What epic days of steelhead fishing. I’m from Northern California and seeing days like these are becoming more and more of a fish story then reality. When I was a kid here on my Local River in my drift boat we would do this. And it still happens from time to time. But with lack of rain and new Low Flow regulations, it’s either Too muddy and high to fish. Or too low and closed to fishing. Headed up north this weekend tho hope to get into a few Chromers. Need me a day like this, never thought I’d pay to catch steelhead, but looks like getting a guide might be worth it.
huge Steelhead very nice catches would love to try that area.....not sure where it is but its probably a ways away from NY....I just caught my first steelhead Oct 2022....maybe half the sizes lol
