Same XD my friend was waiting for me to finish downloading but i was actually just in the menu for a good 10 min befor telling him i was actually done a while ago XD
I really am enjoying remnant, not just gameplay or music, but the concept of the idea of mixing in the feeling of souls borne, division, and warframe into one game, remnant was so worth the 40$
This is easily some of the most emotional music to me. Whenever I listen to it I have a feeling of pervading dread and sadness, like how I would imagine I would if the game world were the world we lived in, yet I also feel excitement and happiness because I play this game with my best friend. I feel as though I'm living a legend whenever I listen to this music, and all I want to do is play the game
I absolutely agree. This music is hauntingly beautiful, but to me, additionally to the feeling of sadness and dread it installs in me, it also gives me that faint glimmer of hope, which I think encapsulates the world and atmosphere perfectly. No matter how grim all appeared, people had still some hope left. The first time I started the game, I just spent ages in the menu listening to this gem.
One big respect that the creators earned from me and many out there is how this game ran so beautifully in a low end spec pcs plus the visuals and gameplay were also beautiful .
Even on a ps4 slim with all the particle effects and reflections in water and smoke/fire/fog it ran smoothly in most areas, even the swamp(for the most part). The last boss' ad phases tho....was like grade 10 watchin a PowerPoint presentation
One of Remnant's understated and strongest features is it's music. Yes, the gameplay is phenomenal and it's a joy to blow away bad tree boys with your buddies, but so much of the music is genuinely excellent. Sometimes it feels like it should belong in a game with a larger budget like Dark Souls or Destiny based on its competence and emotional range. The main theme is just so damn gorgeous and melancholic. It really suits the game. Honorable mentions are the Ent's boss music, the Rhom Theme, the Harrow boss music, the Ixillis XV boss music, the Yaesha theme (makes me think of Oblivion), and of course the Dreamer/Nightmare music. Rob Westwood is seriously talented.
Can't listen to this music without reminding the good times I had on it. It was a long time ago, and I don't want to restart the game, too afraid of changing the feeling I have about it. I did the entire adventure with my best friend and it is one of the best moments I had in my life, no joke. Going through some rage, sadness, happiness and a lot of emotions was something so fucking good. If you haven't already played remnant, listen to me. Find some days with your best friend, and play this game. Don't speedrun it. Don't try to be the strongest character. Just enjoy this universe. Believe me you won't regret it.
I actually had four or five gaming sessions with Remnant before I actually paid attention to this song. I'd assumed it was your typical main menu fantasy music. I literally just sat listening to it on repeat for a little over an hour. Rob Westwood is a freaking genius.
Track has way to much hope, and beautifully orchestrated for a game that has you blasting hot lead through different worlds... and I love every bit of it. This'll forever have a home in my top 10 game theme list.😊

I would have to agree with you I don’t play any instruments but I’m a sucker for good sound tracks I love all music ( except country and new rap) my top 4 soundtracks have got to be 4 Minecraft, 3 how to train your dragon 2 ( which this really reminds me of stoaks ship) 2 god of war remastered for the skull PlayStation 4 ( like god the was a good one the mix of Norse chating and the drums did it for me) and this one takes the cake ( the orchestral music and the choir in the back makes it a really good song it really sets the tone for the game of kill or be killed of living in a world where humanity is hanging by a thread and you and your squad are the only ones who can save it and if you don’t humanity is done for but it also gives off the tone of hopefulness that everything will be ok) so all in all I adore this sound track but if I named em all that would make this post about 3x longer Also if you read this your pogger
This theme gives a sad but hopeful vibe, representing the struggle in the fight against the Root but not all is lost. The second gives a more heroic vibe, representing the push everyone needed towards victory against what they feared.
@@ThedeadMapleoak Which is ironic, considering the fact that Remnant is all about barely grasping onto hope for survival as you fend off an all-omnipotent eldritch force that threatens all of reality.
As dawn breaks, you put on your gear, your weapons are loaded and ready. You are about to cross the threshold of the door that separates you from the eternal danger; to face the enemy that threatens your survival and that of your specie. Fighting for the right to live, another day...
