Thanks Dan I had surgery today for cancer and your post was just the right thing to keep my mind of the pain. Thanks for all the posts I have seen all of them. Keep the wheels turning.
Hey Dan, I’ve been “driving” computer monitors for 35 years as a desk jockey and just turned 56. We are similar in build, and the last 3 years have been tough, I think my metabolism took early retirement and did tell the rest of us who will be working at least another decade. Keep up the good work and Hi to Bailey!
I was a big bread eater and decided to lose some weight. I did not stop eating bread. I just cut back on how many slices of bread I eat a day. I used to eat about 8 to 10 slices a day, and now I cut it in half and drop 25 pounds. Find what works for you. What may work for someone else may not work for you.God bless safe travels
Started watching you about the same time as Indiana Jack. he's been gone for a while. Mayonnaise is full of bad stuff. Safe travels Dan trucked for 40 years lived the good ole days.I'm retired now. Still feel the chill when I see a Beautiful large car out for a stroll LOL. God Speed Dan.
the best thing you can do is reduce carbs/sugars and add more protein to your diet. add some intermittent fasting, 45 minutes to an hour of walking a day and the pounds will fall off. i lost 40 pounds doing this.
Bailey laying there... "Dog-gone It dad, where's mine". I used to cook breakfast for my pup and I, and it would be a good feed. Eggs, Sausages, Home Fries, Toast etc. I move at a pretty good pace in the kitchen, and having done this so many times, I'm running on autopilot. Obviously, I cook a pup-friendly version for my little girl. So it takes a couple of pans, the toaster, the coffee maker etc. But that morning, when I was done there had been a major malfunction. My plate and her bowl were side by side on the counter and I had home fries and toast, and her bowl had the eggs and sausages in with her dry food. Long story short, I had a vegan breakfast that day. My little girl, like Bailey is such a sweetheart and very considerate, she left me her dry kibble just in case I got hungry.
Dan as a forced retired driver I to was a big guy and in 2011 had a heart attack and my weight was a lot of what caused my heart attack so keep trying to get the weight down I we’ll never be able to go back to work it suck I finally got over 160 lb of weight loss but it was too late for me to be able to drive a truck so I’m praying for you that you keep working hard at getting healthy stay safe out there if we don’t have truckers we don’t have products for the stores 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏👍
Know exactly how you feel.. Since I was diagnosed with diabetes. My life has been going down hill. Didn't help that my wife passed away also. 30 years as a professional firefighter in Baltimore totally wore me out also. My saying has always been after 50 it's all DOWN HILL. Have a Great Day....
I been retired some 13yrs now and my truck belly is just starting to go. I've also lost 14lbs and that may be all to do with keep the lawn cut by hadpush electric mower. I'd guess ther are a lot of us that remember Bailey's first appearance.
Replace the bun with Egglife original egg white wraps. Occasionally microwave a piece of Jimmy Dean sausage and put that on your breakfast sandwich. You can find these in the frozen food section. I dropped 19 pounds through intermittent fasting, cutting carbs & sugars. Thank you Dan. Enjoyed the ride along.
I for one would love to see you do more cooking on the road videos. As a learning tool for new drivers on what they can make while being on the road as well. Just an idea
No meat substitute? lol Need a ham slices. Anyway, I thought when you got the shack that was to help with the diet rather than truckstop/fast food? Well, enjoy.
Hi Dan always a pleasure driving along with you and Bailey. Brings back the great memories of when I was out on the road. You and Bailey drive safe from Tim in NS Canada.
Dan, Cooking on the road is a challenge for sure, I cook on the truck as well. Besides the cost savings it does allow you to control what you eat. Safe travels driver.
I'm older than you, Dan and I've found it helpful, weightwise, to seriously cut down on Carbs, I barely touch them in Summer. I know you're still working, so probably need them more than I do anymore.
Hey Dan, thank for the reminder to stay out of Walcott this weekend. If you like PBJ sandwiches, those uncrustables are good in a pinch. Fattening but good
Hey Chef Dan. Bailey was intently watching your cooking and must have OK’d everything ;-). When you detoured to avoid the stretch of toll road, I got to wondering how much truckers have to pay in tolls in addition to all the fuel taxes. Thanks and drive safely.
i messed up once and US 30 off of I-80 at Juliett going east. that was the 1st time i ever ran into so many stop and go lights later i was told to follow I080 to I-65 south THEN take Us 30 east, less stop and go lights; at the time it was a 2 lane highway, but i hear they've widened it further east. wasnt many truck stops to part or rest areas on that route. hated driving it at night.
Dan, I UBER to planet fitness or I park very near a Planet Fitness...No body knows, I am a trucker unless I tell them...because I work out so frequently...hope it helps.
Dan, u won’t believe this. Today for lunch made Exactly chicken sandwich. I just added mayo, a little dry parsley an pepper. Good idea for egg sandwich. Take care drive safe.
I know you mentioned I-88 but stay away from I-80 through Joliet. All under construction. You get there at the wrong time, you'll wish you didn't even bother lol.
I switched to a low carb diet after I started trucking. I lost 50 lbs. I gain some of it back when I'm at home. You can do carnivore, keto, atkins, etc. Or just check on the Glucose Goddess and follow some of her recommendations.
Thanks Dan I had surgery today for cancer and your post was just the right thing to keep my mind of the pain. Thanks for all the posts I have seen all of them. Keep the wheels turning.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
@@davidcarroll8735 thanks to all of you and God Bless
Get well soon
Good luck Mark
car insurance agents say they have cancer
Love your videos.
I pack a Coleman grill. On nice days, I cook some grilled chicken outside and it stores well for the week in the fridge.

