCD (now trifurcated into North, South and East MCD) Also, you mentioned only Delhi NCT's nominal GDP figures. The PPP metropolitan GDP (which is used more often than nominal GDP in case of cities) of Delhi is $370 billion (c. 2015).

      jeet sasmal Have you lost it? In what parameters are all those cities you have mentioned "far ahead" than Delhi ? And according to you, Delhi just has the metro and nothing else ? FYI, Delhi's urban agglomeration is world's 2nd largest after Tokyo. Barring Mumbai, no other Indian city comes even close to Delhi in terms of overall economic clout. As a metropolitan area, Delhi-NCR has even overtaken MMR of Mumbai in GDP as per the recent reports of Oxford and Brookings. And improve your English first before uttering rubbish. LOL, which "chat street" opens in Ahmadabad after midnight ? Despite the "terribly unsafe" tag fondly attached to Delhi by jealous outsiders, Delhiites enjoy a much better nightlife than most other cities.
