  • In this tutorial I show you how to setup a crown splash from scratch with FLIP fluids in Houdini.
    I have made a few tutorials about small scale FLIP fluids and surface tension in the past but this has been requested a couple of times and even if you watched the other ones I think this is useful to get a better understanding of how to control your small scale simulations.

    For anyone stuck at 4:47
    Here is the solution:
    in the "create_surface" node inside "sphere1" > change the attribute "voxel Size" to:
    ch("/obj/AutoDopNetwork/fliptank/particlesep") * ch("/obj/AutoDopNetwork/fliptank/gridscale")
    and down to "Particle Separation" change to:
    ch("../../AutoDopNetwork/fliptank/particlesep")
    What was happening is that it was linked to the previous deleted "flipfluidobject", so change that to our currently created fliptank named "fliptank".
    Hope this helps :D

    Any idea on how to "convert" this to blender w/flip fluids? :)

    • @dopinkus
      @dopinkus 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whatcha mean "convert" to blender? What specifically are you trying to bring into Blender from this?
      Are you trying to recreate the entire thing from scratch in blender? Or just bring in the final geometry output?

      @@dopinkus - I'm having the same issue. Idk how to export the entire thing, with the proper simulation and materials and everything, into Blender

    Sorry man, but you would have to show how you fixed the connections. As a tutorial at least redo the process for those who are not familiar with Houdini. I had to stop the tutorial because I couldn't go ahead. I got stuck there. Good intention perhaps next time you show the whole process. the troubleshoots are important as well.

      Hi Eder, sorry about that. Your point is valid I wasn't thinking about all users when doing that and should have gone through the whole process. Will try and remember that next time.