That's right!!! Moderation is key. 'Diets' are hit or miss.

Hey Dan, get rid of the bread and get a wrap that’ll help you lose weight because the bread’s not good for you and also stay away from the regular pop
Food has been compromised for a long time.

It's carbs that makes you gain weight
Just as .uch cards in a tortilla as a slice of vread
Since when did you become his daddy and tell him what to do mind ur own business

I respect a man that seeks out and fixes rattles. A well maintained machine should not rattle.
Dan, good to see you back on a video. I think I have watched almost all of your videos and I enjoy them. Keep safe out there!
It"s all that sugar your eating!!!

Chef Dans rolling snack bar. LOL
High protein foods and fruits and vegetables avoid the carbs and sugars
I always have sandwiches but have switched to a Keto bread that I buy at Costco. Cutting carbs and sugar has worked good for me.
Cooking show with Dan! That’s a neat little device to cook your eggs in, I’ll have to look for one of those. Be safe out there.
Dan, I love the cooking show, but don’t give up you day job.
The truck cooking looked great. Bailey is living the best life.
Dan going to RNC milwaukeeee... omg give DT a ride in yur truck w Bailey..

Those Hardees sausage biscuits are habit forming!
When’s the Dorsey step deck happening?
Looking good, Dan. Even watching from 35000 ft 3:37
Yep I remember Cali been watching your videos since so you want to be a owner operator first time commenting tho, keep on trucking 🤙👍

Yeah that truck is bad for the legs and back I did it for 36 years Another good one Dan 🚛🇺🇲👏

Its called old age Dan.I remember Callie, good pup.I just lost my last pup on Monday night,I guess she had a heart attack, she just turned 15.
Try some chopped green onion, and celery with your chicken salad. Thanks for sharing.
Dan's cooking class now in session
Any updates on the Dorsey step Dec
Nice to see some change in your content. Keep up the healthy eating!
Hardee's, love their ham and cheese sandwiches. Good thing no longer live near any. Lol.
They feed grain to cows to fatten them up. When you eat foods made with grain, you're fattening yourself up.
I love the easy back road rides, although in my four wheeler, enjoyed your ride as well with the great music!
No meat substitute? lol Need a ham slices. Anyway, I thought when you got the shack that was to help with the diet rather than truckstop/fast food? Well, enjoy.
👍🏻 Love my microwave egg cooker. I use egg beaters in mine to save a few calories. I also add a slice of Costco Kirkland sliced ham.
That was different I like it
Really enjoyed video. Homemade food definitely better than the biscuit shops.
Hi Dan always a pleasure driving along with you and Bailey. Brings back the great memories of when I was out on the road. You and Bailey drive safe from Tim in NS Canada.
More cooking videos Dan!
👍😎👍 we were just at the Iowa 80 yesterday. I guessing we missed you by a few days.
Words of every trucker "I know where it's at i just don't know what it's called" lol
Dan,
Cooking on the road is a challenge for sure, I cook on the truck as well. Besides the cost savings it does allow you to control what you eat.

