Thanks, great video. I've just done the 180 mod in less than 10 mins following this. I always look to blank the EGR on a diesel if I can and the state of them when I do shows that its worth doing.
Thanks for the effort to create this content and make it very understandable 👍 just did this mod without removing the intake collector - only took the air filter housing off and its really a 30 minute job. Will test the car tomorrow and hopefully this mod will make the car feel more responsive below 2000 rpm
Just to say I've been driving with mine unplugged for about 2 weeks. Have yet to have any check engine lights. Mine was clocked poorly so I returned it to normal. It then wouldn't rev above 1500rpm with it plugged in. Unplugged and it works fine. Have left it alone since 😅
Is there any risk of too lean burning and destroy the pistons or injectors? is there a lambda probe on this trafic 1.9 to measure or is it just desided by the computer how much fuel he enters? how many miles /km did you drive without EGR already?
very helpfull i was having problem with my renault traffic van lack of power with glow plug light coming on and off so now blocked the EGR valve just the way you showed now my van drives better with the blocked EGR valve but will it have any long term issue after blanking the EGR valve please advice
@@2rmmotorsport Some people claim that after the blockage of the EGR valve, the temperature in the machine, more precisely in the turbo, will increase and this will negatively affect the plastic and rubber parts that can melt or be damaged, is this true? Thanks in advance for the reply
is it easy enough getting the intake off and back on? and will i need a new gasket for the intake? ive not done anything like this and my egr is stuck in and broken and vans due its MOT soon.
removing the intake manifold is a pain in the a••. If your EGR is stuck you can remove the intercooler pipe on the right hand side of the intake and use a pry bar to push the EGR out
Wake up pal. No it does not just collect and dump. With exhaust fumes reburnt in engine it stops engine temp reaching too high and then polluting environment. Plonker
YOOOO. Didn't know what my problems was. But the guy before me put a blank in. Nice.

Earlier models won’t throw a light, mines been unplugged about a year now.
@@fperkins581 still has fault lights ?
@@24ology no earlier models won’t show fault light. Mines an 05, I’m not sure what year they started showing a light.
whether turning the egr 180 is a good way everything works fine. I do not have access to such a plug.
great video, is this the sam egr valve as on the 1.9 96kw engines?
Will this help with the black smoke coming out of exhaust please
No, black smoke is caused by over fuelling
@@2rmmotorsportwhat the problems is over fuelling?
I did this the other day. My EGR was riveted together though so could just pull apart had to grind it apart.

It'll never run lean it an injection engine

There's no downside to blanking off the EGR, it's only good news!
@@2rmmotorsport apart from higher nox concentration and engine running hotter, as combustion is better due to more oxigen entering the chamber

@@ssdivizion I'd love to see some academic research of that! Always happy to learn :)
@@ssdivizion hotter..? not sure how as the air/gases your blocking off are the hot ones..if anything, the turbo should be cooler..?
In my case turbo lowed thru valve, black smoke and no power. This helped.
thank you for your video, I thought a simple plate was enough ^^
Bonjour !
Cela fonctionne sur Renault Kangoo DCI ?
Merci je pense que je vais essayer
yes!
Is there any faults coming up after it being blocked and disconnected ? Does it need mapping out ?
Great video. Very informative
Opel corsa c 1.7 dti should i delete the egr well it be ok?
Really helpful video! Thanks
Since doing mine I’m getting an intermittent fault like the engine is wanting to stall while idling runs and drives fine apart from that

@@2rmmotorsport thanks I'll give that ago.
I span my egr and left the solenoid connected but sadly kept getting a fault code of p0400
check you air mass sensor
Check wiring
Any news when these will be available?
dunno, nothing to do with me.
Does it need mapped out after this is installed ?
No if stay egr connect in conector.. if you wants completely out all you need doit remap ecu...egr off ,not problem for doit very simple
I removed the top part valve and still not running smoothly
Lo comenta en inglés pero con las imágenes se entiende
What difference does blanking off the ear valve make ?
Stops the both the valve and intake manifold gunking up amongst other benefits. Loads of improvements in performance too.

@@2rmmotorsport If you use oven cleaner you will never need to to remove the egr.
MAP sensor will detect that something is happening and ECU will throw engine failure light
Well it hasn't done so with mine, plus it's cured the lumpy tickover it occasionally had.
What can do to fix it?
just remove and clean once a yr. it is there for a resaon..
eBay are no longer selling this blanking plate.
Damn was planning on doing it anywhere else they sell em?

Yes, my mistake, M6x1 with a 10mm head

Best way is not bother doing it at all. Its there to save the environment by reducing the engine temp so no harmful emissions are pumped out the back.
Arse ole
It just collects and then dumps everything at once.
