Nice presentation,but I would like to share 60 years ago this place was filled with thick forest and nearly 4 to 5 trees were there in 100 sq yards plot.
The loss of trees,greenery may not be known to your generation .This was the place where one can hear the breeze of pine trees during day.The same seems to be missing now.
If Shimla was to be developed on the pattern of Shillong,where the city was developed on 7 hills tops.
Yes by the time state was reorganized the damage was already done.
We donot need shimla as chandigarh , but what shimla was .Having born,brought up ,educated in shimla,I am extremely disappointed on the degradation of shimla in the name of development.
We really donot know the cost paid by next generations growing up in Shimla.This is news to me that I had only known my DAV school of Lakkad Bazar.