That's how my Mama used to make tuna fish sandwiches. And she drove trucks in the original Red Ball Express. Look it up y'all.
Great to see another video in your classic style.
Hi Dan, looks like you have things all planed out.
Hello Dan, the word is "grommet " not garmet.
The baggies are perfect for keeping your hands clean as you eat & drive at the same time lol
Dan have you ever taken Bailey to the dog wash at the Iowa 80?
Hi Dan. Yeah for some reason life has a way of catching up with all of us !
It looks like you are eating fairly well. It is not exactly "gourmet" cooking but I could enjoy one of those breakfast sandwiches right about now. 😊
Try meal replacement shakes, great for when there is no time, and you're on the move!
Good to see you. Thanks. ❤❤❤❤
Carbs Dan, cut out carbs as much as possible. You can loose 5-6 pounds a month. Worked for me. Cheers, keep on truckin !!
Dan
You have the best trucking videos and the music is great!

Bailey 🐶 Said, hey Pops, what are you Cooking in the Kitchen for Me ? 😬👍
I hadn't heard from you in a while. I went to your TH-cam channel to make sure that I hadn't been unsubscribed or just missed a video. Welcome back.
When you tell us it’s a nice day I think Goldilocks. Not too hot - not too cold - but just right!! 😂😂😂😎
Hope you've well, Been a while between video's. Used to truck myself , enjoy your travels. Bob
Hello Mr. Dan! What’s the story on your stepdeck?
If you like meat with the breakfast sandwich, the Walmart frozen sausage patties are the right size for sandwiches
Thank you for the beautiful ride.
Welcome back my friend and Bailey
Stay well 🇺🇸🗽🚛👍💯
Dan, I UBER to planet fitness or I park very near a Planet Fitness...No body knows, I am a trucker unless I tell them...because I work out so frequently...hope it helps.

Thanks for your time and video plus the insight into how life is on the highway in America
Safe travels 🌵🇬🇧👍
Hope you enjoyed the pretty drive Bailey, your so cute girl. 🤗
What about making frozen burritos. But make them healthy. I've gained weight also
Good to hear from you again. Have you heard any news on the stepdeck? Just curious as I pull step and RGN . Be safe .
You should put some ham or precooked bacon on your breakfast sandwiches !!!
Good job, Dan👍👍👍
Beautiful Mid-Western day.
Dan, you need a sausage patty or a ham slice on that breakfast sandwich!!! 😋😋😋
Great episode Dan. Mick London
Now I'm hungry. 😄
Diesel is 4 a gallon in my state. If the toll was over 8 dollars, you saved money on the scenic route.
DAN, OPPS CHEF DAN, NICE JOB CHEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I switched to a low carb diet after I started trucking. I lost 50 lbs. I gain some of it back when I'm at home. You can do carnivore, keto, atkins, etc. Or just check on the Glucose Goddess and follow some of her recommendations.
Travel safe, Dan!!!
Fun videos Bailey and Dan 😊😅😮😢🎉😂❤❤❤❤
I've always wondered why Pilot Flying J and Planet Fitness don't get together. Truck stops and gyms under one roof. Seems kinda obvious to me.
Fruit on hand while you drive whatever you like.
Hi Dan
Are you any closer to getting the step deck trailer?
Cooking with Dan stay safe brother from the imperial county California 👍🇺🇲
